I typically get gel powder manicures and pedicures when I go to Aegean. They last for quite a while but I'm usually very simple as I cannot keep long nails. I recently visited with family and the person I went with had a regular manicure which chipped after two days. I never got to see my receipt so I cannot recommend quality for the price. It seemed pricy for the services I got but maybe that is just the going rate these days. It is usually never crowded when I go. I've been going to this nail salon for at least 11 years now. I always get the same thing: basic manicure, special pedicure, and a 10-20 minute back massage. Prices are on the higher end, but the location is convenient for me and I know I will always get decent services. To be honest, everyone likes their nails done in a specific way- some people do gel/basic manicures/tips;etc. I think you just need to try different people and find who you like the best. I find that certain people here are better at gel than others for example. I love how one lady does my nails,but I like how one of the guys massages. So I just make an appointment with a specific person. If I like how someone worked, I write their name down and remember that for next time! I think this place deserves a little more stars than what they've got on here. The place is clean- they use plastic liners in the tubs. This is my first time writing a bad review, but I'm sick and tired of getting ripped off by just trying to get a clean manicure pedicure and eyebrow wax for regular maintenance. Sent a total of $70 I had to pay for my nail file and buffer. I had to pay extra for the wax for my eyebrows. I had to pay extra for massage while drying my nails. i've been getting the same services for about 25 years and this was an original experience. They normally do a quick two minute shoulder rub along with assisting with ensuring your nails are dry, putting shoes on, etc. to ensure that your nails aren't smudged. I was left in the corner, laughed at and given an attitude for no reason when I tipped 25%. I think the prices are INSANE. I know that everything has gone up in price, it's 2024 but this place is too much. Everythinnngggg they do costs extra. You blink and it's an extra $1!!! I have to pay for the tools they use an extra $1 which isn't bad but when the pedicure is $65....what???????? Now I imagine paying $65 for a pedicure, the person doing my nails would take their time. The place had a few people and I was rushed. Barely filed my nails, barely got the old nail polish off of my nails before putting new polish on. Loved the space and relaxing music but the staff really needs to learn to do nails better and humble themselves . I had a white lady complaining next to me about filing her nails straight and having her nails painted with nail polish and the nail tech is so graceful towards her ... meanwhile I spend over $50 for someone who doesn't know how to do any mail designs and complains the whole time in Chinese dialect ? I spent 69 dollars as it was I was just going in for a regular gel pedicure they already peer pressured me into getting the callus removal . So I got that the guy jack did an amazing job !!! So glad they are back open! Highly staffed and the wait isn't that long, and the ambiance is so relaxing. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the calming music. They do try to push to gel manicures since so much more expensive, be aware. They do great with the waxing and my mani pedis have been good overall. read more

This place is absolutely disgusting!!!! I went in to get my nails done and they charged my mom and I $325 for getting a pedicure and gel tips. To top it off, she kept adding extras like "you want almond shape, it's 5$ dollars more" which nail place on earth charges more for the shape of your nail?!!!! I told them they were ripping customers off and I asked to see where it says that and they couldn't provide me with where it says they charge extra depending on the shape of nail you want. The woman who did my nails was very sweet and my nails came out amazing. It was definitely more expensive (with the tip upwards of 50$), but I don't mind paying a little more for a job well done. I only get my nails done about once or twice a year so I could be way off with the price but when I do get them done, I get the gel nail polish and it's usually a good amount less. The only con I would say is that at the beginning of my app, she took out all the tools from a bag that looked completely sealed and then at the end of the appointment, she quickly wiped the tools with the warm cloth that she used for my hands and then resealed them into the same exact bag that she took them out of. I have been coming here for many years and they have changed . Do not waste your time or your money . The last several times they did an awful job. My gel manicure was streaky and full of bubbles . My pedicure came out with uneven nail color . Awful job . One other time they did not completely remove the dark polish I had around my cuticle area before putting on my light polish so it looked as if my nails were dirty ! So upset about this place. It's right near my house and in a great location. Went there a couple of times, but the last 2 times left a bad taste in my mouth. Had a gel powder manicure and wasn't too sure of the color. The lady kept working although I was unsure and told her. She kept reassuring me the color would not be see through. Well - it was see through and not to mention, very thick. Now, I've never done this in my life but I wanted to change the color and start over. They said it would be an extra charge and I'd have to pay for the gel powder AGAIN (that's $40 and now another $40). I swallowed my sorrow and left with an unsatisfied manicure. The next time I went, I decided to get a regular gel manicure. I've been getting gel manicures for over 5 years (not with Aegean) and am comfortable with the gel. OPI is my favorite because it seems to last the longest. NOT AT THIS PLACE. I am not exaggerating when I say the gel manicure CHIPPED OFF within 4 hours of getting it. I went back and they fixed it no problem - but it chipped off again within 2 days. They absolutely without a doubt dull the polish down which makes it not last the normal amount of time. I do not recommend this place to anyone, unless you like to throw $28 plus tip down the drain. read more

This place is cute and clean. I called before going in to see if they had an opening for a walk in and was told to come right on over. Inside the place is bright and cheery, and there's a long line of pedicure chairs on the left, and manicure stations to the right. I got a pedicure here only yesterday and was pretty happy with the job Lisa did. Looking over the 'menu' there's one clear error: there's no mid-range pedicure option. Never going here again. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Every person has their own perspective on what they consider a good nail salon. I did not like this salon at all because ITS A FACTORY! They dont care they over charge you, they dont care to pick up your shoes for you, they dont care to pull out your chair. The water for the pedicure was cold, so was the water for my nails, and the nail dryer was a cold fan with no light. I can deal with these faults. The main reason I am not going back is because my nails looked like this (see photos). She didn't even look at my nails while painting them. Forgot to buff two fingers so it was bumpy, she polished them anyway. I felt so rushed, pushed me out of my chair, and then stared me down as I was leaving to make sure she got a tip. This isn't my usual place but I had somewhere to go nearby. I thought the prices were a little bit more than my normal place but it looked nice inside so I figured it'd be a nicer experience. I've never experienced a manicurist who rushed SO MUCH. She was globbing the polish on, getting it all over my toes (got a mani and pedi) and what's crazy is that there was no one waiting. There was zero reason to rush like that. She also tried to up sell me about five times, sometimes on different services but often asking the same thing more than once, even though I made it pretty clear that I just wanted a standard mani/pedi. My manicure is honestly one of the most poorly done I've ever had. It's been less than 24 hours and it's already chipped. So disappointed for how much I spent. Visit Date: August 3, 2014 I think I might have found the nail salon in Babylon I've been searching for. I came here for an eyebrow wax. I was actually at a salon with my mother-in-law the day before but my shellac pedi took so long and I didn't want to keep her waiting by getting a brow wax too, which is why I stopped here for a brow wax. They charge $7 for a brow wax which is average. I was in and out very fast. The lady who handled my eyebrows was very awesome. She didn't ask if I was preggo and she said my eyebrows were beautiful. She did an amazing job. I was so impressed I over tipped her with a $3 tip, normally I give $2. The salon itself is so beautiful. The floors glisten, the lighting is lovely and the pedicure chairs look so comfortable. Next time I want a shellac pedi done I might come here and see how they do. I was here a previous time with my girlfriend (she got her eyebrows waxed but at the time I didn't get anything done). They supply you with a bowl of fresh fruit, some green tea and water while you are waiting for service. So far I love this place! Let's hope it stays positive unlike my experience with Diva Nails in Hewlett. read more

Lovely large and clean venue. I had a gel French manicure, eye brow and lip wax and pedicure. The French manicure was lovely for about 4 days, much shorter life span than I expect a gel manicure to last. Like the other reviews, it began peeling. I opted for "French wax" for my eyebrows as the woman told me it hurts less. To my surprise the "French wax" is just hard wax. My eyebrows weren't the best they ever looked, so I touched them up at home. My lip wax was with regular wax... The standard. It was as expected. My toes were very well done, I opted for the $35 dollar special. It claims it comes with a ten minute foot massage, but I maybe received a 3-4 minute rub. Overall it was a pretty basic experience except for the disappointment in my gel French manicure. For the area this place is on the pricey side. read more

I have never been to this nail salon before but am very glad I haven't. giving this 2 starts only cus my mother-in-laws manicure (powder dipped) came out very good (She had Sandy). So my mother-in-law and I went here because she had a gift card. I ended up getting a polish change on my toes (I don't get pedicures anymore because of prior salons giving me toenail fungus and now that it's finally cleared for 2 years I don't get full pedicures anywhere). The polish job on my toes is HORRIBLE. Not only did she barely file my nails (after having to pay $2 for the nail file) but she missed almost half of my nail on 5 toes.... the paint job is sloppy and already chipped a few days later. I also got a gel manicure.. also horrible. My nails were filed, I asked for round. they are crooked and uneven. The girl did not even remove or push back my cuticles AT ALL, she just used an electric buffer at the edge of my nail and that's it, no removal. So -- let me preface by saying I always try different places for my nails / pedicure (I'm a nail biter so unless I'm doing acrylics I kind of "freelance" in the hopes of finding "my go to place on LI that you DONT need an appointment". So I walked in around 5:34 pm on a Sunday - you could tell they all had one foot out the door already. So I ask for the special $45 (which is a basic pedicure, paraffin, callus removal and 10 min massage and a regular manicure (PS when did that go from $8 to $14?) Ok. So I sat down around 5:36 got my shoes off and we are good to go. They did warn me my manicure would be done with my pedicure (which is fine) The other worker comes over, mind you they don't even soak your nails in water anymore - my $14 manicure took less than 6 mins and I got the "would you like tp pay now" before she applied the CLEAR NAIL POLISH a yeah no thank you. After she applied the top coat I had to ask her to clean under my nails - like COME ON- for $14 you could have done that already. Whatever won't come back for a manicure here... Moving on -- by 5:40 I was already getting paraffin in on one foot (yeah they move fast)... She proceeds to show me timer that says 10 mins (this was literally the worse foot message ever I felt like asking her to stop as not effort was given- We finished around 5:53 (for a $45 pedicure) I was asked to pay - I said ok I'll give $15 for tips - I was told it's a $2 charge to add tips (a TOTAL MONEY GRAB AS THEY DONT CHARGE TO PROCESS THE CARD HERE) so I said ok pleased deduct $2 from the price you just gave you - the looks I got was unbelievable (I'm sorry but if the tables were turned and I was charging you $2 FOR CASH YOU HAVE ON HAND ALREADY - they would do the same) When I asked why they charged me $2 for tips I couldn't get a straight answer but was told I could use the ATM (yeah ok) So $75 later ($45 for my special pedicure, $14 for my 6 mjn NO COLOR manicure, $2 charge for tips that were $13 and let's not forget the $1 charge for the file and buffer that I can bring back next time (yeah ok) Won't be coming back- sadly this place doesn't good business but I wonder if it's a lot of first timers. Clean, bright, relaxing, and HUGE salon. I've been coming here since they opened in 2013 and I have learned how to get exactly what I want. If you say no to an upgrade they will only ask you once or twice, which isn't all that bad considering the usual hounding, or "but why?" that usually happens in other salons. Don't bother with eyebrows here, go across the mall to European. Do bother with getting your pedicure, and get the extra massage, it's worth the $10. They offer facials and massages as well, but I admit I'm a chicken and only let one therapist touch me... If I ever get a facial I'll update to reflect that. read more

You can hardly see it but there is a small hair in the nail polish from the drying station. The area is filthy, once I noticed the hair I looked around and it is filthy, old lollipop sticks with wrappers, garbage and dirt. Then, after telling me he was timing my foot massage he left in the middle to go get something. He hadn't even started the other foot. With time running out. I asked him if he was going to restart the time. I didn't understand what he said. But could understand his hand gestures of frustration. He called over the man I'm assuming to be the manger and after consulting in another language AND LAUGHING together I was told they'd add a few extra minutes to my time.
