I stopped by Rainbow Nails on a Sunday morning just as they opened without an appointment. That was my fault. Oh my God, they were PACKED! And it is such a small salon. Only one girl was doing nails, the rest of the staff was busy with pedicures. Regardless, the one nail woman took both myself and my cousin in and we were both doing a new set of gel acrylics. And we were out in an hour and a half! With that one girl! Needless to say, she RUSHED. With the way that girl was working, I thought my nails were going to look like chunks of playdough. I was so upset as she was doing them, but after she was finished I was pleasantly surprised.. They actually looked pretty nice! That got me thinking - if she did so well working like someone had a gun to her head, she must be amazingly talented at nails especially if she like.. took her time. If you go to Rainbow, go with an appointment and on a slow day. The woman who did my nails - I don't know her name - but she was a young Asian woman with a short, medium brown bob. Very sweet. The color of my nails isn't quite what I expect but that's my fault. I still like them. It's been a couple of days now and it's been great with them on. I've gotten tons of compliments. And it only cost $43! The prices display as you walk in state that Gel Acrylics cost $50 and she said that with my coffin shape it's $5 extra so I expected to be paying $55 for my nails, but I didn't. I don't know if she made a mistake or something, but whatever. She charged my cousin the same thing. Now my sister went to Rainbow yesterday (a Wednesday) and got nearly the same thing as me and paid $60 so... I have no idea what's up with that. Anyway, I was happy with them. I made an appointment for two acrylic sets with my mom this morning. We haven't been to this salon before but thought we would try it out since it's close to our home. We walked in and the lady told us there was no such appointment made and proceeded to shoe us out in a way. It was disrespectful and rude and we saw two teenage girls looking at us and it became clear they took our appointment. We were told the girl had an appointment for 4:30 and that was ours. We understand people do shitty things like this and take peoples appointments but the salon owner didn't even offer to take us at a different time in the day we were rudely rushed out. read more

I love love love this place! Super modern, clean, accommodating and friendly! Everybody is very dedicated and amazing at their jobs! They beautifully fixed what the other place messed up and because of that I needed few extensions and they look so real !!! I paid $17 for a regular pedicure which I thought was pretty steep, individual add-ons were on the expensive side as well. The actual pedicure however was one of the best I've had in a while. I didn't get the nail technician's name but she was very detailed, took her time and did a great job. I must say though, the guy sitting at the front desk was on his phone the entire time, even as he answered questions and talked about prices. I stopped by for a quick gel manicure and their color selection wasn't the best. I felt that their gel polish was watered down and even with two coats you still see the nail through the black gel polish that I chose. when I questioned her if she was going to use the oil to cut my cuticles she proceed to cut them without anything on them and had the audacity to ask me if this was my first time getting a gel manicure. Yes their gel manicures are 20.00 but you always get what you pay for. This nail salon isn't a go to nail salon ,it's more like a last resort type of place. Will I be back ? no I rather spend The extra money and get a job well done. My mom and I had 4 o'clock appointments and we were seen at least 30 minutes post arriving... They weren't even busy! I don't even know why I bother making appointments because this happens every time! It never fails. The only reason I even gave this place 2 stars is because they are good with their pedicures but that's a stretch considering the fact that my toes are at a distance so to be honest, I don't know how my toes TRULY look. Let's rewind back to this morning... I came in to fix ONE nail and the polish on the nail was SO thick I came right home and took it off and painted AND reshaped the nail myself. I had a gift certificate that was 2 days expired (they proceeded to do my nails and eyebrow wax) I also gave the girl a 15$ tip When it was time to leave they informed me I needed to pay 20$ extra because of the expired gc. They should've told me before proceeding with my other services! They were rude and unprofessional ( the older women and the guy) I referred so many people there and they would not budge. worse manicure I have ever had, even after 3 coats color looks terrible, polish not on entire nail even after I asked tech to redo and pointed to area, polish all over cuticles and side of nails. I went with my daughter and niece for a girls day of pampering. Two appts were for fill-ins and manicures, one appt for mani/pedi. The girls got their pedicures done first while I went for my fill-in. The man doing the fill-in seemed annoyed and made faces and shook his head the entire time. He had no social skills whatsoever. He took FOREVER to complete my fill-in! He also cut my cuticles on two fingers while filing my nails. The girls were done with their pedicures and were getting their nails done and I was still getting my fill-in done. Needless to say, I did not get my pedicure due to the long process. Also, the prices shown online were different when we were checking out. My daughter had a fill-in with gel polish and wanted glitter polish on four nails (2 on each hand). They charged $35 for the fill-in, $15 for gel polish and $7 for the glitter. I think $57 is way too much for that! I will never go to this place again, nor will I recommend it to anyone else!
