This place was OK. I had great expectations given some reviews and photos but it fell short. Everyone was friendly, the place was clean and chairs well kept but the gel manicure was just OK. Nail polish is a bit sloppy and the cuticles are a dry mess. $60 for a gel mani and regular pedi is unreasonable if the nails come out looking like this. Maybe I just didn't get the right nail tech. read more

Very relaxing pedicure. Salon was quiet and clean and the chairs were super comfortable - more like a couch than a pedicure chair! Edited my review after the manicure. The manicure itself was fine. Nothing special, but fine. Filed and shaped my nails and cleaned up my cuticles. The issue was with the polish job! I showed a pic of a design I wanted and they said they could do it. Great. Well, they couldn't actually do it. Two people tried and I am pretty sure my 12 year old niece could have done a better job. I finally told them to just leave the heart off bc it was so bad and I needed to leave. I would go back for a pedicure but won't ask for any kind of design next time. read more

My new go-to nail place! I was going to my usual nail place I had been goin to for the past 5 years this morning, but they were closed- so I quickly looked up nail places open and decided on Mist. I was extremely happy with the job they did here! Rose was my nail tech and she was super nice and kind, and paid very close attention to detail and gave me the nails I wanted. She is awesome. The place is clean and professional, and they take their time to make sure you are happy. I will be going here from now on, I highly recommend Mist! read more

I absolutely love this salon!!! I've been to a bunch but Mist is by far my favorite. Their prices are great and the nail techs are all incredibly talented and flawlessly pull off any design you ask for- my nails ALWAYS look exactly like the reference pictures I show my tech (I usually have Gordon & he's great!!) My sister & mom go here as well (they see Lucy and Rose) and their manicures are always incredible too. 10/10!!! read more

For starters, the salon is super nice and modern. I've been coming here for a fee months now and have always had good service. I read a lot of reviews on yelp saying they were treated poorly and the management was very unprofessional - I've never once experienced that so don't let those reviews keep you from trying the salon! David does the best gel manicures. I try to go on a Tuesday or Wednesday to avoid the crowd. I'm in an out in an hour. I've tried going on s Friday after work; they were packed and told me to come back in 2 hours. I did and 2 hours really meant 2 hours which was s pleasant surprise. They have the best pedicure couches here! You get your own little sofa, so comfy. They only have about 5 of them so if you going during a busy time you're bound to wait. read more

I have been going to Mist for over a year now and I won't get my nails done anywhere else. I have had nothing but great experiences with the staff and they're always welcoming and friendly. I always ask for Chloe and she does a phenomenal job with my fill ins. She takes her time to make sure you're happy with the end product. I've been to mist several times and I will no longer be going. While they do a nice powder manicure I'm always waiting 20-30 minutes. And they ALWAYS--ALWAYS take someone who's come in after me first. I always make an appointment in advance and this happens every time. There are plenty of other nails places all over the area, so there is no need to go here again. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. To start we walked in and they were instantly rude they just told us to have a seat in a rude tone and didn't even greet us. Then second they are absolutely overpriced for their horrible work and do not deserve the money that they earned. I got a refill on my acrylics and they came out horrible my friend also got new acrylics and they also came out horrible they are too wide and uneven. They also cut her with the drill multiple times in different sections and caused bleeding. To stop the bleeding the lady put nail glue over it which can cause infection.. I am very disappointed and will never go back this place is overpriced and terrible with the workers read more

Salon has a relaxing atmosphere and is clean. It's been hard to find a good nail salon that does an excellent job, the powder gel stays on without chipping and they are very reasonable and friendly. It's not in my town but I make the trip because it's worth it! read more

Dirty, sloppy, messy. Old polish. No OPI or Essie gel, just a bunch of brands I've never heard of. Shellac was hidden in a cabinet and probably very old. I asked for a gel brand that had a match for pedicure; any color I picked they could not find the match for. I finally just asked for a simple pink...as you can see in picture the pedicure color is different than gel manicure color. Didn't clean up the edges. The gel color was thick and gloppy, again, probably very old. Too many good choices in Commack to waste your time here. read more

I first had a great experience because the place was very clean and pretty/calming and I had kelly who was very nice. However, I got a powder dip gel and not even two days later two of my nails chipped and the top coat started bubbling up, clearly something wasn't done right and I'm very upset. Also, they should really use clean/new tools for each customer because they use dirty tools that have been used on 100 other people which is gross. read more

I never write reviews, but I will today. Disgusting is all I have to say. Rude, rude, rude. If you want to be told to "shut up" by the 'owner' or told "whatever" when you're telling them that they are being unprofessional, and have a terrible job done on your nails then come here. Otherwise go somewhere else. I will not be coming back to Mist because of the 'owner' (I did not catch her name- but was told by one of the workers that he was very sorry for her behavior but that she was the owner so there was nothing he could do). I was left for 15 minutes sitting in the pedicure chair while the 'owner' started another woman's manicure who walked in before me. That was fine- I waited patiently. She then left the woman getting the manicure at the table and came to me- I assumed it was because another worker was taking over the other woman's manicure. But I was wrong. She rushed my pedicure- barely scrubbing my feet for a callus removal- there was water in the plastic bags that she put my feet in. She was rough handling my feet and legs...giving me annoyed looks when she wanted me to move. She left my toe nails with paint on them around the edges-not even trying to get it off. She left the nails not clipped properly and didn't clean under the nails. The bottom of my feet were still rough because she hardly scrubbed anything. At this time the woman she had left at the manicure table asked her to return to her as she was before me. The worker refused. I also suggested that she should go to the other lady and she refused saying her nails were soaking for gel manicure. I accepted this because that explanation made some sense even though it had been 20+minutes or so. The lady ended up walking out unhappily after a few more minutes of waiting without being tended to. She then started painting my nails over the old paint and the half done job. I asked her to go back and do a better job. She argued aggressively saying she did it already. I showed her the problems and the man worker next to her explained what to do. She angrily finished the job and then lead me to the drying table and stormed off leaving me at the table without turning on the air to dry the nails. The man apologized for her behavior and told me she would be back in a few minutes. A few minutes later she returned and stood at the counter ignoring me while I asked her to put the air on. After I said excuse me a few times while she blatantly ignored me she turned on the air and started yelling that she put it on. I told her that she was not being professional by yelling at her customers and that she should probably stop because it wasn't good for the salon. She said "whatever... shut up" and continued to yell obscenities while I walked over to another worker to tell them about her behavior. That was when the man apologized and told me that she was the owner. I dried the nails, paid and left. I am usually here every 2-3 weeks. Kylie? did a nice job on the manicure and eyebrow waxing the day before and Stephanie usually does a nice job too. But I won't return. read more

I walked into This Nail salon about a year ago, by Chance cause I was dropping off My dry cleaners next store, and it was Immaculate. The place is New, But they keep renovating and making it even nicer! I use David first guy on right. He is very fast& amazing with my very short natural nails, My Tips never come off when I use David! Also out of all the Nail salons around, I pay the cheapest for a full set here! You will be very happy with this salon! read more

I have been going to this salon for a while but I won't be going back. I had an appointment and still had to wait almost an hour for pedicures. To make things worse they took customers before me who didn't have an appointment. They didn't apologize and proceeded to talk about me to each other. They are rude and inconsiderate. This has happened on more than one occasion. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Not mist??? I went there a few months ago for my sisters birthday. It was our first time going to this salon so obviously we didn't know it was new management. One of my moms friends was talking to my mom about how she comes here all the time but did not recognize a single worker. Obviously there is nothing wrong with new management, but they were lying to customers calling the salon asking for a certain lady. They kept saying she's on vacation even though my moms friend knew it was new management. They told us acrylics were $50 but after we got them done they said it was $100 each. The nails were cute but not $100 cute. They also wouldn't let a lady use her gift card. Could have gotten better work for the cheaper somewhere else. read more

They don't understand what you're asking them for, I asked for stiletto nails and he gave me almond even after I showed him a picture and tried explaining numerous times I wanted them pointy. My mom received a pedicure from a different worker and she asked for French with a black tip instead of a white one. He painted her nails white and drew a black tip on top. Their acrylics are $25 which isn't bad but any shape that isn't a square is $5 more, gel is $10 more also. read more

I asked for an acrylic fill in and they told me I had to get a new nail on one which was fine . They than made me soak my nails in nail polish remove for A HOUR. They finally came over and tried taking off my nails that have been soaking in nail polish remover. They made me pay 10$ for doing nothing and I left in tears because my nails were butchered. I've been going to this place for years but it seems to me as if it is under new ownership.please do not go here. They tried to make me get a new set because they wanted to make more money. read more

They did an absolutely horrible job. I got a new acrylic set with gel polish. They ripped up my skin around my nails and left acrylic and gel polish all over my fingers, which i can't get up. They also didn't even file my nails straight and did the wrong color and shape. Horrible job read more

The girl got the red dip all over my hands, cuticles and my nails looked like chiclet gum. Thick is an understatement.. I had to ask the nail tec to thin them out numerous times and clean my cuticles and fingers .. while the owner/ manager gave me an attitude and told me it was my nails .. and I must have never gotten dip before ! I work in a salon , and have numerous times not to mention the color was everywhere on my fingers and palms . She didn't like my comment and spoke about be in her native language with an attitude the whole time .. finally after having filed my skin (yes you heard me correctly) and nipping at my skin with the cuticle nipper ... here's the "beautiful" job they were satisfied with ....needless to say I'm not And they charged me full price . They look like my toes , they are so thick and weird ... so embarrassed of my hands . I'd take it off but my fingers are in agony at the moment from the abuse ..

I got a pedi there about 3 weeks to a month ago. Everything went well. Today I called an made an appointment for 11:30. Upon arriving on time, I noticed that no one greeted me. I wasn't asked what color I wanted. I was brought to a pedicure chair and sat in the seat for 15 minutes. I have never waited that long for them to even put water into the basin. What was the purpose for my appointment? No one seemed concerned that I was just sitting there so I decided to leave. I won't be back.

The woman doing my nails seemed to be in a reallly bad mood. She kept huffing and sighing very loudly. I apologized many times stating that I didn't know I needed a new set, idk why I even apologized. She then proceeded to put color on my nails only for the color to completely break and not adhere on my nails. She told me to place them into the UV light and I had to stop her telling her the nail polish is bad. I don't understand how she could have not seen that. She was annoyed and took off the polish and told me to select a new color. The entire process took 2 hours. She was very unfriendly and didn't even do a good job. The entire time she kept telling me how the previous nail salon didn't do UV gel correctly - however 3 days after getting my nails done here- the pinky finger broke off the uv gel that they replaced. They are lopsided and the uv gel is bulkier on one side of the nail. I will not be returning to this location due to the treatment of your customers and terrible service. The other ladies seemed very nice but the woman I had was absolutely terrible.

These pics were taken 6 day later on Nov 27th. I trusted the reviews on Yelp and tried here because I wanted a place close to work. I paid well over $65 for these and I have had gel powder nails before that lasted 3 weeks. I don't even know I trust to go back there for them to fix it.
