This was my first time at this nail salon. It was 85 degrees out and they didn't have the air on, I had to ask and they seemed shocked. I must say I was happy with the way my nails came out, however they are very slow and my nails broke off not even a week after. $65 for a fill in and no designs is very overpriced. I also did not appreciate the nasty looks I was getting by some older man speaking in their language. Its very rude and uncomfortable. I've been going to Deer Park Nails for over a year. At first I got a powder dip manicure but when it started getting expensive I decided to just stick with basic manicures and pedicures. I was happy with the work and was a consistent customer. I scheduled appointments and was always on time, if not early. Unfortunately, there were two occasions that the nail technician was double booked. The first time this happened I agreed to have someone else do my nails, but the second time this happened I walked out. They had me waiting for a half an hour. After 20 minutes I got up and said that I'd come back but the nail technician said that she was polishing and would be just a few more minutes. Another woman walked into the salon and stated she also had an appointment with the same nail technician, she was told that I was waiting but the customer sat in her chair. The owner walked out and asked that if I'd like her to do so melt nails. I don't get furious easy but this pushed me over the edge. I scheduled my appointment with a certain nail tech- I wasn't going to step aside after waiting 45 minutes to let someone else take my place. I walked out- my feelings are that if an establishment doesn't adhere to appointments and respect me as a long-term customer, my money is good elsewhere. Excellent! I got the lavender spa pedicure and a gel manicure and loved both. The spa pedicure included callus remover & a 10 minute massage, and an aromatic lavender lotion and scrub. Under new ownership so the place got a major facelift and the openness, cleanliness and overall update get the four stars here. As for the nails, they charge as much as their competitors but my gel powder was around $50 for a rushed job that was only okay. Same for my pedi - nice that they offer spa packages and the massage was nice but at the end of the day the polish was a rush job and a little streaky I noticed after I left and was in the sun. So if you were going to try them, I would say spend your money elsewhere, but if you live right around the corner and are going based on convenience, it's not that bad. read more

I have to preface by saying I did not get my nails done here... BUT I needed to write a review because of how nice they were to me and my son, as well as how clean the place was and impressed I was. My 5 year old son and I were getting pizza next door and he had to go to the bathroom NOW, but the pizza places bathroom was out of order so I didn't know what to do so I went next door to the nail salon and I expect them to turn us away but they man at the desk was so nice and had no problems letting us use the bathroom. It was really really nice of them! As far as the place itself, it looked really clean. The other staff seemed nice too and were all smiles while we were there. It doesn't matter what time if you were here before everyone else, it matters how expensive your service will be. Disgusting customer service and they get mad to why there's no tip. I was back on Thursday for another two nails that peeled, and then again the following Monday for the 4th nail and the 4th time that it has peeled. I don't EVER write Yelp reviews nor even had Yelp downloaded on my phone. But I went out my way to write this review. I have never been here before and I will never try this nail salon again. I went here with my 12 year old sister. She wanted to get a full set and I needed a fill in. We waited over a hour. I told them to start my sisters set first and they said no and proceeded to do mine. I sat down and explained to the lady what I wanted. I already had acrylic powder with French and I explained to her I just wanted a fill in, square nails and gel polish. She could not understand what I wanted. I explained to the man owner when he walked over and he said " no were not doing that" so I was thrown off. So now I was very uncomfortable. I had 2 broken nails and she glued 2 nails on and proceeded to do what she wanted. She was putting clumpy beads of acrylic on the bottom of my nails near cuticle and not filling the top. I explained I didn't want her to file too much and make them too narrow. She said she couldn't do that either. Once she did 4 nails and I saw that she wasn't filling the top the whole nail I asked her if she was going too and she said no they only fill at the bottom and if she put more powder on the top of my nail to make it even it would be a full set. The owner told me it was going to be 47$ for my nails and 57$ for my sisters. Then she told me it was going to be 78$ for my nails now and 90$ for my sisters. The owner stood up and started screaming at me & my little sister because he said I was asking for too much and he wasn't servicing me after already starting my nails. I told the lady to just soak my nails off and we're going to leave. My little sister was crying and very uncomfortable and she called our father. The lady only tried to soak the 4 nails she did and not the rest of my 6 nails and told me they were charging me LOL! I told them I'm not paying for that shit are you serious? So once my dad was on the phone he said he wasn't going to charge me now for the 10 nails to soak off but he was putting the cotton balls on my nails with the foil on each finger and pulls a glove out and tells me to leave with the foil on my hands with the gloves and leave hahahaha ! And tells me to figure it out. I have acrylic nails on my fingers and acetone will NOT completely take off my nails without a drill. So he proceeded to argue with me and I explained I was not leaving till my nails were soaked off. In all 25 years of my life I have NEVER had a problem at a nail salon ever !!!! The lady took my nails off with a drill and took a whole 20 mins something I wouldn't be able to do on my own. This is the worst nail salon I've ever been too in my whole damn life the disrespect was CRAZY ! My sister was so fucking uncomfortable as well as my self!! This is the worst place I've ever been too and they should honestly just shut down because there RUDE DISRESPECTFUL & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !! I'm so upset and so traumatized by how they treated me but not only ME BUT MY SISTER !! Money hungry. I called ahead to get pricing on powder gel manicure and gel pedicure. I explained I had acrylic on that would need to be removed. When I got there I decided to do a regular gel manicure instead of powder. They started soaking my nails and never mentioned a charge for removing it. They simply asked if they had done the acrylic or not. When it came time to pay, they up charged me $7 for removing the acrylic because a different salon had done it -- but if they had done it, it would have been free. When I questioned the policy and complained that they didn't tell me about the charge ahead of time, the husband and wife got really nasty with me. Unbelievable. Penalize new customers for being new customers. On top of that, the manicure was terrible and chipped after 3 days. Its not about the money, trust me, I tipped both technicians well. I recently moved and planned on making this my regular salon, but this experience completely turned me off. I will not be back. I had to pull over to write this review and release the stress this place has caused me. Everything started smoothly with a basic pedicure and foot scrub. I did find that compared to most places the pedicure was rather short with no massage, however the tech was very sweet. Next up was my gel manicure done by an extremely irritated and impatient technician and I wish I got her name. My nails came out fine but she was moaning and groaning the entire time. As I made my way to pay I realized I left some cash in the car although I had 43/45 dollars I wanted to at least tip the pedicure tech. An older man, probably the owner was there collecting cash and became infurtiated and threw the cash back into my hands when I said I would be right back. He also kept counting 39 instead of 43 so we counted it together and I let him hold it while I limped to the car as I was recently injured while playing sports-- did he really think I was going to run away?!. As I was coming around the corner I saw him looking for me in the parking!!! As if I was some dishonest criminal. I came back in and paid and he never said thank you which I questioned. He then ASKED me if I was going to tip his workers..... so I let him have it. How dare you ask a customer for a tip? When exceptional service is not received why the heck should I tip you? Little did he know I already tipped the pedi person. It also took him 10 minutes to find a receipt book. I was referred here by family and it is an aesthetically pleasing place but they are in need of attitude adjustments. We are your customers. Lost one and I'll let the family and friends know too. Awful!!!! Walked in at 1:50 for a pedi and was told I would be helped shortly and wound up waiting until 2:30 and got no service! I told them at 2:15 I was going to be late going back to work and no one cared. I totally disagree with these reviews. I've been going to this salon for years now, but the business has been around for 18 years. Although other technicians are great, I love getting my nails done with Angela. She always does a beautiful job and I always walk out a happy customer. I'm a perfectionist, but I don't have to worry about my nails coming out poorly. I've done gel manicure, French tips, waxing and pedicures. They have a huge selection of gel colors, different choices of tips, and different types of pedicure option. She is extremely understanding and it comes out exactly how I picture it walking in. I just show her a picture and she knows exactly what has to be done. My nails get minimal damage and they last for a very long time. Their prices are great and their service is quick. I walked in today without an appointment and although she was booked with appointments she took me in and managed to get me out of their in no time. She even was willing to put off lunch so that she can provide quicker service. She is skilled and quick with her hands. I totally recommend her and even The other technicians who are excellent. I definitely recommend this place. Of all the stores I've been to, I am happiest here. I bring my friends all the time and they are always satisfied. read more

This salon is great. They offer a variety of different options. I get gel-mani, pedi and eyebrow waxing. I have no complaints. I don't live close but I make sure to come to this salon. They have so many gel color options ranging from OPI, Memory, Gel Polish and so much more. They have different pedicure options which I have tried all of. There is no wait and I am quickly taken care of. It takes a little over an hour which is reasonable for the amount of things I get done. The owners are very sweet and it seems they have many repeat customers since they know a lot of their customers by name. They also have appointment books but I usually do not have a problem. My nails do not have any issues and last longer than other salons I have been to in the past. If something does happen, they fix it. Great customer service and very patient with customers. read more

I went to this place because my friend goes to it all the time. I asked for a mani/pedi. Olga did my nails. While she did a good job but she let me know that she was not happy that she was spending so much time on me. She said 'they' are gonna get mad. Then it came time to pay. I paid and took out tip money. Olga thought it was necessary to remind me of what services she was providing as if what I took out for tip was not enough. I pulled out a few more dollars and put them on the side. I know these girls work hard and depend on tips but this is not the way to go about it. I had asked for a ghost design. After 3 different people tried I said it was ok I was fine with regular polish. Olga's sister which I can't remember her name gathered my belongings and picked up the few bucks I had left to add to Olga's tips. Her sister apparently thought that's all I was giving as a tip and then thought it was appropriate to point out the recommend 20% tip sign. At that point I was done. I had already given her 20%. We spoke to the owner, John and he kept saying it was a misunderstanding & continued to tell us about the minimum wage these girls make. I was completely disappointed with their customer service, Olga complaining that it was taking too long & the constant fishing for tips. I do not recommend this place. To whom it may concern, I would never recommend or go to this establishment again. I took my mother there this weekend to get a manicure and pedicure as a treat. Once we got there they did take us right away because they weren't busy. But as soon as other customers came who were also walk ins they began to stop doing my mom's nails to work on their preferred customers. In they end my mom had multiple people doing her nails which made us there at least 30 mins longer than we should have been. They also cut my mom's cuticle so badly it didn't stop bleeding until the next day. And we received no apologies of any sort. They didn't even acknowledge the cut until I complained and made them get her a band aid. And to make matters worse after they finished our nails I paid and gave them a tip of ten dollars for everyone who did our nails because I didn't feel they deserved anything more. However, they demanded us to pay more by embarrassing us, yelling at us, saying that as customers we should pay ten dollars a person (Five people). read more

i gave deer park nails many chances because even with an appointment, i went in and waited....i would understand if there were other customers...but it was only the nail person that i made appointment with and customer...with a couple of other workers just sitting around....last visit was the last straw....always was inconsistent with gel manicures...on this last visit she cut me....yet again...i would up at the doctors paying $125 with a bad infection....never again...i called to make them aware but so frustrating that there is such a language barrier with the owners. i would never ever recommend deer park nails read more
