Fantastic Nails - Pricing for the pedicure and manicure and waxing - Nail Salons Near Me - Deer Park, New York

This may have been the worst nail experience of my life. I went in needing to soak off gel polish and get a regular manicure. They told me it was five dollars extra to soak. Fine. By the time she wrapped the last nail, she was already taking off the first one, less than 30 seconds of soaking. Because they didn't soak long enough she had to work extra hard with the grinding tool to get the polish off and burned me twice! Then she cut me cleaning underneath my nail. She was rough, and rushed, and I was so nervous that I wouldn't even let her cut my cuticles for fear she'd hurt me again. It was far from a relaxing experience, and I will NEVER go back there again!! read more

I stopped by for a change of color. I live in the area and never went here before. But after today's experience I'll stop by again. Lisa does a nice if job with gel polish. Are they the most friendly workers no but they are focused on their job. The placed is so quiet and peaceful. Definitely recommend. read more

Fantastic Nails - 039 gel polish - Nail Salons Near Me - Deer Park, New York

I first came here when they opened and the service was fantastic. I came back here for the first time in two months today and I have to say it is still pretty fan. Today, I called and asked for an appointment for 3:30, I got there a few minutes early (3:25) and the guest in front of me was taken first, but whatever. I was placed in a chair after picking up my colors. Unfortunately they didn't have my feet soaking and I was in one of the not good massage chairs. It was a rough start, but the service and results were well worth it. Pros: They use fresh files for every customer Wide array of colors that are not old Callus removal- an embarrassing amount of dead skin was left behind this afternoon Cleanliness of the salon Cons: The wait I did not get a gel manicure this time, but they have an enormous color selection and effects they can do with the gel polish. read more

I went for a pedicure and it looks like a two-year-old used white out to do my nails. Nobody said anything when I questioned the service and I had to walk back into the salon for them to acknowledge that there was an issue. Another attendant did the polish and two hours later when I got home it still looked like a mess. Do not waste your money. read more

Vivian was so patient and kind with myself and my 2 year old daughter. I had a bad experience at the place I went to for many years but think maybe I found my new place and it's a few minutes away. Big plus. Got a keratin mani and a green tea spa pedi. Will definitely make an appt for next time. A tip is cash is better read more

This is the best nail salon in the area. It's clean and comfortable, a peaceful place to spend time. The owner and employees are very nice. It's never too busy that I can't get in as a walk-in. I guess it has been under new management since before I started going about 6 months ago. Being new to the area I tried many places and this is the one. Very happy with my mani gels, they have a great selection of colors. Great spa pedicures, too! I'm a big fan. read more

Honestly, this place is amazing, very clean and the women whom work there are super sweet. Prices are great. I am truly in love with my nails. Nicole the owner did an amazing job, she is very artistic. Family oriented place. With no wait and friendly efficient service.. deff going back. What I loved the most was that I was a walk in and she took me right away, no wait at all and that each person who worked there took their time with me and didn't rush. Really happy to have found this place.. read more

They did an amazing job on my and my daughter's gel mani/pedis. The bill came to $140 for the standard gel mani pedi which I thought was a little to high. It was nice that they didn't harass us at all about upgrading. read more

During the last couple months, I have been using Fantastic Nails. The nail place has changed ownership. They keep the place spotless where you can eat off of the floors. Every one of the girls give a great pedicure and I enjoy having the powder process. All the girls are very sweet and accommodating. I am very fussy who does my nails. Fantastic Nails is a keeper. read more

Under new management, Nicole is the best!! Does a great job, the place looks so nice and it's clean!

Don't pay attention to the old, negative reviews! The salon has new ownership since late 2021 and they are amazing! The quality of the products they offer is great, and the service is even better. I've brought Joanna all kinds of pictures from Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration and she nails it every time. Would highly recommend this salon if you are in the Dix Hills/Deer Park area. read more

Came in for a manicure & had a very pleasant experience. Nails came out good, prices are good, nice employees, and it was a relaxing/calm salon. I'd definitely come back! read more

Very clean and peaceful place to get a relaxing pedicure. The staff are all wonderful and accommodating. Tina is very meticulous when doing my gel manicure and it lasts the minimum of 2 weeks, can even push to 3 weeks at times. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Buyer beware!! I am trying to be calm. This was the worst experience at at nail salon I ever had!! Awful. 70$ for perm French uv gel. Except that they used gel polish and like a snake oil salesman told me it's the same. The shape horrible. They are thick when I said thin and narrow. I got the opposite. I am so pissed and feel ripped off. Horrible horrible horrible. !!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I went for a relaxing Mani Pedi after a long crazy week at work. This place is absolutely not the place for that. The manicurist who did my Mani Pedi rushed through it so quickly I was in and out in 20 minutes. She didn't look up she didn't massage or do anything besides file and paint my nails. The worst $30 I have ever spent on a mani pedi. I felt like we were all herds of cattle just getting rushed in and out. Even the other women there were complaining that this was way too rushed with minimal service being provided. They didn't do a good job at "express mani pedi" either. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!! Go 2 minutes down the road to JC color nails. They are incredible!! read more

I am new to this area and was desperate to find a nail salon. Some of the reviews I have read were down right scary. I tried one place that was recommended to me and it was a disaster. I decided to check this place out in a local strip shopping center. It doesn't look like much from the outside but once inside, I was very comfortable. It has 8 nail stations and 6 pedicure stations. Everything looked very clean to me. The manicure tools were sterilized and packaged. I was not offered new file or buffer as in other places where you keep it there for future use. My tech was Park. I believe he may be an owner. Very friendly and gentle. He made sure my nails were dry before I left. When I paid I was given a $2 discount for my next visit. I'm giving this 4 stars only because I didn't try out their other services yet. read more

After a long days work I went to pamper myself to a manicure and pedicure. I walked in and was greeted and asked what services I needed. Everything was fine until two ladies started working on me(one on my hands/ one on my feet). They were racing each other against the clock. They did a TERRIBLE job, rushed through it all and expected a damn tip. What world were they living in?? On top of that they had the NERVE to ask why I didn't tip and tried to block me from leaving!!!? SMFH!! Tips are NOT mandatory, they are a REWARD for the level and QUALITY of service!!! I will NEVER step foot, spend a penny, drop a penny or go anywhere near this place again. read more

Great place. Staff very friendly. The nail salon is extremely clean. I got a foot massage. I loved it. Nice environment.

I've been here several times and each time the manicures and pedicures haven't been that great - particularly the manicures. They are not well coated on the nail and my hardly last a week. I've been to other places where even the regular manicure last weeks. I've given this place several chances and won't be going back in a hurry. read more

I agree with all of these negative reviews. It's your basic nail joint. All of these places want you in and out. It's literally meant to get you painted (forget the hard core scrubbing, messaging and luxury of it all). I ask my self every time I try anew place why. I need to go to a real spa and spend $75 on an amazing pedicure to get that long message and relaxing experience. Just go to this basic place if you need a quick polish change and don't feel like doing it yourself. read more

Very deceptive. I brought my own nail polish, but they said to try theirs, and they insisted I change to nails even though they seemed fine. Cost of an acrilic fill in=$46. Ridiculous. read more

For twenty years I've been a bi-weekly customer at Fantastic nails and I can't believe that anyone would be unhappy with the services there. Not only has the quality of the work been consistent but also there is always a friendly warm atmosphere. Not to mention I love the mandarin & mango spa pedicure! Even after moving out east I still travel back to Deer Park to get my uv nails done, waxing and ped read more

I should not have given this place another chance. I went with my daughter for pedis. I asked how much for a gel fill/in. I was told one price and then after they started, it become double the price. I asked if she was using gel and said no this is acrylic. Then she brought out powder and said it was gel. The tech filed them very very thin. I asked for them to be buffed as they are not smooth. She said she buffed them with the machine. After asking and asking for a buff. She finally did it. I tipped $10 for a $50 service and it's 3 days later and 2 of my very thin nails already have cracks in them. Not a happy customer. Oh and the owner was playing golf read more

Horrible they had to re do my nails I feel like a five year old did my nails don't ever go there

If I can give less than one star I would. I went yesterday and they did a horrible job on my nails, horrible service. I asked for the most simplest thing was to paint my nails and it was horrible the nail was too thick looks like I just got presslines horrible presence I think press ones are better than what they did to me will never go here again please save your money and go somewhere else read more

I've done nails in so many place and this one was the fastest I've ever get a pedicure and of course it was not up to standard. My girlfriend get one same day and she also very disappointed. This nail salon is the pits. I am continuously disappointed. I only go there as a very last resort if my other choices are too booked up. The staff is extremely unfriendly. The women barely greet the patrons. No eye contact. Rushed experience. No messages, unlike every other nail salon in town. I really do not know how the owner has managed to stay in business. He barely acknowledges people, but most certainly the women that work there need to go. One woman (I wish I knew her name) is the worst of all. Never smiles. Always gives me the Impression that she really does not want to be there. This week took the cake. The woman took the towel from the warmer, never bothered to open it up to sir it slightly, placed the extremely hot towel around my hands and held it tightly.....almost almost if she was doing it on purpose.....she burned me. I jumped and said "owwww! That is very hot!!" She held her expression motionless and never apologized. Then she told me to dry my nails and left my purse and phone at a table unattended. She walked away and never brought my items to me. I was so angry with her and wanted to approach the owner, but there was someone sitting with him and I didn't want to disturb her. A horrible experience each and every time. They don't care about the patrons and if you ever return. His business will crumble and I believe he is not as full and busy as he could be. His competition is miles ahead of him and his staff because they greet their patrons, make them feel valued, take their time with the manicure/pedicures, are warm and friendly and hold a conversation with their customers, thank people for coming and say "hope to see you again soon!" And everyone else actually gives a very nice message to finish off a relaxing experience!! Not this salon!! The worst in town bar far!! read more

I wish I saw these reviews before i sat downn. I came in to be bombarrded with all these extra costs when i told them three times I just wanted a regular pedicure. This poor woman who came in after me was treated poorly. The staff has no customer service skills. Very nasty people. This was my first visit and will definitely be my last. read more

Manicurist rushed through my manicure. Never smiled once, never made eye contact. When I paid her, I handed her the money and instead of giving me my change, she immediately began polishing my nails. Did not even give me change, just kept my money assuming the balance was for her. Once my nails were wet, I guess she assumed I wouldn't reach in my bag. Very rude to assume the change was for her. She led me to the dryer and walked away. No neck massage, no thank you. Polish is chipping the next day. read more

I went in for a manicure, they rushed and didn't even cut my cuticles. Not worth going here especially when there are so many other nail places on Long Island read more

This establishment is absolutely horrible. From the unfriendly staff to the terrible services- there is not one thing I like about this salon. I have given this salon many chances over the past few years and I have finally had it! They ask for tips, rush through everything, and do a less than a mediocre job. The mani/pedis here are no better than what I can do by myself at home. The waxing is not even waxing. It's more of letting them burn you and ripping the fabric off without pressing it down first (hence removing no hair)!!!!! Terrible terrible waxing that leaves you broken out for days. Plus, they refuse to use strips with their sensitive skin wax. They let the wax COMPLETELY HARDEN and then rip it off with their fingers! SO PAINFUL!!!! Everyone is extremely rude and uninviting, to the point where they do not even make eye contact with customers. Save your money or go to Minerva Nails down the road!!! read more
