Additionally, do not lie to my face and tell me you aren't trying to sell me something. And to the owner, Scott M. Who repeatedly replies to complaints regarding no solicitation, you are wrong to try and sell your service when the request for no solicitation is ignored. Your reply is pathetic. had my roof replaced by Advocate Roofing, perfect job. They crew worked from sunrise to after sundown. Looks much better than the roof the builders put on the house. They cleaned up everything , plus they came by the next morning to clean again since they were cleaning up by flashlight the night before. Highly recomend. read more

I had the same experience as others: I have a no soliciting sign literally right next to my doorbell. "Ian" rang it and started into a song and dance about "working with some of your neighbors... due to recent storms...". First, yes, "no soliciting" means you too. Second, no, you are not working with any of my neighbors. There is no roofing work going on in my neighborhood. Third, there have been no recent storms - wind or hail - that would damage any of our roofs. And ironically, their office is only a few miles from here. They know this. Like others, I pointed at the no soliciting sign and Ian wouldn't stop. Just kept pressing on. Then I pointed again and said "no soliciting means you too" and he just kept going. More or less I had to close the door in his face because he wouldn't stop. If this is how shady/lying they are with their sales, how could I trust them at all? read more

This entire process has been frustrating for us to get a roof. Communication has been severely lacking and I would NOT recommend using this company if you have anything else going on in your life besides installing a roof. It started with Drew in Sales, who reassured us that he would get our HOA approval for the roof since the HOA company was the same as his own. We called him two weeks before install and then again a week before install. He assured us on both occasions that he would follow up with the HOA. He never did. It came down to the day before our roof installation and Drew had never reached out. Once this issue was escalated t0 Drew's boss, Jordan, worked with us to rectify the situation and gave us a $250 credit for our trouble (keep in mind that the credit never showed up on the bill). It was inconvenient and took time out of our day to deal with the HOA and Advocate to get anything done. Then, the day of installation, the crew completely broke a piece of our siding off of the house and glued it back up as if we wouldn't notice. No one admitted to communicated with us about this damage, we had to find it ourselves. Their work was shoddy and they damaged our brand new screen door. Again, we escalated this to Arthur, our Construction Manager. He assured us that it would all be fixed but asked us to pay for the fix and they would reimburse us. Absolutely not. The crew to fix the shoddy work on the roof came out 2.5 weeks after the roof was originally installed. We were told they were coming at 4pm, so we made arrangements with work to be available. They showed up at 10am, which caused chaos and inconvenience as I had to juggle work obligations. At that time, Arthur was contacted and told about the inconvenience and asked about the siding and the screen door. He indicated that he was looking for a siding contractor and asked us again to front the money, which we will not do for damage that was created by them. When asked about the screen door, he said they were working on it and didn't need any further information from us to get the replacement ordered. Today, as I am leading an important work meeting, someone shows up knocking at the door. When I did not answer, they came to the window to wave me down. It was the siding contractor asking if they could look at the damage. I consented and went back to work. Then, I get interrupted again to ask me if I had the color of paint on the siding. Keep in mind that we had NO notice that anyone would be coming to the house today. So, again, lack of communication on Advocate's part led to chaos and inconvenience for their customer. When my husband called to escalate, he was reassured that management would be contacting us, but Arthur is who received the message, is the one who called back. He admitted that he should have called to notify us, although that was not done. My husband asked him about the screen door and Arthur said they would just come get the door and rescreen it at ACE Hardware. There is damage to the screen, but the door frame (of our brand new screen door) was also damaged and we were reassured 2 weeks ago that Arthur had everything he needed to replace it. Almost a full month after the original installation, the siding still isn't repaired, our door has not even been ordered, yet alone replaced and there is no credit on our invoice for the original HOA oversight on their part. I will update this review when (and IF) any of those things ever get resolved. I understand that roofing is busy right now, but I have neighbors who have had seamless experiences with other companies. I regret not going with a different company. We read reviews on Advocate and most of them were decent, but I want to make it clear that this is not a company you will want to deal with unless you have nothing else to do with your time. Do NOT use this company. You will save yourself a lot of time advocating for yourself and your property by using a different company. read more

Same as all the others from over a year ago. Apparently they haven't gotten the message. We have a No Soliciting sign up and they've been by 3-4 times. I just ignore them and they keep wasting their time returning. I figure it costs them more money returning rather than me yelling at them. I know there is not a thing that can be done about the blatant disrespect that some sales people are giving to our neighborhood... and I know there are many other things to be concerned with but I wouldn't use this company solely based on their ridiculous marketing tactics and lack of general respect for signage (I have a No Soliciting sign, and solicitation is NOT allowed in my neighborhood). I'm at least glad to see other people have had the same experience and I hope whomever is in charge at that company reads these and will make some changes. "Brody" came to our house after watching me leave. He literally walked right by when he saw me leave, start my car and go down the street. He went to my neighbors instead, then came back and knocked on my door, waited and knocked again...meanwhile, we have been doing really good with training our dogs against separation anxiety and this guy got them all riled up and anxious. What, did he think the "man of the house" was home and he'd have luck now that the "little woman" was gone!? RUDE! As an added frustration, we actually have a BRAND NEW roof. This guy might just be in sales/information dissemination but if you can't look at a roof and tell if it needs repair, what are you doing in that industry?? Why would I hire someone who can't tell the difference between a roof in disrepair and a new one?? I have had it with these people ignoring our "No Soliciting" sign. read more

Advocate Roofing came to my house beginning January 2023 offering to help with the process of a roof and siding replacement and repair. Promising to work with our insurance company they seemed eager to get the job. They were initially here and present for the insurance inspection where our insurance approved a total roof replacement. After that, Advocate started becoming unresponsive in any communication with us and our insurance agent. Advocate began ignoring our calls, emails, and texts. Completely ghosting us for approx. 4 months. Until they finally came out to our house where they cut and took a large sample section of our siding for an itel report. It has now been over 3 weeks since then, and they have not provided any communication despite several, non-excessive, attempts that I have made to contact them. I have never had this kind of experience with any contractor before. And I am confused on why this kind of treatment is even happening, I have read the BBB, and google reviews, and no one has even mentioned this kind of treatment with Advocate. I am going to be filing a complaint with the BBB at this point. This is extremely frustrating. read more

This company had two salesmen going door to door and ignored our no soliciting sign. Then when my wife answered the door and showed them the sign they ignored her and continued to try and sell. My wife then got me and I again showed them the sign with the same result. They were relentless and wouldn't accept any answer so I had to just walk away as they were still trying to sell me. I would not do business with these people EVER! We had a hail storm in Trailmark on Sept 4 and all the roofing repair is done- long ago! These very unprofessional solicitors go door to door - disregard any signs like "baby sleeping" . They just stand there and ask for business over and over and over - with a very rude attitude. I literally have to shut the door in their face. And then not long after, another one shows up and we do it again. Hey "professional" roofer, did you notice the brand new roof and gutters and paint before you walked up to my house? I talked with my adjuster today on some follow up and asked about you. She told me to "run away as fast as you can!" They all come in a van or something and fan out. Disrespectful should be their motto. Three times this company has come to our door to sell us a roof. We have a "No Roofers" sign on our front door. We have told them we do not want a roof and will not do business with their company. They border on harassment and we are sick and tired of their relentless door to door salesman. No means no. We do not want to hear from them again. read more

We are first time homeowners and had to submit our first claim for our house. Jeff with Advocate Roofing stopped by our house one day and said all the right things ha! He had just completed jobs on 2 of our neighbors roofs that had hail damage from a storm and said it might be worth having him check ours out - our neighbors have lived in the neighborhood for decades and we trust their opinions of vendors and contractors. Being first time owners, we have heard of the "horror" stories of roofing companies taking off with you money, not completing the job, not being insured, bonded, etc... we didn't have to worry about any of this with Advocate. The thought of paying for a new roof was daunting but he checked out our roof and said the damage aligned with a full roof replacement and our insurance carrier should cover it. After that, he walked us through the ENTIRE process with our insurance company and helped answer all of our stupid questions without hesitation! Having never submitted a homeowner's claim before, we were nervous but he kept in touch with us throughout and let us know what to expect and set realistic timelines. He even spoke with the insurance company on our behalf when we started the claim. Once the project got started, the crew came out and knocked it out in one day. They upgraded us to impact resistant shingle. They left the job site tidy and were sure to do a magnet check Our new roof is fantastic, our insurance covered everything but our deductible, and we were able to take the money we didn't have to spend and put it toward other exterior items on our house.
