Went over and talked with the manager, Justin, and he made us feel very confident that we would be well taken care of with our car being serviced here. We were so happy with the diagnosis that did not cost a fortune to fix! Car is cooling nicely and one other item taken care for a light that was displayed on the dash. I had requested a written estimate which they sent to us after diagnosing and that is exactly what we paid when picking the car up. Now we will use this place for both of our cars for service since we were so well take care of for service required. But they also repair just about anything. I bonded with most of the guys here because we were all truck drivers in the army. They always think its cool since I am a girl. Even without that fact they were always nice and never tried to get me to fix something that didn't need it. One time I came in and said "Jack, its leaking oil but I don't have any money yet, please don't let it cost too much". When I picked it up he said "I fixed the leak for now, just keep it topped off, but if you don't get a new tire you are going to die". How's that for honesty? My truck sucked and I was there often. They would drive me home, to work, or just give me one of their personal cars to drive. Jack let me haggle a little bit over cost, and would offer me a shot or a beer from his secret stash in the back to soften the blow. Once, after I practically dropped my paycheck to fix my ride he threw in a 6-pack of tall boys. That is service my friends. When I told them I was moving to Cali in my heap they were worried and checked it out for me. They did "just enough" work on it so I could make it there but told me to ditch the thing once I made it. I got to Cali with no problems. I only wish I had sold it sooner - it broke down within a few months and cost $700 just so I could then trade it in. Oh well. T & D gave the lowest estimate, by far: labor rates for the other auto places were above $124 per hour; T&D is a single mechanic operation and I had reliable work done at this location over a decade before. The owner was honest, did what he said he would do and was flexible and accommodating. The work was done well and quickly; the alternator, water pump, radiator fan and timing belt were all replaced. The car problems were corrected and I obtained added info on the car that other shops did not provide eventhough one would think they would/could. T&D exceeded expectations.
