I would give them 10 stars if possible. We were in bad shape with a sewer smell in our home of 25 years. They took my call on Friday at 4pm on Labor day weekend. From that moment forward they took control of the situation keeping us informed with next steps and costs. Excavation and pipe replacement were needed. We made an insurance claim. They were responded quickly to each of the adjuster's questions/ requests. We did receive some coverage from our insurer. Hoping we are good got another 25 years!!! read more

Advantage Plumbing installed a new 2 stage furnace with humidifier and a new A/C unit in my house approximately 5 months ago. First I would like to mention that I have had multiple contractors tell me that the space in my house was too tight for a humidifier, but the guys from Advantage Plumbing got it done no problem. They did all the work in one day and left the place clean. I have ran the A/C unit for a few months and now the furnace, and they both function beautifully. After using some other, national brand, plumbing companies I found the one I will happily stick with. Entire operation was great, from Brian communicating the time Josh could get out here to Josh being here early. Gave a good quote upfront, didn't have the exact part needed but called a coworker who did and it was installed quick. Our water heater went out about 2-3 days ago. We had a tech from a different company come in have a quick look. They said they needed to order a specific part for it to be fixed, that would've been another 3-5 days without hot water. I looked at Yelp and searched around. Advantage was the first to pop up. I called and was greeted by Jennifer. I gave my information and what was wrong and she quickly got someone to come and diagnose what was wrong within 3 hours from when the call was made. We had an issue with water backing up in the basement. In my frantic state, I called another company first to come and clean out the line. It resulted in a temporary fix and a $14k quote. We then called Advantage (we have worked with them before and should have called them in the first place) and Scott and Harry came out and fixed the problem with no issues. We found damage on our car 2 days after replacing water heater, their van was backed up to our car that was in the garage when they did the work. We even wanted to move it but they said it was unnecessary, they will not admit to it. We know 100% the damage was not their prior. This is one one great company. We used them previously to service a broken shower pipe and they were quick, efficient, reasonably priced, able to diagnose give several options and fix all in one trip. They were also polite and no plumber crack :). Today our water heater broke so we called them again. They again came during the time specifications they said they would, gave me options and this time came back with our tankless water system we decided to go with. They were able to install it in one day and did not complain or charge me extra because the work went passed normal business hours. The plumber Sean has been out both times to our house. He has been so helpful and truthful with us, helping us find the best option to fix the problem. He does not create fake problems to increase the bill and doesn't try and sell us stuff we don't need. Advantage Plumbing saved the day twice for us in back to back weekends. The first issue was an ejector pump for the basement, which Josh replaced with a much more professional grade pump then the previous one and now we don't have to worry that our guests will back up our plumbing! The next issue was more of an emergency as we had a pipe burst at 9pm Friday night. Advantage Plumbing to the rescue again as Josh and co. came out incredibly quickly to replace the pipe and instead of just adding insulation they added a valve to insure that the issue never happens again. Hmm, Called them for a quote after seeing all of the good reviews. This was for moving some pipes on a gutted master bath, to which they said they charge a $29 fee to come out. All the while I am getting free quotes from other plumbers on the project. I can't review the quality of work here because I didn't go them, but no thanks to that! Called Brian on Sunday morning after sewage backup on Saturday night. He was the first to respond and be able to check out the situation. Brian inspected the problem and determined what the cause was quickly. He took his time (on a Sunday, and Bears season opener) to explain what had happened, the probable cause, and what my options were. Because of the cost, I had to get a few other quotes. If I had given the go ahead that morning Brian could have completed this big project same day, while the others said it would be a day or two. Jake and his helper came next morning with the permits and JULIE already marked the area off. They were very friendly, considerate, worked very hard, clean and took pride in their work. Jake & Brian even found a leaky gasket on my hot water heater and fixed it at no cost. They stuck to the original estimate with no additional charges like other companies. They weren't cheap, but I believe they are worth it. I called them Saturday morning and scheduled me for the afternoon. They called me and told me they were running late and gave me an updated time. I called back to see what was happening and they told me they guy was on the way. 5 minutes later a very professional plumber arrived, He took a look at the problem and gave me the "Best Solution" and a "less expensive" solution. I chose the best and he finished up in about 1 1/2 hours. I love the fact they wear the little booties to keep your floor clean. He gave me some advice about some other items will eventually need attention and told me how to get the city to address some of them. Overall, I'd highly recommend them. I wish they were a bit less expensive, but I consider it good value for money. I'd give them five stars otherwise. read more

My sewer pipe was sheered off outside my basement wall causing household waste water to stream into the basement through the wall. I called Advantage first - mostly because of positive Yelp reviews. They had a guy (Brian) in the area and arrived about an hour later. He correctly diagnosed the problem and quoted a price that fell within my anticipated range based on internet research. We had an emergency with water overflowing our kitchen sink and needed a plumber asap. Found Advantage and saw the good reviews, so gave them a call, crossing my fingers they would have an opening ASAP. They got me in between 10:00 - 12:00, so I immediately took it. Got a call back shortly after that Scott could be at our house at 9:15. Scott was awesome - took care of the blockage, looked at another issue in our house that we are hoping to have fixed in the near future and gave us some advice on that, and gave us a cleaner to help keep the blockage from happening again soon. After Scott finished and left our house, we turned on the water in the kitchen sink and it started leaking again. I needed a couple of water heaters replaced and piping changed to be more practical. Advantage showed up when they said they would, were better priced than the apples to apples competition, and provided great service. How many contractors would actually move your things and then place them back the same way it was? I haven't found many if any. Our HVAC has not been blowing cold air. It was too hot over the weekend and we tried to look for someone who can fix it right away. Through Yelp, I found Advantage Plumbing... I spoke with Jennifer yesterday afternoon and I was delighted that they can come over to our home the following day in the morning. I also mentioned to her that I have a coupon which printing out as 2013 on top of the 2016 date. She gladly said that she will take a note on the discount and will automatically deduct it on the service the following day. Jay was very pleasant especially to my puppy. I left the house for work and explained to my husband that there should be a discounted price. Jay did a good job on refilling the Freon but uncertain if there is a leak somewhere. We were charged in full and I learned about it after I was charged. I asked my husband why and how and told me that he thought that it was already the discounted price. He called the office and was told that they were not aware that we had the coupon and we should've presented the coupon. I was just disappointed with the fact that after talking to Jennifer yesterday, she still did not grant us with the discount. If they will look for the copy of the coupon, I would happily present it to her. Jay did a good job but both he and Jennifer represents the same company. I could have given a 5 star for Jay. I felt like I was presented a false advertisement. In spite of this, I would still recommend Advantage's Jay. =) read more

We usually use Four Seasons as they are a 24-hr. service and for whatever reason, God seems to send us HVAC & plumbing problems after 6 p.m. or on weekends. Not sure what we did to piss him off, but--Anyway, around 7:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, I heard the sump pump running almost continuously--and it's winter. It'll do that when we get a downpour, but when it's 25 degrees out? Went to check it out & you can just hear the water pouring into the pit. A leak? Broken pump? Obviously not a good thing, regardless. We called Four Seasons and got a guy who tried to call about three techs, none of whom wanted to come out until the next morning. Nope, sorry, you lose. Went onto Yelp for a 24 hr. plumber and found Advantage. Jay came right out, diagnosed the problem (pump needed replacing, which we figured) and gave us five options, from a cheap band-aid fix of the old one to a Rolls-Royce replacement. We opted for the "Ford Explorer" replacement as we figured we'd only be in the house for another three years. Jay returned the next morning at 7:15 and took care of business. We're back in business with a better sump pump, no tracked dirt and a friendly guy to add to our "great service people" list. Will definitely call when the water heater explodes next Dec. 25 at midnight. read more

These guys have been on the job with us the last x months off and on as we rebuild a house we bought to rehab into our "current dream" house. They've all done top notch work and been kind people to work with. Jason and Ivan did a great job on all the open wall work and were great at flagging things that should be brought up to code to please the inspector before it became an issue. The last two days, Dave , Brian and 1-2 other guys did a great job installing all the fixtures and finish plumbing - including a completely assymetrical free standing bathtub that they got to look "perfectly centered". That was after they carefully carted it (outside!) the length of my home to get it into the sliding door, back to the front of the house, up the stairs, and back to the far end of the house without a scratch or ding on it... And they did it with sunny dispositions. I never saw them rush, and they thought out every step of the process. There's only one faucet I would have centered about an inch or 1.5" forward for my tub, but everything else is perfect! read more

Advantage Plumbing's 5 stars on yelp is the reason I called them in the first place. I called last night regarding some plumbing issues I have on my first home. I told the very kind gentleman on the phone that I work M-F so it would have to either be after hours or Saturday. He scheduled me at 5:30 the following day. Josh came to look through my issues, gave me a diagnosis and solution options. Aside from the repairs you get with any other company, Josh asked if I knew basic things about my home. When I told him no, he took the time to show me the main water switch, the hot water switch, and the gas shut off. This was after he fixed my issue so it wasn't even a sales technique. I have never felt more comfortable with a company than I do this one. When I had complimented his company, Josh raved about how it is a great place to work and how much he enjoys his employer. Jennifer couldn't have been more courteous and accommodating on the phone when I called to schedule and appointment and went out of her way to work around my schedule. Josh called to let me know he was on his way and even put shoe covers on to do the initial estimate just walking around the house and I really appreciated that. He was most patient, nice, and knowledgeable, and listened and took notes.
