-Installed wrong pool, received Tamara not Dynasty as ordered -Receipt not given in a timely fashion. Asked for receipt multiple times. Did not receive until pool was already installed. -Pool install issues, pieces not lined up. Caps falling off. Columns misaligned. -Vertical posts started popping off, liner has wrinkles. -No screws or bonding ties for bonding ring. -Pool not in grade. Had to dig ditch around half of pool to pass electrical inspection. -ASAP refused to provide inspection information for pool installation. -Came on property Sunday, unannounced. Caused issues during Father's Day. -Damaged to double gate on property. -Left trash, debris, buckets of rocks, etc at work site. -Requested more money for sod removal. Not told about this until work was already done. -Tried to double charge install fee. -Did not finish pool filter setup. -Did not put in all needed pool chemicals that were paid for. -Did not provide pool class that was paid for. -Walked off job. Took full and total payment. Did not provide full services. -Threatened to not honor warranty due to us being perceived as "Biden Supporters" by owner due to our factual and very serious complaints. Do yourself a favor, for at least above ground pools, go somewhere else. I don't know if the owner just doesn't get involved with the actual day to day when it isn't in ground pools. Maybe the owner is just burned out and should take some time off. Either way, his company has made our lives hell since the day they received our full and total payment up front. read more

I reached out to Advanced Spa and Pool to help me solve a hot tub chemical problem that I was facing, and they were SUPER helpful and extraordinarily knowledgeable about hot tub chemistry issues. Having studied chemistry in college (and being a physician), I could tell that they actually understood the chemistry. The first person I spoke with was able to answer 95% of my questions, and when I asked a tougher chemistry question that she didn't know the answer to, she (correctly) reached out to her manager, who DID know the answer. Saying "I don't know but let me find out" is the best thing a person can do. It's okay to not know. Just don't B.S. me (and they didn't). I couldn't believe how much time they put into helping me, even when it became clear that I wouldn't be needing to buy any products off of them. I couldn't be happier with them. I give them two thumbs up and an A+ rating. read more

Summer of 2021 we got in line for Advanced to put a 20x40 inground pool in our backyard. Jim gave me a ballpark of a timeline, and was able to beat it. His team was fantastic, they worked in some brutal heat in July but didn't cut any corners and were very pleasant to work with. We used everyone of his subcontractor recommendations, and took any and all advice he had. At no point we're we in the dark about the process. Concrete was tough to get this summer but Jim communicated this upfront and it didn't really set the project back more than a week or so. This was an expensive project but the final product came out perfect. Zero complaints, would absolutely use them again and highly recommend this company. Today they came and closed the pool down, and installed the safety cover. Again, perfect install. read more

Jim and his team are amazing! They installed an Lazy L inground pool with in the target time frame and original estimate. Due to covid, some of the prices had increased, however, Jim did not pass the increase on to us!! He checked in regularly and when we had questions he always responded immediately. We NEVER had to chase him down! Jim was on site from the start of the install through the completion. The staff was professional, friendly and never left a mess. When the project was completed Jim came back to conduct "pool school" - Q&A on everything regarding the pool and Mineral Springs Saltwater System. We know ASAP will always be available to us with any questions or concerns. We give ASAP an A++ for the quality of the product and workmanship. We purchased our hot tub spa at Advanced Spa & Pool 6 years ago. Their installation, training, service and support throughout this entire period has been excellent. The few times we have had a mechanical problem they were fast to respond, extremely knowledgable and very attentive. In general their staff has always been very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I Needed a valve and tubing - brought the damaged pieces to the store - was told only the field guy could figure out how to order it so left the parts and my info - a week and 3 calls later no progress - asked for my parts back so I could go elsewhere and they magically knew how to order - gave them card info a day or 3 later and said order - went to pick up parts and they gave me a new valve and old tubing - told me that was all I ordered - Because it's not obvious a cracked water line needs replacement.... i asked if they stocked the cracked tubing and they did not - would need to place another order - I was debating ordering when they told me of another shop to go to for quicker service - I laughed and said "guess I'll spend my money there"... they got 2 stars because they correctly ordered 1 of the 2 broken pieces I brought them.... ...I won't be back.... pretty sure they don't care... read more

If I could give this company half a star I would. I am new to spa ownership and contacted this company to come in and clean/fill the spa and educate us a little on its function and maintenance. Let me start by saying barely any of that happened as requested. The service reps/supervisors were very rude, uncaring and condescending to me. The rep I dealt with was overly aggressive in her sales tactics and when scheduling my service. Even when I tried to reschedule service I was bullheaded into keeping the original date. I asked the techs when they came on site to please fill in my wife on some tips/advice about maintaining the spa since I had to leave for work, and that request fell on deaf ears. Instead they included and charged me for an extra part above what was quoted me without even a notification. Where the techs were concerned, it seemed as if everything I was requesting of them was funny/a joke. After they left I found my spa underfilled with water which now caused the motor to fail and no clue as to what was performed during the service call so I will now need to schedule another vendor to come in costing me 2x for the same work. If you want to be belittled, talked down to, frustrated, over-charged and waste your money go with them. Take my advice their service will not be to your benefit. read more

We needed some Pool Shock, went there today 05/16 expecting the biz to be adhering to the program for business's to open, like T-Bones across the street. Here's what we saw, No Employee Mask, No Social Distancing, after a call asking WTF, the comment was we are adhering to recommendations? Say what, the recommendations as they understand are pretty explicit to requirements to bring customers into your retail operation. Here's my take, if your a biz and don't want to comply post a conspicuous sign saying so, so folks like me in our 60's can decide if shopping at your establishment are worth the risk to ourselves or those we associate with. We will never shop ASAP again, it's to bad as we have frequented them for a long time. For the owner, as a fellow biz owner I'm taken back by your lack of concern, for both your customers and employee's, not only do YOU put customers and employee's at risk, but everyone they know as well, that and do you know on employee who gets the virus can shut you down, as all of you go into quarantine??? read more

My first dealings w ASAP was when they still had their store here in Billerica; was bummed when they closed it! A couple of years ago I was searching the internet for some above ground pool lighting. Not only did they have some; but a good prices, and super reasonable install! So this year when i had some sink hole issues (above ground liner), I called ASAP first! They were quick to respond...and had not only answers, but prices and options right away. Ben and the staff were outstanding; answering all my silly homeowner questions without fuss. While other pool companies replied w computer generated responses, or asked for pictures, their installer Greg actually took the time to drive to Billerica (in the rain!) to take a look at my issues...and in untypical retail cut-throat fashion said "no. This is not going to cost more to fix"! Greg went above and beyond. Squeezed me into his already crazy Memorial Day week sched (!), brot when the weather didn't allow for completion, made accommodations to make sure that we would still be up and running before Memorial Day as promised! I can't begin to explain the help I got from this company, especially the Manager Ben. I needed a liner replacement when I had not purchased the liner from these folks and he went above and beyond to set me up with an installer. The installer, Greg, was here within 3 days and did the job with little fuss, no muss and it was perfect. In fact, he shared many helpful hints about the care and feeding of my pool (have had it over 25 years and thought I knew it all). I honestly don't even know where to begin! We were new pool owners and live busy lives with no time or knowledge of how to maintain it. We called ASAP to have the pool closed and they took our filter back to the store to clean and fix anything that may be wrong with it. When they opened our pool, the filter wasn't working and they told us something in the filter needed to be replaced ( something we thought they already did) this didn't fix the problem and DE was still going into the pool...until we went to a different company. The "service" crew does not communicate with the "maintenance" crew. They are not the same apparently so don't think you can get a guy to clean your pool and understand/fix something. It continued throughout the summer but we finally cancelled and tried to do it ourselves. MUCH CHEAPER but we still needed them to close the pool. ALWAYS expect to pay close to double what they quote you, ALWAYS. They also do not consult you if there is something additional that they need to do, they just do it and bill you. Admittedly and angry I gave them a hard time about it because I was annoyed all summer with issues with them. However, for the owner to charge me before leaving the driveway in order to assure that I couldn't contest any charges is at minimum the worst customer service I have ever experienced, followed by him telling me to hire another company. I have zero intentions of referring them or using them ever again. They had one employee in the store who was younger and always beyond helpful- needless to say, he's not there any more! Beware! If you don't know anything about pools, expect to be raked over the coals both mentally and financially! read more

Our pool service tech likes Advanced, but I'm not as impressed. Called first time to speak with service, left a voicemail when the person was found to be unavailable. No call back...I let them know it doesn't help much when I am trying to get something done and can't even find out if they CAN do the job. Store manager called me and said the owner would have to answer my question, but he wouldn't be in for a few days (it always makes me laugh, when pool people aren't available in the summertime). Anyway, the owner did eventually call me back but I didn't answer my (cell) phone - because i didn't hear it ring. He left a message that he always returns calls at the end of the day, when he returns from the field. He said he would call me the next day. So, I waited. And waited, and waited. It's been 2-3 weeks now, and still no call back. Thank goodness I am no longer waiting to hear from that company! read more

On November 17, I brought a hottub water sample to be checked. My tub had a green tinge and smelt. With no charge the 2 Gentlemen tested the sample and gave me a printout with directions to straighten my water out. Did all the steps in order and within hours my tub was clear and clean with no smell. Great Job ! Customer for life ! read more

I had this company out to do an estimate for me. I also had the exact same patio company that they use come out for a separate independent estimate. Advanced Spa was going to charge me an extra $2,400 for concrete removal and an extra $3000 for the patio installation. So, they were making $5,400 for simply calling the patio company?? Absurd! He provides a no pressure sales environment which allowed us all the time we wanted to look at products, get answers to all our questions, and then make our decisions. Knowledge of products - outstanding. Customer service - first rate. Jim along with all the employees are professional, friendly, easy to talk to, and fast at returning calls. ... They provide everything including finished high quality landscaping, if you choose. .... Installation process was impressive to watch. Great skill and precision hoisting & placing pool.
