I have used them the past few years and service since last year has slipped . This year I paid again for a full pool closing and when I got home they had only covered the pool and not taken care of Hayward filter system. I called and Denise the manager said to email her a picture. Once she received it , she told me they would be back out next week to properly close the pool filter system. ( They already cashed the check) I was pulling in driveway they were leaving and I stopped and asked if everything was done properly this time ? They said yea. NOT even close look at pictures below. Peter, the owner, has many lawsuits against him. Why? Because the quality of the install is subpar. Has a pool installed 4 years ago and continue to have issues. Concrete cracking/ falling off the cantilevers edge. Plaster is so thin that it already needs to be replaced. His workers are a mess and literally leave trash around daily. You will not be happy using this company for your pool. read more

Aquatime pool has been a total disappointment I hired them to renovate my pool back in March and after completion of my brand new pool coping after 1 month has cracked in over 20 areas. I have attempted to contact owner Peter on many occasions to remediate this issue. Received email after two weeks responding they were to busy and could not even come out or speak about this until after the 4th of July. I kindly said that fine to work with the owner and yet it's almost 3 weeks after 4th and almost close to two months after this has happened with zero response. After speaking with his salesperson today who merely says that owner is aware of it. I decided it was time to alert others of their business practices which are totally sub par and unacceptable. read more

I can't give high enough praise to Aquatime Pools and Spas, Inc. My gunite pool/spa was damaged by the negligent operation of excavation machinery by a previous contractor who allowed concrete debris to fall into the pool/spa multiple times while excavating the surrounding patio. Steve Pinard came to my property to give me an estimate and immediately noticed the scratches, gouges, and nicks in multiple areas in the gunite surface from the construction debris. (The construction debris had also damaged the interior pool/spa tiles which Aquatime replaced as well). He explained to me the reason such defects need urgent repairs so they don't worsen especially during the frigid winter months. Shortly thereafter, I hired his company and he made sure my project was tackled forthwith due to the circumstances. At every step of the project he was available, and despite supply chain shortages and increased costs due to those shortages, he and his company completed the job and the pool/spa look fantastic. They even returned multiple times to brush the surfaces and add chemicals to help remove the calcium bleed from the new plaster. Again, I can't say enough positive things about Steve Pinard, his company, and their employees and I would recommend their services to anyone wholeheartedly. read more

First, Darby, her staff, and the store products are fantastic. 5 Stars for the store in Hudson NH. Recommend you look elsewhere for pool construction if you expect customer service. Aquatime did a fantastic job installing our pool in 2004. By 2022 the pool plaster needed refurb so we got some quotes and found Aquatime to promise full-service, from open to rebalancing the pool after the refurb. The workmanship was great this year except for some blobs of plaster left behind while the plaster crew was doing their final cleanup. So 2 Stars awarded - since paying in full for the refurb, we can't get Peter to answer how to cleanup the sharp debris 6 feet underwater. Peter doesn't answered phone calls, doesn't schedule work, and only answers emails when he's looking for money. They show up without notice. Aquatime needs a professional planner to backup their skilled workforce. It's just communication, or lack thereof. read more

Aquatime built my inground gunite pool in 2012. It now has so many large cracks in it that the water level is permanently 2 feet below my skimmers. (Yes that's 2 feet.). At this point, the entire shell of the pool has had a catastrophic structural failure and will need to be completely removed. (This translates into about $11k). Aquatime will not take any responsibility for building a faulty pool. AVOID AQUATIME LIKE THE PLAGUE! read more

We had our pool installed by Aquatime and they don't stand by their product. Our pool has a light in it and at least once a year it comes loose and floats. The first excuse was the screw needed to be replaced ridiculous cost ( don't remember) with the labor cost also. The next time, the bulb blew so it needed a whole new set up (400.00?). This time just to screw it back into its housing and labor $110.00. The problem it keeps coming out is because it was never installed right to begin with! I go to them because they are so close but I don't recommend them. The kids working in the store know absolutely nothing when asked questions. They need pool school before hiring. Sorry, I'm a bit upset with them not covering their products. read more

This is an overdue review. Aquatime renovated our pool which meant tearing everything out leaving the hole. They did a beautiful job and added steps, new liner, a salt chlorinator, heater, and new concrete pool deck. Three years later and it is all still beautiful And worth every penny. read more

I would not recommend Aquatime. I have made 20 plus calls and emails to speak with Peter regarding completing my pool and to discuss the bill. He ignored all calls and emails. When we did connect, he was extremely rude and condescending. He refused to go over the bill stating he was too busy to do that with me, but he had no issue taking payment in cash. I just want the last few things completed on my pool as I have already paid in full. Everyone understands COVID delays, but unprofessional, rude behavior is unacceptable and taking money for a job and not completing it is unethical. read more

Peter sent a team out to measure on June 3 indicating the liner would be received by July 10, later than the norm due to coronavirus. Instead of installation, on July 10 we received an email from Peter saying he was sending out a crew to measure. I informed him they'd been out June 3 to do the measure. He apologized citing coronavirus issues, which we completely understood. Peter said they'd be out to measure again on July 13. They no-showed. Called and emailed and a crew came out on July 16. Peter said be installed July 25. That date came and went and our emails, calls were ignored until I reach him by phone today (August 5) when I told the receptionist I'd hold indefinitely. He now, 3 months after being hired, said there's a problem with the stairs, he refused to let me speak and was rude and unprofessional. When I asked him to stop interrupting and give me the courtesy of letting me speak he yelled he'd send me a refund and hung up. Currently, 3 months after being hired, I have no pool and they have my money. I will update this review if I have to fight them for my full refund now. read more

We had a pool installed by Aquatime last year. We opted for a 17x30 Mountain Pond style, which is not a huge pool but it is just the right size for our backyard. One nice thing about having a smaller pool is that it's not very expensive to maintain. This summer we spent a grand total of about $100 on chemicals and we only run the pump for a few hours each day, so the electric bill hasn't been very high either. Our water tests out perfect and looks pristine. We don't spend much time vacuuming, since most of the dirt collects in one spot because of the circulation from the jets. We just vacuum that one spot and we're pretty much done. Aquatime's price was better than their competitors, especially considering they included 2 years of free opening and closing and $500 in "Aquabucks" which is credit at their store. They have their own installation crew which is nice because you don't have to worry about dealing with sub-contractors. There were a few speedbumps along the way (as there are with any construction project), but they made good on them, which is really all any homeowner wants in the end. Thanks Aquatime! read more

I have had a priming issue with my inground pool for years! I threw money at anyone how would take it so I could get the leaking issues under control. NO ONE I hired could actually fix the issue ....until now! They sent two guys over to take a look at my issue on being a diver. No I had a company do a pressure test last year. They could a leak but didn't want or suggest how to fix it. WITHIN A HOUR the guys at Aquatime Pools and Spas fixed the issue. This is the first in years that I have no air AT ALL in the lines! Went here to grab a pool filter. When we arrived, three workers were outside painting fish murals and couldn't bother to say hello. Walked in and asked the guy if they had a specific pool filter - was ignored at first, asked again and he looked like a deer in headlights. He told us he didn't really know much about what they carried and proceeded to go outside to ask one of the girls painting this fish. The girl comes in and we ask her the same question and she was like, "Uhhh there are so many, I just don't know." So yeah, we went somewhere else and we won't be going back. Although the folks who sell the pool chemicals here are helpful and honest, I have personally had a terrible experience with their repair/restoration department and would personally not ever use or recommend this company. Three years ago, I had them come remove all the tiles around my pool, as many were falling off. They said the tile work had been done poorly the first time. There was a three year warranty on their work, which was signed into the contract. This year (so, 2 years and 6 months after they finished the new tile job), I had about 12 tiles fall off. I reached out via phone and email, and got a response to tell me they would honor the contract and fix the tiles. However, after three months of my sending repeated emails and phone calls to follow up and schedule the repair work, nobody ever responded to set up a date and time for the work to be done. It is still not done. No one will return my calls or emails. My personal opinion is that this company is breaching their contractual obligation to fix the pool tile installation that did not last through the three-year warranty. In addition, I greatly dislike the disrespect of not contacting me after the first time. My personal recommendation is that it would be a much better option to use another company. read more

Forced to file suit. Aquatime installed a new liner in our pool last year and we closed the pool shortly after because it wasn't being used. There were no issues at closing. When the crew came to open the pool this year (so we can list our home for sale) there was a massive tear in the liner. It is clearly either a manufacturer warranty issue or an installation error which is also covered under contract. The faulty liner needs to be replaced. I spoke to Peter the 2nd week in July and he told me he had no idea what to do and he would get back to me. He never did. My husband and I left several messages for him and the receptionist ensured us he was receiving the messages. Unfortunately, Peter has chosen to not call us back and resolve the issue. We had to send him a demand letter, which he has not responded to either. He has a little more time but it appears this will go unresolved and we will need to file a law suit against Peter White and Aquatime. It's too bad but we feel we have no choice. We have given him every opportunity to make this right and he has chosen to ignore the situation. Do NOT work with this company! read more

We signed a contract to have an in ground pool installed 2012. This year we are still awaiting completion. Excuses run from, the weather is too wet, too cool, we don't have a big enough crew, the equipment broke down, I can't find your paperwork. Kevin will sell you the pool but that is the last you'll see of him. As for Peter, the owner, he may show up on your property before the excavator shows up but you won't see him again either. But he will send you emails explaining that he expects payment before the cement dries. They also removed too much soil from the property and had to get more shipped in. Brought in too much crushed stone and buried it under the top soil. We have yet to get the deck sealed, salt added and end stones repaired. One more thing, my neighbors are not speaking with us because the cement pump blew cement dust all over their house. Aquatime was asked on several occasions to clean the mess but they never did. The environmental police would have surely shut them down. If you do plan to sign a contract with them I would suggest putting start and end dates on the project. read more

About 9 years ago Aquatime installed a new pool pump and filter, as well as replaced some leaking pvc piping, in my in ground pool. They messed up the piping in such a way that a spin on connector no longer threaded properly. They told me it was stripped and jumped in their truck and drove off. I struggled with what they did to the piping for a year or so and then hired a plumber to fix it. They had installed the filter too close to the multi-valve head so I always had trouble adjusting the the valve, as the handle would scrap against the filter. The pump they installed was always loud. I figured that was just because it was slightly more powerful than the pump I was replacing. But the pump died this year and I had a new one, of the exact same model, installed. I can hardly hear it even when I'm directly over it. At best they should have known that the pump was damaged when they installed it. At worst, they sold me a used pump. So basically, they messed up every single thing they did for me. Aquatime was recommended to me by a neighbor who used them for a complete pool install. He later regretted that when he had tiles cracking off and copping coming loose, and they would not back up their work. I don't know if they have improved since I used them, but my experience was awful and I would definitely look elsewhere for pool work. read more

From the beginning to end, everyone from Aquatime was professional, easy to work with, and extremely knowledgeable. They helped us with planning the new deck geometry, determining which components needed replaced, and helped us meet our budget without sacrificing on quality. We finally were getting our dream pool which instead turned into a nightmare. If you are thinking of contracting with Aquatime, don't do it. You will be sorry. The owner, Peter White, is basically a liar, and will try to avoid you at any cost. Every time we called him with an issue he would not take our calls nor return them. The sales guy Kevin well, sure he was as nice as nice can be when he came to make a sale and to pick up the deposit. He made lots of promises that we could always call him if we had any issues. Well, we had plenty of issues but could never get a hold of him either. Then there is Rocky, the site supervisor. Hard to be a site supervisor if you are never on site. He would be the one to return all the calls..but he could never make a decision without talking to Peter first..need I say more? Aquatime had promised that the pool would be done within 8-12 weeks. Days and days would go by and nobody would show up to work on the pool. Our nightmare pool was finally completed (after many mistakes) in May 2008! Employees were unprofessional. One guy sleeping on the job, one bouncing a ball around the yard while only one was actually working I felt like I was watching city workers. New England Hardscapes was the subcontractor for the decking. Beware of them, too. They rescheduled our decking pour at least 4 times When they finally came out to pour the deck they realized that Aquatime had not poured the gunite to the correct level to match an existing patio and therefore they had to raise the pool wall.. Between all these mistakes it added months to the completion of the pool. Peter, Kevin and Rocky all gave their word that the pool would be completed by October 2007 it wasn't and we had to fill it at our expense in order to close for the season. Peter avoided all phone calls from October 07 through April 08. Once they poured the decking around the pool we realized that the shape of the pool was wrong and the sides of the pool don't match each other. The vinyl joints are sticking out above the decking in certain areas. Sloppy job all around. When they finished plastering these idiots decided to wash out all their equipment in the pond we were building in our back yard. We came home to a pond filled with dirty plaster water. Finally our pool was ready for water (which we had to pay for a second time). Except pool was not holding water it was leaking from the hole for the underwater light. It only took 3 attempts to correct the problem. Just some more water to pay for. Make sure you know what you are getting. Get EVERYTHING in writing. Get model #s for equipment. They changed the type of underwater light and they also tried to switch the type of salt water generator that we ordered. We had an agreement that if we bought the salt water generator they verbally stated they would install the booster pump at no change. Unfortunately we did not get this in writing. With all these issues, mistakes, damages and hassles -all they would do to compensate us was to knock off less than $2000, a Polaris 380 cleaner, installed mosaic tiles and the correct salt water generator (which we paid for anyway). We took the offer just to get this company off our property. If you decide to speak with any of these so called gentleman from Aquatime be prepared to listen to a lot of BS. They will say whatever it takes to get your business, but once they have the money in hand good luck! read more

If I could give a negative five star I would!!!! It should be the way to protect people from being hurt !!!! If you are somehow are thinking of doing business with Aquatime, stop right now and RUN....the faster the better... We hired Aquatime when we were finishing up construction on a brand new house, and we made a HUGE MISTAKE picking this company to build our swimming pool and deliver the spa. That was ten years ago (2005), and we've regretted the decision ever since. Adventures with the pool: 1) We chose a gunite pool. For those unfamiliar with pool construction, gunite is a type of concrete pool that has a custom surface covering and shape. The pool is installed in place with concrete shot from a hose that resembles a gun (hence "gunite") into a framework installed by the pool contractor. When Aquatime first installed the pool, they did not complete the entire gunite installation on their own. They simply walked away saying that it is on us to remove the initial protection layer with a brush. According to Aquatime, we had to keep brushing the walls until the pool walls turned blue (our chosen color). This was a crazy job! The protection is gypsum layer several inches thick, and it took a long time and many hours of labor to complete the removal. It required pouring industrial strength acid into the pool to etch away the gypsum, and hours of physical labor and brushing to bring the pool to the condition, we were promised. Right after so call "completion" of their job I realized that the less they are come, the less harm will be done to the poor quality product they delivered, but, unfortunately, had to deal with them at least during warranty periods. 2) Additional construction issues: The swimming pool was built with the water level uneven in different corners of the pool (recall that each gunite pool is a custom construction project). This uneven water level is highly visible, and the pool deck (also done by Aquatime) has an incline that collects dirt which then falls in the pool. We have to clean the area around the pool twice a week to prevent dirt and leaves from falling in and clogging the skimmer and drains. Keep in mind that once a pool is built, nothing can be done at this point (except for ripping out and rebuilding the pool). 3) Deck sinking and Pool tiles falling started last year and I called in the fall prior to closing the pool asking to repair. Sent photos to Aquatime and talked to "Rocky" who said "that it's not a big deal. We have this tile" and advised to fix it in spring time prior the opening. Big mistake and wrong advice again! With ice and water getting to place w/o tiles other tiles start falling off too! In addition when I called in the Spring I was told to wait till fall because they are too busy to take care of my problems....I don't want to describe the tone "Rocky" was talking, but he was yelling on me like it was my fault that winter was severe and cause a lot of pool damages... I asked Peter White (company owner) to call me. Two weeks later was no call and I called again and again...After ive weeks and three more calls asking for the chance to speak with him later, I gave up.... 4) After the second year, the gas heater Aquatime installed started to fail. When I had the situation diagnosed by a plumber, I was told that the unit isn't right type for the gas pressure in our area. They installed the cheapest possible unit for that pool size - and it's still not working properly! The Spa: The hot tub made by CalSpas ( was recommended by Aquatime as a top of the line) had jets popping out of their places the same year and we were blamed for improper water quality, although I was checking and balancing water weekly per spa manual, everytime spa needs service the guys will cut plastic and remove the foam, telling us that "it's not needed"...Yeah, it's not them paying electric bill!...Last year that spa leaked severely and I was unable to find a company to fix and had to call Aquatime again... After numerous call was able to get technician to fix some leaks, but they start appearing again. Eventually they decided to put it on the side and replace some large distributor (octopus) pipe.... It reduced some leak but not all and spa failed at winter time with outside temperature below 20F and leaked all water out... With 6' of snow surrounding it was impossible to properly winterized and it froze to death.... If you enjoy struggling for the product and service you deserve and want a terrible quality product combined with mean conversation with Aquatime personel, waiting for days for service calls and like being treated as a second hand...,it is the place to go. BEWARE....company name was also changed from White Aquatime Pools a few years ago. I contracted with Aquatime Pools owned and operated by Peter White 8/21/14 and still have unresolved issues. Right from the get go once water was added in the In ground Pool in October 2014, the pool leaked extensively. There were 6 attempts to fix and could not identify the issue. We got to a point in time where weather was getting colder in November and was discussed with me that we had another issue related to the pool plaster which needed to be re-plastered in the spring time along with a laundry list of items to complete. In May, pool was re-plastered and still leaked. I had to hire an independent contractor to find the leak because they kept telling me it was evaporation. They finally got around to sealing the pool deck a few weeks ago which ended up with more issues which will now result in me hiring another contractor to once again fix their mistakes. As far as communication, it's a constant chase. They were paid in full in June with still outstanding items not resolved, deck not sealed, pool cover not installed at that time and was told it was in my best interest to stick to the contract and pay the balance even though the job was not completed. Been the run around since. My next steps is requesting a hearing with the HIC and the Attorney General in Boston. read more
