The service tech was very good, though curiously expressed that he disliked septic systems. It was more funny than it was bad. We have a difficult property on steep land. He worked hard and worked efficiently. We paid $200 for the extra service of running an endoscopic camera with detector to find our D-box and it was very helpful. The backup in the septic was bad enough that we had solids in the line to the drain field: so finding the d-box and opening up allowed us to run a hose down the line and then remove the solids from the D-box and confirmed that the drain field was flowing. Great job. The service tech offered further work that we could definitely use, but we have too many home repairs to add anything that isn't 100% necessary. Otherwise, I would be inclined to hire Chuck's Septic to help us install new risers or other more complex work. For basic pumping and endoscopic tracing, strongly recommended. Tell them ahead of time you might need the camera since they don't always have the equipment charged and ready. Also, they schedule their time based on how long they think the task might take. Back in July, my house was in the final days of escrow, and we needed to have the septic emptied and inspected. All went fine until the gentleman performed the flow test, which failed. The gentleman (I wish I could remember his name) was professional and reran the test to show me that there was a problem, which he described as a "failing system". He then explained that in West Sacramento we may not be able to have the field repaired, and may, worst case scenario, be required to install an above ground septic tank. This would have made the property unsellable. For a very long week, until we could get a plumber out to take a look, we were STRESSED about our house sale falling through. The plumber scoped the system, and found that the distribution box old and required replacement. The repair was $1500, and was completed in a couple hours. Two days later, escrow closed, and the home sold. For the work that was done, I would give 5 stars, all day long. The gentleman was a little late, but he called to tell us he was delayed. He was personable, and cheerfully performed what most people would describe as terrible work and he gave us good service. My three star review is a reflection of the terrible week we spent afterwards. Had he simply reported the findings and recommended we get an estimate for repairs, we would have been much happier customers.

Would not agree to it even after I had documentation. Also, they were not on time, and did not notify any arrival time windows. They had no business cards, and no invoice of the price details. Even their discount price was very high. I contacted another plumbing service, and they immediately came out. Their price for the same work was half of Sewer & Drain Champion. Sewer and Drain Champion has no credibility and is poorly managed. Do not use them! Dillon the Owner promptly responded. He said they have no recollection of my dealings with them. That is not true! One of the technicians I dealt with was Bill. He was cordial, etc. and worked to get the price of the sump pump installation down to $2500. from $2800. An employee named Chase texted me and said they couldn't offer the lower price. The other company I am now hiring can do the exact same work for $1400. So don't tell me it can't be any lower. Also, an employee named Matt was supposed to install the new sump pump and never communicated to me any arrival time. Here's a picture of the company's van parked in front of my residence last week. All 3 things were unclogged and they were on their way well before 12. They also let me know that the toilet was leaking from the bottom and likely needed a new wax seal. They offered to do it but said it would bring my total up to $350! :/ I opted not to do that as it's easy enough to do on my own.. wax seals are pretty cheap to buy and otherwise it's just time and a little lifting. All in all, I was very happy with the service and the price. But this is also same day of the appt so I'll give it a week or 2 to make sure all clogs are really cleared. She let me know they were a newer company and it was nice to hear they were willing to actually do an in person assessment and free estimate when other plumbers I called made it clear they were only willing to replace the disposal which came with a hefty price tag.
