I called to schedule maintenance, but after scheduling the appointment, I realized my upstairs unit wasn't working. In fact, instead of cooling, my bedroom was getting hotter. He came through as scheduled, conducted diagnostic tests on both of my units, and unfortunately gave me the bad news. He presented some options, and both were costly, but what can you do? The invoice broke down everything he had presented. We decided on a way ahead and scheduled the fix for the coming days. On the day of service, he arrived early and got to work. It took him a little over 4 hours and he explained what he was doing along the way. I'm back in service! Today is expected to be a 90-degree day, it's right on time. I already feel the difference and am looking forward to a reduced electric bill (based on some of his explanations). I'll continue to use his services going forward.

To my surprise, he promptly arrived at my residence to inform me of the issue and provide a solution. Due to unforeseen personal obligations, I was unable to be home during the repair process. However, Mr. Michael kindly provided me with a time frame for his arrival and promptly notified me via text message upon completion of the repairs. Upon returning home, I observed that all systems were functioning optimally. The sole minor inconvenience was an oversight on my part regarding the timely submission of payment. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Mr. Michael to anyone seeking professional assistance. I intend to utilize his services for future repairs. I pray and hope this service will saved me some money for 2026

The inspector said the other two were beyond their normal useful life but still worked. What we didn't expect was that we couldn't get the property insured unless we agreed to replace all three heating and cooling systems within a month! We scrambled to find a good HVAC company that could do the job for us. Enter Design Flow Heating and Cooling. Working closely with us, they recommended three cost-effective heat pumps. They then removed and disposed of all the old systems and installed the new ones well within the thirty-day limit. But once we moved in, we discovered the upstairs wasn't being cooled uniformly, and in fact the previous owner had blocked the vents in some places in an attempt to balance it. The pros at Design Flow diagnosed the problems promptly and installed new ducts and returns to draw the hot ceiling air away from areas where the temperature was too high. It made such a difference! I recommend Design Flow Heating & Cooling without reservation!

Rather than just look at a couple of things and then say everything was shot, he continued to troubleshoot for over an hour before coming to that conclusion. I got a couple different quotes from companies I had had work done before, but Design Flow was cheaper, by far. This isn't always a good thing. Some people will say that you get what you pay for. I feel like I got so much more than what I paid for. At a minimum, you only have to look at the pictures to see the quality and care of the work they did. More than the quality, they were quick. The team was just here Friday, but they were in by 7 and out shortly after lunch. Very impressive. Now I have a brand new unit that is much more efficient than my previous unit so I shouldn't need much HVAC work in the future, but if I do, I know that I'm not going to be shopping around. I only have one call to make.

As you can imagine, it was stressful trying to deal with it remotely -- but Ivan from It's Phenomenal Heating and Cooling was truly a lifesaver. He came out quickly, kept us informed every step of the way, and was incredibly detailed in explaining what he found and how he was going to fix it. You could tell he really knew his craft and genuinely cared about helping our family, not just finishing a job. And honestly, his price didn't even make sense -- in the best way. For the level of service, urgency, and professionalism he delivered, it was beyond fair. It's rare these days to find someone this trustworthy and reliable. If you need HVAC help, especially in a stressful situation, call Ivan. He absolutely lives up to the name -- phenomenal!

Walter…read moreresponded to late night Friday request for service and setup time for system checkout Saturday afternoon. Since I was the only one home this weekend I just slept with a fan. In morning I did some online research to see if I could fix it myself sooner. I believe I could have fixed it (I'm pretty handy and have these kinds of tools already) IF I could have gotten my hands on the part I needed for $12 from Home Depot or similar. Amazon delivery was a day or two away. Got a call to say he'd be here in 20 minutes, so I tabled that thought. Walter came and showed me my air filter was dirtier than I expected, so I replaced that on the spot. He then replaced the exact part I was going to (so I was sad I didn't just do it myself, but again it would have been 24-48 hours later to get my hands on it). The compressor should have just kicked in after that but evidently there was a loose electrical connection, which he troubleshot and fixed quickly. Everything fired up and he checked the Freon level, which he said was fine. Cooling is working now as it should be. Walter told me to keep an eye on it and let him know if any other issues come up, as compressor could be damaged from running broken before the fix. Price was reasonable, though not anywhere near what it would have cost for me to fix it myself. But considering it was a Saturday morning (and I started looking for repairs on Friday night) for "emergency service" it was the same as what a competitor was quoting me for service "sometime" on Monday (non-emergency service). So, by this standard, which I suppose most homeowners would use, I judge it to be pretty reasonable. Walter was professional, friendly, and courteous. Only other thing to mention is paying with a credit card is 4% more. So I paid him with a check.

I called at 8am July 4th and left my number. Within minutes, I received a text from Kevin that he was running around but could be to my house by noon. He showed my husband where the switch was located, and also told my husband to fix the filter grate to avoid having hot air being pulled down from the attic. I can't thank CPM enough.
