I think it's only fair to share my complete experience. My project started very well. Erik was knowledgeable, professional, and responsive throughout the sales process. He answered my questions and gave me confidence that any issues would be addressed. Unfortunately, after installation several problems developed. The flat roof around my screen door was installed in a way that prevented the door from opening properly, and an initial repair created a gap that allowed rain and bugs inside. Roofing membrane also remained exposed, permanently damaging my family's nearly 70-year-old American flag. Despite being told the property had been magnetically swept, my gardener later filled a bucket with roofing nails and debris left in my landscaping. Most frustrating of all was the lack of communication as these issues remained unresolved. UPDATE: Once owner Keith Powers became personally involved, everything changed. He personally inspected the project, sent his A-Team to correct the problems, and made sure the doorway was rebuilt properly, sealed correctly, and even returned to adjust the screen door until it fit perfectly. He also came up with a thoughtful solution for my damaged family flag by installing a flagpole and presenting me with a beautiful new American flag, preventing future damage from the roofing membrane. No construction project is perfect. What matters is how a company responds when problems arise. While I wish the issues had been handled sooner, Keith Powers ultimately stood behind his work, corrected every concern at no additional cost, and earned back my confidence. Beaudy came by and spent 90 minutes with me; taking photos, notes, calling back and forth to the "boss" to get my price lower. They agreed to lower the price if I agreed to allow them to place a sign in my yard for "x" days. Fine, I paid a deposit on that's when the fun started. The day of the install, two people came over that morning. They did not know where things went, They had no idea what a rain barrel was. I walked around with them explaining it all, and then had to leave for vacation. There was a significant language barrier; although they were very professional and worked quickly, they had no instructions. While on the road, I received a call from a guy who was at my house, wanting to review the project and making suggestions on changes due to drainage issues he discovered. I had to pull over to talk to him; I had already spent 90 minutes with Beaudy, then another hour with the install crew, now this cocky guy who I had never heard of. Where was Beaudy? Does he even work for this company? I called the office and asked that Mr. cocky pants gets off my. property and send Beaudy over. When the job was finally "done", it was not done, The rain barrel was left uninstalled; deflectors were missing in several places. The owner (?) Bryan came out several times to fix all of the problems. This is the short version, this was so ridiculous I can't believe it really happened. I finally "found" Beaudy, who said he was out with Covid for 3 weeks. That would have been nice to. know; but I still am not convinced he even works there. BIZARROWORLD.

Their price blew every other quote out of the water and they offered a better shingle and a better workmanship guarantee warranty (10yr). Much to my surprise they were at my house 2 days later installing my new roof on the house. They stripped two layers of shingle, replaced several bad decking boards I had. They do 6ft of ice and water shield. Code only requires 3ft. They made sure everything on the roof was wrapped up, secure and water tight. Then they started putting down the shingles. I mean these guys work like a well oiled machine together. This company does not subcontract out the work. The employees work for J & J. My roof on house and garage looks great, they did a good job of cleaning up. I'm super happy with this company and highly recommend them. My lesson in 2023 - lean more towards the locally owned mom and pop shops and not big box names.

I recently had them do work on my roof, porch and install a sump pump…read more They went out of their way to make sure I had the correct type of roof on a low pitch part of my roof. When Mike and Lee saw the condition of the roof boards after removing the shingles they switched to "peel and stick" roll roofing. This caused extra work and expense for them because other materials had already been delivered, but they wanted to make sure my roof was done the right way. The roof looks great! Steve, Dino and his crew did a great job on the porch and the sump pump. The porch looks so much better now that it is level and the cracks are filled in. The water does not all run towards the house and into the crawl space. I really appreciate the extra effort to get the sump pump deeper. The only access was a small opening inside a bedroom closet. I know how much more difficult it made the work because they had to dig in a small confined area and they were digging into wet clay. It is so much nicer and safer with the discharge pipe relocated to the other side of the house instead of running across in front the gate. Now I can simply go into the closet to start the pump. I used to have to go outside and bring a hose in through a window before pumping water out of the crawl space. Everyone was so friendly, polite and professional. This is a great company to deal with and the work was excellent!! I will definitely call them again and will recommend them to everyone I know.

They won't take responsibility even though fortress reps came out and said they installed product totally wrong. If anyone has insurance info on this company please reach out to me asap.
