I would give this zero stars if I could I came here to get a new prescripción for my glasses because my vision has been blurry and I can tell i need new glasses. This experience was unprofessional from the start. He started with showing me a book, and had me tell him if I could see things clearly from the book. Never have I had an optometrist hand me a book to read to check my prescripción. Also, the lights in the room were so dim, I couldn't even see properly lol. Half way through this i'm already questioning his cridentials. He takes a photo of my eyes and tells me they are very healthy. I'm like okay? Thanks? I came here for a New prescription, not a eye health check. I know he already doesn't know what i'm here for. he then asks me to wait outside as another patient comes in? I talk to the front desk lady about insurance while i wait because I'm just awkwardly standing outside the door. Then we go into another room and he apologizes for making me wait. He does the typical eye slit test that i do everytime at other offices, (great, maybe it isn't all that bad after all?) as hes showing me the different Numbers it shuts down on my eyelashes and i can't even read the numbers!! This has never happend to me before at other offices. He does not know how to use the equipment. After this test he asks me to open my eyes and tilt my head back and pulls out a jar of unlabeled yellow liquid with a dropper. I ask , "what ? " and he replies , "for your eye dialation" sir? I am not getting my eyes dialated ! I had no idea what was going on the entire time and I could tell this man did not know what he was doing. Also I should mention i did not see any sanitizing of equipment i was placing my head on, not washing hands , or wearing gloves. As if this is bad enough already, i went to a different eye doctor just to be sure i got the right prescripción, and to no ones surprise, the one he gave me just the day prior was incorrect. If I had gone to get glasses with the prescripción he gave me, i would be wearing the wrong glasses. I never leave reviews ever, but i need people to know not to come here. Worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. Got my prescription wrong for my contacts. Then I had to come back and the doctor spent the majority of time trying to gaslight me telling me that i can't see as well with contacts as I can with glasses so that's why I couldn't read anything. Not that my prescription was incorrect. I have never experienced such rude communication from a doctor. He kept cutting me off as I talked and then I was called upset when I tried to complete a single sentence. Do not go here. read more

I emailed them from their online contact request after hours. I was happy they returned my call at 10 the next morning. I'm an employee at a very large corporation here in the Seattle area and want to use my vision benefits to get a nice set of frames or two for a simple 1.75 reader need. They needed to know my full name and birthday to verify my benefits. Why? As an employee with this company would my benefits be different if I were a different age? With everyone at risk of I.D. theft I'm distrustful these days. I had filled out my information online in advance and they had it on file when I arrived, making things easy. First this place ruined a pair of Valentino sunglasses by putting purple lenses instead of the requested brown in them then I ordered a pair of Ray Ban's and after two weeks waiting I called and they told me there were in so I rushed over on my lunch break and they were not in! The guy promised to have someone call me which they never did. I called them and despite my having ordered them and then billing my insurance they said I have NO order! Call after call and they give me no answers or no solution. Worst experience ever!!! My husband went in for a follow up appointment after re-adjustment cataract surgery. He waited for a very long time. Then Dr. Sukhneet came in and fitted him for contact lenses! My husband kept insisting that he was not there for contact lenses, and the doctor told him to be quiet!! He really took his time to explain to me the advantages of getting daily contact lenses and the importance of getting a glaucoma exam. DO NOT go there if you really care about your health and integrity! Go to a real and decent doctor instead. He acts like a shark, just trying to sell you frame, lenses and contacts and never cares about "YOU" but your money. I am an optician for two decades and had my own optical clinic and optical shop for a while. I had enough information and knowledge about the type of contact lenses I was trying to get but he was obviously misleading me with wrong information and trying to sell his own stock rather than ordering from outside. Since he got aware of my background, he admitted that I was right, not him!!! Finally, since he found I'm not going to spend more money in his office to buy frames/contacts, he even refused to hand me the contacts prescription which I got an extra charge for $148. He also, forgot to add the most important component of the eyeglasses prescription for either my wife or me, which is called ""PD" and that is the distance between the center of your two eyes! So, how you can call him a doctor then??? I'm contacting my attorney. What a disgusting health service! read more

Dr. Virk, Bob, Annika, everyone at AES is great. I can't recommend them enough. Not sure what happened with some of the negative reviews. They are either fake or happened a long time ago because everyone at the office is very courteous, attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. Customer service is top notch, with calls always returned same day and shipments sent out same day as well. We travel over 300 miles just to see Dr. Virk. His Ortho-K has transformed my 5 year old daughter's eyes. He is so kind and patient with her, being so young and trying to wear contacts. Just received my Sclera Lenses...wow it's like Lasik without the risk! Dr. Virk and I worked out my insurance coverage and ended up getting a portion of it covered! It is so refreshing to see that Dr. Virk takes his times with patients . He is not like other practices who want to finish up in 15 mins and are just rushing . Very knowledgeable and his staff his great including Dr. Mangat . My son and a friend's daughter from China had the Orth-K lens at Advance Eyecare Solutions several years ago. The lens worked perfect for both kids so far. Their daytime vision is normal without any glasses. They are so happy about Dr. Virk's service. My friend's daughter came back from China either every year or other year to have a follow up checkup with Dr. Virk, because she trusts Dr. Virk and think he is the best for Orth-K service. My son is Dr. Virk's patient as well now. I also had Orth-K recently. My case seems a little bit complicated than those two kids. Vision is not improved immediately, but I admire Dr. Virk's professional. He exanimates my eye and carefully calculate to find the proper lens for me. He is very patient with me to teach me tips/tricks how to easy put in and take out lens. He carefully choose the lens so I won't feel any uncomfortable when wearing it during sleep. I can feel my day-time vision is getting better and better under this process. I highly recommended Orth-K service to my friends. read more

Advanced Eye care and its staff (including the doctor Sarbjit Virk) are making fool of all their customers by charging them fake supplies fee and taking extra eye exams even when we don't need them. I went to this doctor first time with my wife last year. To my surprise, Dr. Virk asked me to do full eye exam and various testing in a second visit and charged the insurance company for these visits. I kept of asking why do I need these exam but never go a clear answer. Till date they have been sending me bills for some supplies they used for eye exam. (Never heard of a hospital charging patients for tissue paper, and toilet paper.) Advanced eye care will charge for every thing. not only taht they will be very nice in front of you and then send you a bill after 45 days of service. To add to my grievences, 1- They gave wrong prescription for both me and my wife in first visit. 2- they again callled and gave me second prescription which was wrong too. 3- Their test machines are really old and outdated, and they charge for all these test machines even if they don't work. Finally, I never received a report of any of the eye exams. It have been over 60 days that I have been requesting for a complte report of all eye exams they charged VSP insurance for. No luck so far. Avoiud this Eye care. They are thieves and I wonder how they are getting by all the laws and scrutiny for so long. read more

I wasn't going to place a review and just let it go, but I just got my bill from Dr. Virk and I've had it. Here's my story: I went to his office for Rx sunglasses, I have both an eyeplan and discount plan (eyemed) for eyeware. I made sure to pick out frames that would fit within my yearly limits given the discount. Advanced Eyecare Solutions did not want me to use Eyemed and claimed that I couldn't use both at the same time. Of course, that is wrong. They kept me waiting for more than 30 minutes while they sorted it out. After confirming with both my insurance and Eyemed, they applied the discount and I left. A week later, I pick up my glasses, which are the wrong color of lens---I asked for grey, they gave me red---but I just let it be. Fast forward a few months and I just received an explanation of benefits from my insurance. Dr. Virk didn't report the discounts, and now insurance is asking me to pay the difference. Seriously? I have to go through this again? Look the money isn't real the issue here. I specifically chose this place because they are one of the few local (non-national chain) businesses that accepted Eyemed. My parents were small business owners, I know how hard it can be. But this business is either deceitful or incompetent. Either way, I'm never going back. read more

Awesome doctor and staff! I came in for glasses and contact lens exam. They carry silhouette brand glasses from Austria which are lightweight and rimless. Also they carry colored contacts and you can try them on in the office before purchasing. They are kind to let me change glasses frames order a couple days after the initial purchase. Do not go here!!! I went in for a routine eye exam and was given unnecessary tests and told I had to come in for a second appt for something to do with glaucoma, but the doctor mumbled and couldn't really explain why I should have to come back. He is basically trying to bill the insurance company for as much as he possibly can. I was told I had severely dry eyes and also told I should wear contact lenses at night. This was after I told him I absolutely do not want to wear contact lenses. I was ignored and when I looked at his business card later it said this business specialized in dry eyes and these particular kind of contact lenses he was trying to talk me into. He sold me expensive homeopathic eye drops and gave me a complicated routine to combat my severe dry eyes. Luckily I work in a hospital and was able to go to our ophthalmology dept. the next day to get a second opinion. They told me one of the tests he did is for people with glaucoma which I don't have, so that was just to charge the insurance company extra. They found my eye pressure to be normal so there was also no reason for me to go back for a second appt. Yes, I do have dry eyes, but only a mild case which most people my age do have. Like the other reviewer, I didn't get a prescription when I left their office and it took a couple of phone calls before they finally sent it to me. This is about the worst place you could go for your vision so find somewhere else. Oh yeah, while I was waiting for my appt I overheard a staff member that was helping someone pick out glasses being very unhelpful and downright rude. read more

Would you trust a doctor who is dilating your eyes and telling you, you would be able to drive without any sun glasses or protection? I went to Dr. Virk for second opinion when I was unable to get better vision with my new prescription glasses. Soon after my eye exam, he was trying to push me to choose a frame for the new prescription without even asking if I really want to purchase one. Then he asked me to pay for visit before dilating my eyes. When he asked me if I want to go for dilation test, I asked him if I would be able to drive. He said "Yes you would be able to drive without any issue but cannot work in front of computer". He didn't even mention that I have to use sunglasses. I was not carrying sunglasses as I never had my eyes dilated till that date and to be honest I didn't even know about dilation until then. That was the reason I asked doctor about any precaution but I am surprised he didn't know this basic or just careless about it and more concerned about selling frames and lenses. I got my eyes dilated and could hardly open my eyes when I came outside and started driving. Luckily it was only less than a mile drive to my place. Secondly, I told them I have eye exam done a month back and not sure if insurance will cover this visit and asked them to let me know how much I have to pay for this visit. They told me they called insurance and you still have that one eye exam. Later they told me "as your previous doctor may file claim later and it may get rejected so we will charge you for special copay visit ($50 instead of $25)" He then asked for $35 extra on top of it for refraction test. I ended up paying $85 for basic eye exam which is not a big deal but you got to mention this before the exam not after. So just avoid this place to avoid any pain read more
