Was assigned them via my home warranty company for an AC unit leak in my ceiling. Person I spoke to first said it was likely a common pipe issue as that's always what it is in condo buildings like mine. Mind you, this was before anyone came out. Rep came out, did a diagnosis, and was exactly the diagnosis above. Subsequent other reps noticed a leak in my condensation line, rust / wear and tear on my condensation line, and also rust / wear and tear on my drain pan. All accessible for the prior rep and items they missed. Per above, requested a second opinion from Advanced and they declined (after setting the appointment to come out). Pretty sketchy if they stand by their work and diagnosis. Would not recommend them and would be very suspect on them if they are assigned by your insurance company. read more

I have American Home Shield and they sent out this previous company and technician that took one look at my furnace and made up a bunch of garbage including that I need a new furnace which is not ethical and my warranty rejected the work order?! I requested another company to come out and I'm happy I did! Eugene came out and looked at my furnace and took the time to examine it!! I am so happy with Eugene because he's honest and experienced. It took about a week to order the part. He replaced all the wiring and now I have heat again! He's very kind and knowledgeable. Thank you Eugene! I am very happy with people like you around that have integrity! read more

Advanced Cooling and Heating - My older model furnace stopped working but Eugene got it fixed! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Advanced Cooling and Heating was dispatched to us for a second opinion by American Home Shield after a technician with a different company could not diagnose our HVAC problem. They took a logical approach to troubleshooting, with a minor replacement first then a major one. Even though our part was on back order, they kept us informed and scheduled the replacement promptly as soon as it arrived. A smooth transaction compared to others we have had outside this company. They work with integrity. read more

Advanced Cooling and Heating - Replaced HVAC inducer motor - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I recently received service from this company, and I was completely amazed by the knowledge of the technician. He wasted no time, and from the time he arrived he was done within less than 45 mins. He knew exactly what was wrong when I described that my furnace had stopped working. He also took the time to explain some questions I had before he left. The most amazing part is the company's repair pricing. They are honest, and they do not overcharge. I recommend this company to anyone having a problem with their heating or cooling system. I'm in the Los Angeles area, and my service was today, 01/13/26. Shaleen read more

This company was prompt in calling me back and came within the 2 hour window that was given. Eugene was wonderful and efficient. He recognized and solved the problem with our ac unit within minutes, and replaced all of the parts necessary. It was a very good experience and I will definitely use them next time when needed. I was referred to them through American Home Shield. (not always a good experience. :-/) read more

Our central heating would shut off after about 5-10 minutes of use just before the holidays, and right when temps were getting colder. At first, we called another company thinking it would be a quick, and easy fix; however, they said all of the ductwork needs to be replaced and quoted us thousands of dollars. We decided to get a second opinion and remembered that this would be covered through our American Home Shield home warranty coverage. We contacted AHS, and asked which of their partner vendors were available for service requests ASAP. Between the two companies they named, I specifically chose Advanced Cooling and Heating because of the better Yelp reviews. (Tip: call AHS directly, to request Advanced Cooling and Heating for your service request.) I'm so glad I did! Eugene arrived a few minutes early, and was polite and professional. He took time to listen to the issue, and within 15-20 minutes, it was resolved. It's been about a month since our service appointment and we haven't experienced the issue. Needless to say, we're grateful! read more

Used them for an air conditioning repair. Fast, reliable, respectful of our space, and honest. The entire experience was easy.

This contractor was sent by American Home Shield. In a nutshell, they submitted a substantial claim to replace the coil on my AC unit, which they stated was corroded due to improper drainage, and thus leaking refrigerant. Said I needed a new coil. On the basis of that report, however, AHS declined coverage stating "not normal wear and tear". Enter a second opinion at my own cost - which determined the 'Advanced' diagnosis to be highly dubious at best. Nobody had even opened the coil to inspect it, so there is no way they could state that it was corroded. The stickers were even still in place. The nitrogen they put into the system to test it was still there, and the system actually remained pressurized. If there is a leak, it is likely a small one... certainly not one requiring coil replacement. When I tried following up with the 'Advanced' guy for an explanation, he never returned my calls or text. Sticking to the facts rather than speculate on intentions, then, I will simply end this review here, and let you draw your own conclusions from this and other reviews. I think my opinion is clear enough. read more

The guy came out, he was a bit heavy and had to go in the attic. He was saying what a difficult job it would be. The same issue was repaired by another company 2 years ago and there was no issue. This guy was saying how I needed additional parts, and he would need to have it approved. The other company didn't need parts to clear a clogged ac drain line. Additionally, this company never responded to my follow up calls. I suggest, if you don't want to do the job, just be honest and communicate with the customer. Fortunately the company that fixed it before was great and are still with American Home Shield, so although I have had water leaking out of my ceiling an additional week because of this company, the company that got the job done before will take care of it next week. read more

Our home warranty, American Home Shield (AHS) sent this company out for a "second opinion" after three different AHS vendors tried to keep us from getting our insurance coverage on this repair because it was a larger job and they didn't want to do it. We convinced AHS to send a "second opinion" vendor and were fortunate that Advanced Cooling and Heating was assigned to us. Roman came, looked at the issue and said he'd write it up for AHS to approve. He got the warranty work approved. Today, Roman came with Eugene, the owner of Advanced Cooling and Heating, and the two of them did the job beautifully in an hour. They even leveled our A/C pump, which they weren't even paid to do! Roman and Eugene are honest and professional. We highly recommend this company! Thank you, Roman and Eugene! read more

Same story as everyone else who had this dog water company sent out via AHS. Our AC has been emitting a pretty foul oder for about a month now. The guy brushed us off and told us that it required out of pocket duct work without even looking at the AC unit. Whether or not it's the case, he didn't even do his due diligence to verify that the AC unit itself wasn't the issue. read more

This was through home warranty. I got scheduled pretty quickly but due to some miscommunication, the technician could not get inside the gate and left. I called back and requested they accommodate me the same day. I have tenants who really needed the AC working. The person I spoke to got me scheduled same day and all I know is that the AC is working! So truly appreciate that they were willing to come back the same day when it was my fault that they did not get in there that first time. My warranty experience has been varied, so I like to acknowledge the good service when I get it. read more

Roman (Kushnir) came out as a "second opinion" from AHS after the first company gave two bogus reasons for why my HVAC could not be fixed, and we could not be happier! NOT only did he come and assess the situation (the information was FLAT WRONG), but he actually FIXED the issue for us! We were told we needed a new circuit board and it would cost $1200+, but turns out the first company just didn't know what they were doing. In less than 43 minutes, he evaluated everything (including listening to a long explanation of what happened the firs time around), but he FIXED our issue and we now have heat again! We are SO glad that we requested a second opinion and got Roman to come out! Also wanted to mention that Roman called us to schedule our appointment and he was very nice and listened patiently to what was wrong with our unit (something I repeated today, and he was very patient and listened carefully again). He was kind on the phone and reassured me he would come out and check everything carefully to make sure that if the first opinion was wrong (they said we had a missing part, which was not true), that he would make sure to explain that the part was not supposed to be there (they said there was a "missing" fuse when the box is non-fusible). I was really stressed and worried, but he made me feel better and I felt like I was in good hands even before he came and literally solved the problem. Thank you so much! If i EVER have any HVAC needs, I will definitely call you guys again! read more

Can't praise them enough. They answer the phone personally and respond quickly. Eugene is thorough and professional. He was the second contractor sent out by AHS. Figured out what we needed, and came the day after Christmas to install the part. In and out in 30 minutes. Nice to have heat again! read more

Simply the best! After being denied by a different company AHS sent Advanced. What nice professional company. They knew right away what the problem was. They were in and out in no time. AMAZING!!! read more

American Home Shield sent us Advanced Cooling and Heating this morning. Our AC went out on a Friday during the hottest day of the year thus far. After having AHS call several contractors ( we couldn't find anyone to come out for 4-5 days ) they contacted Advanced on our behalf and he was our here first thing (8:45 am ) the next morning which was a Sunday! He also called us up on Saturday afternoon within minutes of getting the request from AHS. Summer is the busiest time of year for these businesses, I am so grateful they came out when they did. He was nice, professional and located the problem within minutes.. it was a fried wire. So, $15 to replace the part and the system was cooling our house again in no time! No up-sells or other issues detected. This company is professional, courteous and honest in my opinion and believe me, owning 3 homes in 10 years puts me in the position of recognizing shady practices when I see them. Thanks Advanced Cooling and Heating! We have a few more weeks of this 100 degree weather and thanks to you we will be cool and comfy in our house! If I ever have an issue again I will definitely use this company. read more

I don't want to hear another negative review on this company. They are honest and reliable. I have used them for 20 years and recently saved my butt from a horrible experience with Global HVAC. Ask for them by name if you have AHS. read more

My Home Warranty Company, American Home Shield referred me to a different company and when I read the reviews I called them and asked for a different company. They gave me a list of two other companies and both of them had comparable YELP reviews but I chose Advanced Cooling and Heating from Northridge. Advanced Cooling and Heating called me first thing this morning as they were aware my furnace/heating system was not working and it was cold (by Southern California standards). They told me that someone could be out today between 11 am and 1 pm. i agreed and at 11:15 am, Eugene from Advanced Cooling and Heating was here. He took his shoes off so he would not get my carpet dirty and within 15 minutes fixed the problem and informed me that the malfunctioning part was covered by my insurance. Eugene was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, patient with my questions, and very nice. Eugene is a true asset to his company and spoke highly about his company and about American Home Shield. Problem solved. Thank you SO MUCH American Home Shield, Advanced Cooling and Heating and Eugene! Lloyd B. read more

I just wanted to write an update that AHS assigned a new company to my claim for a second opinion, and the new technician found that I had a bunch of pipes and tubes touching each other, and they were vibrating against each other causing the noise. The new company, NOT advanced heating and cooling, was able to solve my problem with about 45 minutes of readjusting some pipes. read more

AHS sent these jokers out. Spent about 5 minutes at my house only to realize the unit was only 3 years old (they put 2 on their claim) so knowing it was under warranty they said it was a broken motor. AHS said they wont pay for part (cuz its under warranty) NOR labor. Just had a reputable HVAC company come out to take a look. After spending about an hour it was determined it was that the temperature rise needed adjusting, had NOTHING to do with a broken part. So from my understanding this company is just in cahoots with AHS to not do any actual work/investigation but to cash in that service fee which was for a wrong diagnosis that amounted to getting them and AHS out of having to do any work. Scammers. Don't trust them. read more

American Home Shield sent this company when my AC broke and the first company said they wouldn't be able to come out for over a week. I was able to get a hold of Advanced Cooling and Heating on Thursday evening and they said I should call them on Friday to see if they can squeeze me in earlier than the Monday appointment they assigned me. I called a few times on Friday and each time they said they were still booked but to call back in a few hours. They ended up not being able to come out until Monday, but the fact they seemed so open to coming earlier if possible was nice. The technician arrived promptly and fixed the problem (bad starter) and within 15 minutes he was in and out of my house and I had a working AC. read more

If you're a woman, don't bother. Roman just came to our condo to look at an ongoing A/C problem. He asked us what's wrong and I explained the problem of our unit leaking, since I'm the one who has been home and dealing with this off and on for the last 2 months. My husband went to get ready for work and then Roman asks me to get him and said that he would explain what is wrong to my husband. I haven't experienced such blatant sexism in a long time so I was shocked to say that least. My husband came in and listened and Roman did not glance my direction one time. Neither of us know anything about A/C's so my husband doesn't have any special knowledge that I don't have and had to ask several times for him to explain what is wrong so we can tell the HOA. If they can't explain to a human being what is wrong, then maybe they should time travel to 1950. Will not be using again. read more

American Home Shield sent this company and it was not good. They barely looked at the unit and they just wanted money from American Home Shield for just coming out. I had a leak in the AC and they said everything was fine. I had to hire someone else outside of home warranty. I canceled AHS immediately. They continue to bring companies with terrible yelp reviews. It's no wonder they have to rely on another company like AHS to bring them business. I would stay away. I would give them 1 star but feel terrible doing it so I gave 2 star out of pity. I'm sorry I have to write this review but I cannot recommend them. read more

Just want to give a shout out to this company! Previously, we had AHS called another company and they sent a technician who tried to scam us out of $400 to fix our AC that is under warranty. This company sent an upstanding man who came and fixed our unit in less then 20 minutes, was upfront, honest, and polite. What a difference a good company can make. We will definitely use this company again!! read more

Like others, we were sent these guys via American Home Shield when we had a covered issue with our a/c system. They were quick to schedule, arrived on time, knew their business and diagnosed the issue right away and had the problem fixed in less than an hour. What's not to like? read more

THIS COMPANY IS JUST AWFUL !!!!! This people where sent to check on my AC issue by American Home Shield. I have a collapsed air return and they told my home insurance company that it was collapsed due to someone sitting or standing on the duct. THEY JUST FLAT OUT LIED ! you can clearly see that the duct is completely enclosed, on one side by 2x4s on the other side by the water heater, on the top by 2 pipes and on the 2 other sides by the big tall heating unit itself. the guy had a hard time sticking his hand in the duct to feel the damage because it is sooo unaccessible. besides it is in the basement where no one goes to but myself. I am in the process of fighting this issue. I called them 2 times to request them to send the pictures to AHS but they keep on telling me they don't want to because it won't matter...WHO ARE THEY TO JUDGE THAT?.... the AHS company has already requested the 2 times and me 2 times. I told this company i have a 3 and a 5 year old who's bedroom has been up to 90 degrees and that i don't want to have 2 hospitalized toddlers due to heat stroke due to sleeping in a scorching hot room. but of course they don't care those are not their kids....I am getting closer to make a phone call to the BBB and other places to complain about their cynical lies. I also wished this guys would speak English and not Russian while on the phone so i could hear what they where saying...where they hiding something from me? something i shouldn't know? ....very fishy....then the lies....NOT GOOD. ah! and when i google them it shows up there is already a standing issue with the BBB..... read more

They are used by American Home Shield basically just to quickly look at your system and deny anything can or should be done that the company would cover. Total rip off. Stay away. read more

We have a dual HVAC system. One of the air conditioners is very old. I was sent this company by American Home Shield. This is the second time they have been to our home in several years to deal with the older A/C. Gene was the technician, and he was excellent. He diagnosed and fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes! Had to do with a wire that burnt out that connected to the compressor. I am surprised to see the negative reviews here. It was not my experience, and I would use this company again in a heart-beat! P.S. I never write reviews on yelp, but just wanted to put in a good word for the company, since I have had such a great experience with them. Thank you Advanced Cooling and Heating! read more

AWESOME HVAC COMPANY~ AHS set me up with this local company when my entire central air conditioning system stopped working (no A/C, no heat). They called me right away to set up an appointment, they showed up that *same day*. I worked with "Roman" who was a very sharp technician. He fixed the A/C issue in 10 minutes. He had to come back the next day with a part to fix the gas heater. He came back as promised 11am the next day and fixed it in 10 minutes. ~~~And the BEST PART!~~ This company saved me from having to pay a double service fee since my heater is gas and would have normally required a separate service appointment through AHS. So "thank you" to Advanced Heating and Cooling, Eugene and Roman for saving me some cash. You are wonderful HVAC technicians. I am a homeowner in Beverly Hills and honestly I dislike most service companies. These guys are positively above average and highly recommend! read more
