We recently purchased an American Standard unit. It was defective. Service calls from zephyr were outstanding in dealing with refrigerant replacement, fan motor replacement, and coil replacement, which was leaking. All the techs, Ernie and Moris, provided outstanding service besides being friendly and patient in sharing all their explanations. Owner Kevin also came by at the beginning of all these issues. Dan, who handles customer service, is simply the best. So responsive and quick in setting up service calls. This company answered all my service needs in a timely manner. Stay as far away from this company as possible. One of their tech came out to diagnose the problem I was having with my AC. He told me I need a new AC due to the fact it was 20 years old. He crack one of the plastic seal under my bathroom sink and stated that happen before he ever stated working. He charge me 125.00 for the diagnose, but never provided the paper work in regards to the issue of my AC. I made numerous call to the company but they never responded. read more

We called this company in order to determine an issue with our heating system. A service person came and gave us an estimate. He was probably in the house for no more than 5 minutes to look at our heater and give us an estimate. We received a $145 service charge which seems excessive considering nothing was done. Our heating furnace was blowing cold air and we decided to call them as our home warranty service provider was taking longer. Reviewing yelp the high ratings made be believe they would deliver. Spoke to Dan, service coordinator about getting somebody out and he was prompt. The tech was great too, it was clear there was a 145 fee to diagnose. The tech arrived and reviewed the system and suggested a gas valve and board replacement would cost 1500.00. Speaking to Dan the next day the feedback was that costs are high to replace 2 pieces and the best they can do is 1300. Our home warranty company A/C tech arrived today and the first thing he said was the components are ok but looks like somebody shut-off the gas. He opened the gas valve and lord be hold we have heat. The diagnosis was botched and boy am I depressed to even pay for the invalid diagnosis. read more

When Kevin arrived, he ran diagnostics, examined the unit, and suggested we try something more conservative first. He replaced the anti-freeze and cleaned and serviced the unit. It began working at 100% and is still going strong. Zephyr is not out to make money; they truly care about their customers. Kevin saved us, at least, $1,500! It was 112° and our A/C gave up! Kevin from Zephyr AC and heating came right away we didn't have to wait, and we really appreciated that he came with a mass considering we just lost a loved to to COVID19. We decided to purchase two split, four ton A/C units after receiving multiple bids. The Zephyr installation crew was on-time, courteous, & cleaned up after each day's worth of work. Several months ago we had our A/C serviced by Mediterranean Heating and Air. They came out for a regular routine service and recommended that we have the Contactor changed. We did it and that's when everything went down hill. They messed up our unit. They were here for 3 starlight days. It wasn't until I was fed up with them that I reached out to Zephyr A/C and Heating. I have an ancient Rheem gas furnace, that the guy Jessie who came to light the pilot for me hadn't dealt with before. Turns out, the furnace is probably older than he is. He snapped a shot and sent it back to the office. After discussion, Dan called me and said even his most experienced guy wasn't sure he could confidently do the job. Thanksgiving morning woke up to no heat in the house. Called Kevin at Zephyr and he was willing to send help ASAP. Tech (Tony) was on time, fix the issued by changing out a blown transformer. Tony was very personable, taking time to explain exactly what had failed and why it failed. Before leaving Tony performed a complete safety inspections to make sure everything was working correctly.
