We were new homeowners and had only moved in for less than a month when our AC unit went out. It…read morewas an ancient unit that certainly needed replacement, but when we called The Right Choice, they arrived with the pushiest, sleaziest salesman you could imagine. He immediately insisted (more like demanded) that we needed new ducts as well as a new system. When I told him that we wanted a unit with a higher SEER rating for energy efficiency and lower electric bills, he dismissed my suggestion as if I was stupid for even asking about it. My guess is that they have some sort of deal with Goodman, because that is the brand that they forced on us. What was the grand total you ask? Over $20,000. And that was 8 years ago! Not only did they NOT replace all of the ducts (like they said they would) their installation was the most Mickey Mouse-looking trash I have ever seen. They must have put at least 5 pounds of mastic tape around the unit to try and seal it up and it still leaked cold air after a week of use. These are scam artists masquerading as professionals. Even after that ordeal was over, they would call us constantly, year after year, telling us we needed to pay for a tech to come out and service our system. Besides hosing off our compressor unit with our own garden hose, the only thing their tech ever did was aggressively try to sell us on more services. They never once opened up the unit to clean the coils. They never once topped off the coolant. They never even cleaned out the condensate pipe. 8 years later and I am paying the price with outrageous cooling bills, a leaky unit that is more mastic than air conditioner, and a clogged condensate line that I had to clean out myself (it took about 5 minutes once I had the right tool). Do not let these people into your home. There is a reason that you see so many one-star reviews among the four and five-star ones. Do not disregard those reviews (they are real people). This company will take advantage of anybody who is not particularly knowledgeable about HVAC. They are pushy and rude; they will try to sell you products and services that you do not need. They will continue to harass you with phone calls for years afterwards. Stay away. Stay far, far away.

They inquired about what the issue was, and I appreciated their willingness to hear the journey I had the previous week with the other service provider and the issues the system had. Zach came out the next day and was so informative and honest. He looked at my HVAC unit and we decided it'd be best to replace it. Within 30 minutes of him arriving, I had a very reasonable quote for a high-quality unit. I have become so wary of home service providers trying to rip me off. Zach and Express A/C did not rip me off at all, and instead gave me a price that hit the mark of what I thought was a reasonable price, if not under - especially given the prices of things right now. It is always so refreshing to come across a service provider like Express A/C that has integrity, high-quality service/experience, and reasonable pricing. My AC unit is not working few days ago and heat is starting here in Santa Clarita. At first I…read morecalled my previous HVAC repair person who fixed my AC unit last year. This time it didn't work since it will require compressor replacement which is few thousand dollars as he mentioned and he works alone so, my best option is to find a second opinion with another HVAC repair expert. I called Real Cozy Air and have a chat with Chris. I found this company on Yelp where all reviews are 5-Star, nothing else. Unbelievable right? 70+ reviews and just 5-star is totally awesome, I told myself - so why not try this company and have him check my AC unit. Two repair person name John and Diego came Tuesday after scheduling in the next day. They tested the condenser outdoor and fan coil at the attic area. These two guys come up with similar recommendation to replace the motor or replace the entire split-system unit since it's a 20 year old AC. Called Chris that day and get the quote done right away. I don't think twice with my decision to go ahead replacing the unit since Chris and his team give me several options ahead and I've done my research already. I think Chris told me they require at least 3-days to order the AC Unit expedited and installed them Friday the same day. Friday came very fast and Chris Team is at my door by 8am yesterday. It's a five person team but I only remember the first three Ernesto, Eric and Benito since the other two person came little late and didn't ask their name. Construction started and have all the safety precautions provided on floor including their shoes be clean putting some protection in it. I like this idea. I worked at home most of the time doing my electrical design engineering and I have several project deadlines to submit to my Client this day, so I haven't even check every detail of their construction. It's already mid-afternoon when I just took a break and check the outdoor condenser installed. Unfortunately, it didn't pass my fist check and send the message to Chris that the outdoor condenser doesn't looks good since it has several scratches on the side. My first thought is: this is a 2nd hand AC unit, however, Chris explain to me that his team had a hard time getting the equipment at the backyard since the door opening is too narrow. To make the story short, Chris called a Crane company and replace the outdoor condenser with the brand new condenser unit without a single scratch - the same day and have it delivered and installed perfectly. The outdoor condenser installed nicely clean. I have a very nice sleep last night, wake up this morning and continue working right now with my other 20 projects. The very good thing about this Real Cozy Air company is their professionalism. These team of young guys knows their boundaries, they can control their feelings if something bad happen and not blaming each other for what happen. They just fixed the problem and move forward. This is what I loved with this Team. I would recommend them to my family and friends and to all my colleague in the industry. I worked with several contractors but this team are real good.
