I couldn't do a no star review or even a negative, her are the facts, AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs. I called first to ask what it costs to install a radio, around $200 bucks cause I had hardware. Drop off car, it could be a little more, okay fine. Pick it up, $498, I was like for what extra, I got the whole dog and pony show, fine I paid. My car initially had the stock stereo with aftermarket speakers, in sounded good, I just wanted an upgraded deck. I bought the stereo from a reputable dealer, used my vin and got all the parts. I get in my car drive away and I kid you not, I've heard factory 80's vehicles stereos sound better. It is a $400 deck, it's sounds like dog shit. I immediately come back and tell him it sounds off and even the subwoofers were not working, he agreed and told me to bring it back cause it's the end of the day. Mind you, I live 35 minutes away. I come back, leave car he calls back and says it's the wrong part, I asked 3 times what part, I got 3 different things. Eventually he lands on the harness, I supplied wrong harness, shouldn't you know that upon install and QC after you finish your job? Shouldn't that have been caught before they installed, and why would you initially deliver the car undone? He told me he'd get the part and make it right, that was aug, it's now the 29th. Oh, along with my subwoofers not working, the satellite radio not working either and crooked deck install. Again, 3 and a half weeks later, today, I pick up my car and he wants to charge me over $100 more, for a job they didn't complete and do right the first time, still blaming me for the wrong part, seriously i thought they were the professionals. By the way, I called customer service on the radio and showed them my parts via pics and invoice#, they said those are the right parts. The company I ordered the stero from was apologetic of the inconvenience, not of their own but what I was going through and gave me a free xm tuner for my deck, that's how you do business, not the way Advanced Automotive services is doing right now. So here is me waiting for the cops they called, to explain why I refuse to pay anymore money for this terrible business, fraudulent service. DO NOT GO HERE! I went there for an oil change in a 2017 Mercedes van. When I dropped it off, they told me it would be about $200. When I picked up, I had to pay $300. The reason; the van took 13.5 quarts of oil. The last oil change from another shop was $168. read more

WOMEN DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. This guy is a psycho. Brought my car in Dec. Because the Oil place said it had heavy oil leaks/ & coolant leaks noted on paper. (I brought the paper so he could see) I took it to this AA place because I was told he was honest. Well 4 months later I am do for an oil change and my car is running the same as it did ( rough idle) when I brought it in. I just got it and told him please look at everything and fix whatever is wrong with it. I even said or any gaskets that need to be replaced. He told me would take 3 days got it back in 1 1/2 which I thought; "Wow these guys are fast." They fixed all the coolant leaks and added a tire bearing because of the rough idle. I took it back to tell him I still have an oil leak and I could smell oil burning after I got it back. I almost blew the motor in my dream car when the idle got so bad it was vibrating. Took it to my friend who is a mechanic and he said it wasn't a tire. It is 2nd cylinder misfire. He actually put it on the diagnostic and then wrote down codes. When I came in to show him everything he said there was no oil leak. I said think there was it was just dripping on the exhaust and burning. At that point he said you need to leave. I was in absolute SHOCK because I never raised my voice or said any vulgar language, (just stating facts) I just simply made a point. He went ballistic when I asked for the owners information. I thought he was just a manager or estimator. He proceeds to scream at me get out , get out, I kept asking him ...but what do I do? How can this be resolved? He then proceeded to work himself up to violence saying he was going to call the cops, I said "what for?" there was no negotiating, there was no let's see what we can do and see if it is something I missed, he never brought his mechanic from the back to say, yes I did the tire bearings and this is what I saw, I can show you. NOTHING EVEN CLOSE. I made the mistaken of saying I don't have a husband to check it. And he then proceeded chest bump me twice out of the shop. I just couldn't believe an owner would respond like that. He had me bent backwards with his chest on my chest, still in shock as I tried to stand erect to get him from braking my back, he then said, "You seen it she pushed me first." And then hit (pushed not sure) me so hard I went flying back on my shoulders and hurt my neck and back left shoulder. I spent $2000 and got a so call tire fixed instead of putting the car on the diagnostic machine, like my friend did? like a professional should have so they totally missed it. 4 months later I still have an oil leak and a rough idle because that is how BMW's run when they need a tune up. Oil is fowling one of the spark plugs. But I guess he wanted me to have to come back so he could charge me another $2000 What a douche bag. And Shelton Police are not much better they wouldn't even have him review the tape when I asked on the spot! There is NO JUSTICE FOR WOMAN TO ADVOCATE FOR THEMSELVES WITHOUT BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AND OR MET WITH VIOLENCE. read more

There was a misunderstanding about what was repaired on my vehicle, and when I took it back to them recently, I was very pleased with their eagerness to make things right. We have used this company for years, that was previously owned/managed by a friendly married couple that was honest and competively-priced, but they have recently retired. BE ADVISED THAT THE CURRENT MANAGEMENT IS NOT INTERESTED IN PROVIDING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! When we recently took our van in for them to repair the clutch (to the tune of over $1500), they returned it with a sloppy shift mechanism, that wasn't there when we took it in. I returned the van two more times for them to fix this problem, and I was lied to and rudely told it was working fine ("there's nothing more we can do"). So, my advice to you is to think twice before taking your vehicle(s) to this company, since they aren't at all concerned with getting your repeat business! read more

Broke down just across from their shop, the whole crew came over and push my vehicle to their shop. They replaced the starter that afternoon. This company went above and beyond normal service. They saw a person in need not just a paying customer! I will continue to do my automotive repair business with Advanced Automotive and will recommend them to anyone. read more

Dont even know where to begin . had my van here for transmission problems. I was told in order to diagnose it I had to order an air intake replace the starter rewire the vehical because they were 100% certain it was NOT the transmission . so they did the work supposivly. And now they tell me its the transmission after I already told it was the transmission 3000 dollars ago. Now today I come with a tow truck to take my vehicle to a place where they are actually mechanics and not middle aged who pretend to know what a wrench is and im sitting here for over an hour because someone doesnt know how to tell the difference between 60 and 90 minutes for lunch. I demanded an itemized receipt of work that was done. And its wrong and full of billed work that I never authorized. Im having the other mechanic verify and document what they claim to have done and what they wasted money on. For example why would they need too charge me for an oil change and recharge my air conditioner for transmission work!!! Allen is nothing but a crook! He loves yelling at women and using fowl language. He is rude, threatens to haul away your vehical and hides when customers arrive because he's not man enough to talk face to face. im a single mom whos working paycheck to paycheck trying to run a plumbing company and Allen did nothing but Rob me. read more

Feeling gipped. Just had to have my starter replaced after only two years. Turns out they put in a refurbished part and charged me $70 more 2 years ago than a new one cost me today. My recommendation is to avoid this place like the plague. Too bad you can't do minus stars. Take stars away! read more

Felt good when I first came in. Gary is great customer service. I did research on my car before bringing it in. I advised them to check my TCM, TCM sensors and the solenoids. They took my car back and began work.. They came back to tell me there is probably transmission issues and would need to change out the fluid and a filter. No mention of TCM OR SOLENOIDS. $300 later.. I take the car home and on the drive back have the same issue. The next morning I brought the car in again.. I asked them to check the TCM AND SOLENOIDS again.. They run a pressure test for another $100.. They test drive the car and can't replicate the issue I was having. So I assume the issue is fixed. The best advice they had for me was drive it until you run into the issue again. We ended up stopping at another mechanic in Olympia - Trusted Choice Auto Care. They ran a diagnostic check and checked specs for our car. The result.. TCM miscommunication. I ended up buying the TCM online and replacing it myself.. My car is fixed. Not sure why Gary, Allen and the boys couldn't figure out what I told them to fix. Really irritated and annoyed with advanced auto, especially after how strongly Gary seemed to bash the automotive industry for cheating the consumer out of their money. If you ask me.. It seems like a facade he wears. Other than not listening to what I asked them to check and charging me for work that didn't necessarily need to be done. They seemed like they knew the mechanics of older cars with no computers in them. read more

Gary and the whole staff at Advanced have been great to us. They have worked on our family's car, as well as our daughter's car. A good example is we took our daughters car in because we were sure it needed the oil pan gasket replaced. They found it was an O-ring, which was less than 1/2 the quoted price. Worst place ever! I took my car into this place 2 years ago to have my water pumps changed and have had problems with it ever since. They screwed up so many things on my car that it still doesn't function right. First, he charged $2000 for water pumps, scam if I ever did see one. Second, he put broken parts back onto my car; water cap (which he cracked then glued back on), serpentine belt (severely cracked and put on CROOKED which made this horrible squealing noise and two weeks later shut down my car completely). When I went back to complain about the noise he told me it was the AC and unplugged it, now my AC AND heat don't work. After going back to him for many problems just in the first couple weeks of getting it back, he told me if I wanted to come back again to fix the new problems with my car (that he created) I would have to pay him more! This was the owner, Gary, he is a joke and doesn't know what he is doing. For the love of God, if you value your car and money, PLEASE DO NOT take your car here. read more
