I thought I had an exhaust rattling problem. They discovered it was not and it was in fact my sway bar links. They quoted me a competitive price for the part. Labor was a bit more than I'm used to, but not by much at all. Definitely worth it. They did it all in about 5 hours. The clunking noises went away. These guys are class acts and true professionals. My dad used to be a mechanic and has taught me some skills. I had a roaring noise that at some point had caused a backfire. I took it to one mechanic who couldn't figure it out. Both my dad and I had investigated the problem and couldn't figure it out, though our initial thought, reinforced by the guy who checked me in, was a timing belt. These guys could have probably taken me for a ride pretty easily with this issue...but instead, they noticed the guys at the dealership who do my oil changes had left off three of the screws holding down my air breather...$50 later something that was causing me major driving problems was solved. They also changed my oil and transmission fluid at a very reasonable price. This place is what service needs to be in this country. My dad dropped off his car and he didn't have a ride home. So, he's sitting there's just waiting and one of the people there, Dave, asked him if he had a ride. My dad said, "no, im just going to wait." Dave goes, "you don't need to do that I'll get you a loaner car." The loaner car they had did not start. Dave goes, "you know what, take my personal car." Can you believe it?! So, he gave him the keys to his own car and he drove back home. So, about two and and a half hours later the all wheel brake job was done and he drove Dave's car back to the shop. I brought my 2003 Toyota Solara with 160,000 miles in to the shop with a rattle coming from the left rear. After the tech looked, they found numerous issues. Although you hate to hear that it is more extensive than you thought, I knew with that many miles on her that it was time for some major work. They fixed her and the car rides so smooth, I had become so used to the rough ride that I forgot what a great little car I had. I would recommend Advanced Automotive, you can always tell how good a shop is by how busy they are and although you may have to wait a few days for a booking, it is well worth it. read more

Like previous reviewers, I have no idea when it comes to car repairs. Ended up having a leak in my radiator, and after a frustrating night trying to make it home I went online to find someone that I could take my car in the morning. After reading all the positive things to say, I figured I'd give them a shot. I myself also feel like I'm always getting taking for a ride when my car is in the shop so it's never fun when I have to bring my car in. And with the shop down the street from our house with 2 stars, I figured giving them a shot was my best bet. They got me in right away, and were nothing but honest. I was told the things that needed to be fixed to get my car back to running safe, and some suggestions on future fixes once it was within my budget. The pricing is very fair, and I didn't feel like like I was getting worked over. I got a synthetic oil change for a little over $50, when the big brand stores are $20 more. Dave behind the desk will make you want to come back. Great people, that do great work. I hope that I don't need any repairs in the near future, but if I do I'll definately be taking my car back there. If you give them a heads up they even have a loaner car for you to take to eliminate the hassel of being without your car for the day. read more

I brought my car here on the recommendation of a friend. I've been going back for several years since for pretty much all repairs and maintenance and will continue to recommend Advanced Automotive to others. My son had a car problem when he was out of state at school and took it to a local service provider. They told him several repairs were needed and quoted him what I assume were inflated prices. Before getting the work done, I called AA and ran the work items past them for feedback. They told me what he should get done immediately, what was overly priced, and what could wait until he brought the car home. Easily saved us hundreds of dollars. They have fair prices, are honest and do quality work as quickly as possible. Not sure what more you can ask for from a service provider like this. read more

Spring Break 2017 - we're 1,000 miles from home - and our pet sitter calls to tell me my garage smells like gasoline. I keep a 70's era car in there that has a quick fill fuel tank. There's always a fuel odor. An hour latter the pet sitter's Mom calls - there's gasoline all over the floor of my garage! Now my wife is freaking out - wants to change our tickets home NOW. I'm thinking -should I call the Fire Department or what??? I settle on calling Jim at Advanced Automotive. Rod jumps in their flat hauler, goes over to my house, moves my other 2 cars out of the way, and winches my baby onto the trailer. But wait - there's more - he spreads soak-it-up all over the floor, moves some gasoline saturated wood out, then sweeps all the soak-it-up stuff up, bags it and takes it with him! Oh - and then moves both cars back into the garage. Two days later he's waiting outside the shop at almost 9:00 on Saturday night to hand off the keys (our flight was delayed). First tried them out with my son's Rabbit that needed new rear brakes; took the parts to them based on reviews and their quoted price (less than half the dealership price.) So impressed took them my wife's 2004 Jag sedan (gulp) which had lost AC/heat. Well, didn't really expect it to be just a fuse and needed new blower, but the part price they quoted was lower than I could find on the internet. They also did a great job on her front brakes (again less than half dealer quote) and told me I DIDN'T NEED steering fluid changed as I had suggested. They also installed some bulbs for nothing and new air filter for nothing. Also did their utmost to do all this while I waited with another appointment on deck--and succeeded! Assuming I get another 10 years out of the new blower, can state best service people I have dealt with in automotive realm over a 40 year period! read more

We just moved to the area this summer and started having some issues with our 2005 Expedition. Moving around a lot brings challenges in finding a good shop and I will totally admit that I've got some trust issues with mechanics. I found Advanced Auto on Yelp and somewhat trepidatiously made arrangements to get my car checked out. My rig was overdue for an oil change and some other typical maintenance and the check engine light had come on so clearly needed some attention. When I dropped it off I explained that I for sure wanted the oil change and diagnosis on the check engine light but to call me before doing anything else. Dave called later that day to explain that the issues my rig was experiencing might have been tied to the overdue oil change and that before doing any other work on it he wanted me to drive it for a bit and see if that did the trick. Sure enough it had!! We had a good chat about what other maintenance I really needed and advice was to just get it done the next time I came in for an oil change. I came away with a feeling that these guys have my best interests in mind as the customer, they are honest, and not trying to rope me into work I don't need or want. i will be back and absolutely recommending them to friends and coworkers. We brought a car here to have it checked out before buying it. Everyone was very courteous and helpful as I checked in. They were very patient as I had my 2 small children with me and the driver who was bringing the car over from the dealer was running late. They started looking at the car as soon as it arrived and let me know immediately that it was not something we would want to purchase for our family. I dropped my car off late Monday after given them a list of things over phone of things that needed to be fixed on my car. They looked at the car and called me back with some suggestion of thing I could do that would be in my price range and things that needed to be done asap. I got a few things done right away and my car was finished first thing the next morning. Dave, Rod & Jimmy are class acts. Rod and his flatbed tow truck bailed me out when my wife's Highlander burst an oil hose. They've also worked on my classic Lincoln Town Car- new copper alloy (wont rust) brake lines, sway bar end links, greasable lower ball joints. I wish I could've experienced all the great service everyone is bragging about or maybe they are selective about who they give great service to. Yes everyone Kn the office smiles and are friendly but when I took my car in I had a different experience. I took my car in about 8 in the morning and they literally kept my car until they were about to close. I didn't get a loaner and I had to call and check on my car so I went all day without a car. I could see if I was a walk in but I booked my appointment at least a week in advance. These guys are so nice so being a native I trusted them. My A/C was not blowing out cold air they claimed they fixed but I may experience small leaks which will cause me to bring in my vehicle again to fix the same problem twice and I have pay for it. It through me off but I didn't say anything because I assumed I wouldn't have the same problem 3 weeks later. I assumed I brought my car in to get fixed meaning I wouldn't have to experience the same problem again. If my A/C isn't working replace it do whatever you have to do is that not normal?! I don't have time to bring my car in the shop every month. Is this how they keep their business by doing lazy jobs? I don't know if it was because I'm a young woman. It's a shame if that determine my service. My car was "fixed" June 1st and June 30th my A/C is not blowing cold air anymore. What was done exactly? Why wasn't this problem fixed? Now I have to take time off, get an Uber home and back, and come out of pocket for the same problem! read more

I decided to bring my car here for a brake inspection/repair based on the great reviews I read. I am SO glad I did. From the start Jim was so helpful in setting up an appointment. He was able to get me in within 2 days, and worked with me on an appointment time. I had to drop the car off earlier in the day than expected, and as a result wasn't going to have a ride back to work. Jim set me up with a loaner car, and I was good to go. It couldn't have been simpler. The most important part to me, was that throughout the whole process (from dropping my car off, to having the repairs/costs explained to me, to picking it back up and paying), Jim explained everything to me in a way that a person with no car knowledge (cough me cough) could understand.
