I didn't get a chance to call anyone until dinner time since I was at a conference. I called and Manny answered on a Saturday evening. He got my information, informed me about inventory and said he would follow up. I told him I'd be traveling the next day, but he told me to still call if I hadn't heard from him. I called on my layover that Sunday morning and Manny answered and said he was getting an updated from the warehouse that had my glass and would text me with the timeframe for the repair that following Monday. The tech made it to my place that following Monday morning during the one hour timeframe that Manny provided, replaced the glass, cleaned the broken glass and was done in about 40-50 minutes. I've never had to get this done before so I can't compare, but I was super impressed by the affordability, speed, availability, and Manny's general helpful attitude! This is the level of customer service I expect and I hope I don't have to use them again, but would in a heartbeat.

I was packing my car up around 10pm at night when my windshield shattered. I didn't know who to…read morecall until I saw DC EMERGENCY GLASS REPAIR in my search. I gave them a call. Fortunately, they're open 24/7. No one answered, so I called again. Someone picked up immediately. I told them I needed an emergency repair for a Hyundai Santa Fe windshield (asap). Unfortunately, they did not have the glass ready in their shop but they were able to place an order that night for pick up the next day. I was told the glass would arrive around noon, then a technician would come out to complete the service between 12-3 pm. He would install the new windshield and clean up the glass. What a relief! The next morning, I called to confirm the service and was assured a repairman would come out to my address that afternoon. Around 2:30, I still hadn't received a call from them. I called again and asked if someone was coming. Sure enough, he was coming... at 3:30-4pm. He shows up, starts manhandling my windshield and the loose glass. He installs the new windshield and leaves all the glass in my trunk and in the street, so I asked him to clean it (as I was promised). He didn't even have a broom or a vacuum! I gave him my dust pan and a broom so he could sweep up the glass from my car. The glass remained on the street and he told me he was heading out. I received the bill - about $400 for the windshield with tax and fees. Argh! Repairman was friendly but I wasn't too impressed with his clean up. Spent extra time sweeping the rest of my car and the street after he left. Great solution for a quick fix, kinda pricey and not the best customer service! LOL

A thief broke into my car by smashing the passenger side window and I needed it fixed in a hurry. Safelite would have done it, but they wanted upwards of $400 on the original quote. They came down as the conversation went on, but still couldn't get below $300. They gave us a story about special disposal requirements for the glass, etc, etc. I used Yelp to find Admiral Auto Glass. I called them and was shocked at the price they could offer. It saved me over $200 and the job was done that day. They vacuumed all the glass out of the door (from inside the door), and they were friendly. I don't understand how a company such as Safelite, which deals in volume, can be beat by a local company, but I'm glad there are still people and businesses like this in the world.

I don't blame the installers from not noticing, but it was glaringly obvious from inside the car. I'll give them one star for coming back to look at it and replacing it within a week or two. The second windshield was fine, but the rubber strip at the top was partially ripped off while going through the car wash two weeks after installation causing a leak on that side. However, I was told by a different company that the leak was from not enough urethane used during installation, essentially improper installation. The strip coming off a little shouldn't have mattered. I paid for the installation on site, but they said that I had to go to their location for warranty work. This is for a minivan and I have 4 kids to drop off and pick up daily, so logistically this wasn't ideal. Reza, the manager, offered to have them come back and fix it, but after weeks and weeks of calls and broken promises, no one has come back and I have given up on them. Now, I have to call another company to come and reinstall it. I usually 4 star a company even when things go wrong as long as they make it right, but this company has wasted so much of my time.
