He was able to quote and schedule the move quickly. Before they showed up we received a phone call 15 min prior to arriving. When they arrived they walked the path, making sure they knew their surroundings. It took 4 people at the store to load the treadmill, but only took 2 movers from Venable to handle the treadmill. Probably the best part was how respectful they were when inside our home. We highly recommend Venable for any moving needs you have, you won't be disappointed.

He didn't send enough movers. He was absolutely unprofessional and inexperienced. I would not recommend to anyone. We are extremely displeased with the experience. The movers would come in with one thing at a time seemingly milking the clock. They didn't answer the phone when we called repeatedly after being 2 hours late with the truck full of our stuff. And after being charged literally double the price, we still have a ridiculous amount of things to move out of our TINY 900 SQ FT APARTMENT. Absolutely 0/10.

Tyler and his crew were everything you want in a moving team--professional, communicative, careful, and genuinely great people. Our situation wasn't straightforward--we were downsizing, and our belongings had to be split between a new home and a new storage unit, all while pulling everything out of a previous storage unit. (Yes, a bit of a moving puzzle!) But Rice Bros handled it all like pros. They stayed in close communication every step of the way, arrived right on time, and treated our stuff like it was their own. No dings, no drama, no stress. Just great energy, smart solutions, and hard work. What stood out most was their attention to detail and positive attitude. They made what could've been a logistical nightmare feel totally manageable--even enjoyable! I've already recommended them to family and friends, and I'll absolutely be calling them again for any future moves. If you want movers who are reliable, respectful, and just fun to work with, Rice Bros is it.

Mike and his movers would be the last movers I ever recommend anyone to us.

The email I received stated between 8-10a. The movers arrived at 1010a. Not too bad, but no heads up and I called twice that morning to ask where they were after sitting around. The owner explained at 815a that they were fueling up and would be there in an hour. They were not. The estimate was scheduled for 7 hours. Was told I could save time if I packed up my stuff. So I not only packed up my stuff and put it all in the front room but moved stuff prior to their arrival to make it easy. Also I was charged for four movers. No big deal, but more on that. Movers arrived, two guys hopped out and it was obvious they've done this before. Movers! A little late but all good. The the 'other two' guys hopped out the truck... One guy looked like he didn't know what he got himself into and could barely lift my furniture, a few times I caught him dragging my couch on the ground and at one point the two 'other guys' were carrying my TV upside down holding it by the stand. The experienced mover did correct them after I stopped them and flipped my own TV rightside up. Lastly the one item I asked them to pack was approximately 32 glass cups. At the end of the day, they did not. I ended up packing them myself. Why? Because they took 5+ hours to move 2 beds, 2 couches, 3 dressers and boxes that were all placed in the front room. Dumbfounded. So they left my house with the truck packed with all the stuff around 315p. I'm moving less than 10mins up the street, I'll put my addys here and you could google map it if 'somebody' wants to post under my review and refute it. I'd be glad to. 45 minutes later... 45 minutes later.. after I called their office and then called the owner, the truck shows up. That's another hour I paid for mind you. Guess what I was told when I asked where they were? You guessed it, 'they had to go get fuel' again. Yeah okay. The owner did promptly give his guy a call to see what was going on. Magically with that extra prompt, they unloaded the truck in just about an hour, carrying up steps, rebuilding furniture and stacking boxes... hmmm. They were able to hit right on the 7 hour mark that I was quoted. No more and no less even after I moved a lot of stuff myself. Oh and the 'other two' guys... at one point I caught the weak one taking a long time putting down a scale and a bathroom wastebasket that weighed 10oz. He was visibly exhausted from physical Labor. I told him to get up and get out. Another time I saw the foreman unloading the truck and hand two small table lamps to the 'other guys' and they each took one lamp. One guy didn't grab two, they each grabbed one. Their time was split either doing nonsense like that or looking at their phones or standing around not knowing what to do. All in all, the two movers did a lot of heavy work. I work for an apparel company and hooked them up with a bunch of stuff. Also tipped them all out at the end of the trip. I'm not saying don't use this company. Just expect they're going to show up in an enterprise rental truck, with help off the street who obviously never moved a house and they will look to end at the exact time their boss told them to regardless of how much stuff there is in the house. They work to the hour for their check and it was obvious as they hit right on the 7 hour mark precisely. Good luck in your move and yo... don't make me post the pictures of the guys walking with my television upside down or moving one lamp or standing around on their phones or the time gap in my call log between them 'refueling' for 45 minutes. Because I will.

His team moved my mom earlier from a 1-bed to a 1-bed this spring and did not come prepared with food or water on a very warm day and expected me to provide that to his team. Since everything was packed, my mom didn't even have food or water for myself. This move took the ENTIRE DAY, as in a full 9.5 hours, and the new place was literally DOWN THE STREET from the old place. Tacuma came up with every excuse as to why it was taking so long. The real reason was the inefficiency of his movers. I've moved many times and even with less men, if they know how to efficiently pack items and work together as a team, a move can be done in a few hours. He also proceeded to take a nap for a good part of the afternoon while his team worked; his presence was extremely unnecessary, as I had hired a 2 person team, and he just hung around since I wasn't paying for his time as a mover. He also treated himself to a nice tour of my mom's new place and didn't even lock an outside door when he was done touring. There was one mover who behaved professionally, but the other mover, again not bringing water, proceeded to drink straight from the faucet and then SPAT into my kitchen sink. This mover then set askew a very large mirror so that it was a fall risk. When I told him it was uneven, his response was, "What am I supposed to do about that?" Overall this an extremely disappointing experience. To make matters worse, my mom ended up feeling unwell -- I thought Tacuma was going to bill us later given how sick she looked, but no, he refused to leave until my mom paid him. I was shocked when we again requested the company to move us a very, very short distance from one place in our rental community to a larger place in the same rental community. From the very first meet my husband and I felt uncomfortable because the man in charge came in with a nasty attitude. Lance spent more time in our restrooms obviously avoiding moving our belongings. While he was in our original apartment, he announced to us that our couch was oversized and he would NOT be able to get it upstairs in our townhouse. Lance had never been in our new townhouse so how he made that determination is still baffling. He claimed that we would need to leave our couch down in the basement. My husband removed the chair rail himself and lo and behold, the couch actually fit. One of his minions, kept telling us that Lance was an expert and knew what he was talking about. Lance was lazy and for every 10 boxes his helpers carried up, Lance brought one. Of course, that was when he wasn't hiding in our bathroom. At one point I couldn't take it anymore and finally told him that I was shocked by the way he kept dropping everything on the floor, unfortunately, so did his helpers with the exception of two of them. I overheard him outside telling his coworkers that he was tired of my "smart mouth". His coworker apologized to my husband and I for Lance's behavior and comment knowing we had obviously heard it. Thankfully, there were two guys that had a work ethic. A few more words about Lance. Lance continuously complained about how cold it was outside, which it was, yet none of his coworkers were whining. One of the guys was struggling with moving our couch at which point it dropped on his foot. That had to be extremely painful, but he continued to carry on. Later, Lance got scratched by a staple in our couch and so overreacted that it was comical. Keep in mind the poor guy that had the couch drop on his foot and then this large grown man practically melting down over what was equivalent to a paper cut. The other thing we noticed was that Jacob had talked about giving us a deal as returning customers, however, Lance actually charged us extra. I recommend that you ask Jacob ahead of time if Lance will be the one sent to you. If so, make sure you have toilet paper in your bathroom because that's where he likes to hide. I actually saw another review prior to our move and realized too late that the reviewer was referring to Lance. Hopefully Jacob has let him go, but unfortunately, the damage has been done and most likely we will not ever use Thompson Moving again.

That never happened and when I finally did get ahold of someone after the 2 months, they answered, acted like they couldn't speak English, and blocked me!
