A complete remodel with 2 retaining walls, new irrigation, sod, zero-scaping, a flagstone patio, hot tub, rebuilt deck, pergola, kitchenette, bar top, and electrical. Andy did an excellent job managing the project, paying attention to detail, and staying as close to schedule as possible. He gave us sufficient time after the job was complete to test the final product, make fixes, etc., before taking full payment. He went above and beyond to make sure to stay within budget and give us a beautiful final product. Before going with Andy we got quotes from 2 other landscapers. Rockview Landscaping's quote was in the middle. We didn't go with the cheapest option because Andy felt more trustworthy and willing to stay close to our vision. Additionally, the cheapest quote came from a larger national landscaping firm. It felt impersonal. We wanted to help a local business instead. The pictures speak for themselves. We included some before pictures as well so you can see how awful our backyard used to be, and how complete the remodel is. The slope in our backyard was very steep, making the lawn space completely unusable. The deck was rotting and painted over with an ugly green color. We cannot believe how much flat lawn space we have now, and the patio, hot tub, deck layout is beautiful and functional.

Here's what they took care of: - Laid gravel and pavers in my side yards and trash area - Trimmed a few small dead branches from my trees - Fixed a sprinkler head that had been a problem - Refreshed my front bed with more mulch and extended edging - Made a problem area in the back more accessible and safer to walk on - Finished with a full yard cleanup, including all the leaves They were efficient, worked well as a team, and communicated clearly throughout. My yard looks SO much better than when they arrived. I highly recommend Banegas and will hire them again for any future yard, tree, and landscaping needs.

We looked at a number of different landscaping companies to re-sod our front lawn. Based on the…read morereviews, and our personal experience while interviewing Jonnatan, we decided to go with Banegas. Overall we are very pleased with the work they did. There was a bit of confusion regarding the grass type installed, but ultimately, we are happy with the Palisades Zoysia laid down. The only complaint that I have was that the sprinklers were not raised before installing the new grass as they were about 1 1/2 inch too short afterwards, and they had to be modified after the sod was laid down, causing a lot of extra work. It was a bad oversight, and should have been picked up by the landscapers beforehand, saving a lot of extra work. Their prices were competitive, and Jonnaton was very flexible to work with. Today our lawn looks fantastic, and we will be brining them back to do more work in the fall. I can easily recommend Banegas for your landscaping needs. BTW. We also had them prune the trees in our front yard, and although they may have been a little aggressive with it, the trees have done fine to this point.

This company is reckless and unskilled. These tree rings and patio were completed 2 weeks ago and…read moreare already breaking apart as you can see from the pictures. They overcharged for work they did not know how to do. When I questioned their methods and repeated 2 outside professionals' expert explanations of the issues, they condescendingly told me to "google the ramming earth method they have used for 20 years" and acted like I was overrating to my patio caving in on itself. I did google it and found out it was indeed the wrong method for a raised/sealed patio and would cause it to sink into the ground and break, which you can see is already happening mere weeks later. When I asked how they would fix the issue they said they would remove an isolated area of stone that dipped into the center to reinforce that part and add more mortar to the top to fill in the sinking seams. The issue is that they used permeable sand that allows water to break down the seams and because the base isn't reinforced with cement/rebar, the water that leaks in and the weight of the stones make it sink deeper and breakdown into itself. I had stopped payment on my second check so we could work out a solution but other professional opinions were their solution wouldn't actually resolve the problems, it would just keep happening. They told me to use the second half of my payment to hire someone else, so I did. When I asked them for the remaining refund of the patio (excluding the tree rings that weren't even circles and had already cracked apart) because I didn't want to pay for something that needed to be demolished and redone, they responded with a bill and threats. The email was attempting to convince me that I had accepted their work and was there to oversee it all, which I wasn't and also, I'm not a foreman or masonry - I accepted ugly work but didn't realize it would also fall apart. They attached a bill for full payment, going back on their previous statement to keep it, and threatened to put a lien on my property if I didn't pay. Luckily, that was unlawful. I replied inviting them to see what has happened to their work over the last couple of weeks and provided them with access to a photo drive with over 100 photos and a video so they could see their work. They accesses the photos but ghosted me. If they, and their work, had integrity they would have handled this situation respectfully and appropriately. I don't want others to have to be in my position so I'm sharing my experience in hopes to prevent you from getting a hazard installed on your property and having to pay twice.
