The worst auto parts store ever. I've been in here before and trying to get someone to help you or frying to get someone that actually knows what they are doing is impossible. but this one takes the cake. I purchased a brake caliper about 2 weeks ago, planning to do my brakes. come to find out the caliper was the wrong one. so i figured i would take it back to exchange it for the correct one. unfortunately i did not have the receipt. but i was unused and still in the original box, with all the extra pieces in the bag that comes with it (4 clips, 1bolt and 2 copper washers to be exact)now when i got there the 1st guy tried to look it up from my number and it wasn't comming up, so he said sorry i can't help you. i just wanted to exchange it you could obviously see it was there part in thier box and packaging. so i asked to talk to a manager, Jose came over and said he was the "general manager" he talked to me said we could call the grafton street store where i purchased it and have them look up the purchase with my phone number. well he did and they couldnt find it either.
obviously someone at that store must of put in my wrong number or something because it wasn't showing up. so i made him look up the part i had, and it was actually for a different car, but get this the correct part number was the exact same number but with an "A" at the end. so this was definitely a case of the original purchase were they had to have just pulled the wrong part off the shelf.. that was so obvious. at this point Jose said, i can't help you and we can't return this part. he told me to go to the grafton street store and talk to them. well we just had them on the phone how were they going to help when they couldnt find my tel # either to verify the purchase. he was like uhh i dont know how they are going to help. so inasked then why are you telling me to go there? he had no answer. at that point he was like "oh well" and quite rude. so i left the store, and as i was walking out he had to add like a rude employee saying "have a nice day".. this guy shoukd not be managing any store, and he is definitely not a peoples person. he knew it was thier part he knew what happened just by investigating what we did, but he didnt even offer to try another phone # maybe with a different digit at the end seeing the mistakes that were already made. but he offered nothing but being rude. my advice go to cap or napa they are very close much much better people and actually about 10% cheaper. you won't catch me again at another "Advanced auto parts". the only reason i went there to begin with was they were the closet place that had the part, too bad it wasn't the right one! and geez what a crappy experience!! read more
