Was just in Advanced Auto Parts in Penndel Pa after being disappointed that Pep Boys was closed for sales...I just needed windshield wipers for my Prius....as soon as I walked in Michael who was at the register helping another customer welcomed me with a big Hi how are you?.... then the second employee passed dancing to the music saying Hi to me....while Michael was checking what I needed a 3rd employee passed me saying Hi Is Michael helping you ok? What a pleasant experience!! Michael found a great pair of wipers and not the most expensive ones...bonus! He told me all about them and had them on my car in minutes all the while engaged in good friendly conversation! I recommend this place highly! Michaels a cutie too! Thanks guys...a great business with welcoming knowledgeable employees! I couldnt ask for more! read more

What good is an auto parts store that never carries the parts you need? They will take your order for the part, tell you it will be on the truck tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes. over a week later and they have no idea what you are talking about. Just try to avoid this place. read more

This is my go to auto parts place. I stopped by picked up an online order and right after I left a wrench light came up on my truck. I went back in and ask them if they could do a diagnostics check on it. There are no customers in the store and two employees were standing behind the counter. They said they don't do it because of Covid. I called the Pep Boys on Street Road they said sure come on over. read more

This was a tough one for me to review because I have just moved to the area and only used this place twice. The first time one of the workers there was great, very happy and had a great attitude. He helped me with gathering all the things I needed as I was doing a full service on my car. However, this auto parts store is in a quiet town and is really used a lot by locals, and you get a sense of that from the workers and customers that are there. So today as I write this 15th of May 2016 at 7:15 as I have just got back from there, I wanted to write this review. I arrived at 18:55 and a man with a cart of tools with an older woman was outside the door, the man was locking it. I asked him if I could get in, I needed to grab a bulb. he looked at me and said we're closed. I looked at him and said I though it was 7pm you close. He looked at his watch which showed 7pm and I pulled my phone which had 18:55. He said the managers asked me to lock the door and he pointed to the manger who was serving someone at the till. I said seriously! people go out of their way to rush to get here in time because online it says 7pm and "we" get here and you locked up early!..joke! The woman said try pepboys, I replied they close at 6pm. As I pulled out I noticed a woman who was running across the car park it was now just around a minute to 7pm and she pulled the locked door and she asked me and I told her they decided to close before 7pm. The lady started to swear and shout, I understand her frustration, but instead of just swearing I wanted to write this review and go in another direction. My ager was at the prick who locked up early but IF the manager did tell him to lock the doors, then I guess this goes to show the way they run business. I get it, it's a small town. I get it, you may not have been busy the whole afternoon and thought it was just a waste of time staying open, I know this because I am an owner of a business. BUT if your hours are 7 to 7 or 10 to 7 then you stay open or change your hours! I got the bulb I needed on the drive back as I stopped in a gas station. read more

There was a time when this was this was a great auto parts store. Although the on hand inventory was sometimes lacking, customer service was exceptional and even exceeded other stores within the same chain with regard to quality people and service. Not so much anymore. Much of the store front inventory has been replaced with chinese nick nacks..hard parts have dropped in quality, yet have increased in price. A cute trick of advance autoparts is to re-brand parts from Dorman under their private labels like that of driveworks and autocraft, with a hefty markup. But worst of all the customer service that I had come to know at this store, isn't what it used to be, and although it is somewhat better than other locations, it is only marginally better and a far cry from what it used to be. From my retail management experience it is an very educated guess that the employees may be disgruntled, judging by their interactions with customers and their seemingly apathetic attitudes. However I will not fault the employees as individuals, because i have seen this in other locations: Bensalem and Feasterville. To me this is suggests that the poor service on the store level is the result of a trickle down effect from a corporate level with the underlying cause being a lack of training, It is a shame because the people on the front line usually get the blame. Despite this, I think my days of being a frequent flyer at Advance are in the past. After all there are other auto parts stores that carry the same parts and are similarly priced, making the only differentiating product the customer service. read more
