Joe disrespected me as a woman, I was told I was lucky it decided to break down and refuse to start, suddenly, 5 feet in front of his bay door, He refused to give the battery a full charge or replace it as I requested. He immediately blamed the starter. He pulled every slimy trick a mechanic could. My vehicle was trapped there and I was told to call an Uber and leave. I LM at 1:30, he instead called my husband back at the very end of business day at 4:55 with "diagnoses" and quote for repair and was upset when phone was handed to me & I spoke to him even though it is my car and I am dealing with it. The very end of next day was my when my car was released to me, over 400 bucks later. He refused to hand over the starter, All this right before July 4th weekend when no one was available to look at it and confirm this supposed repair was needed. I have a new mechanic looking at it next week after he gets off vacation because now I have no idea what he did to it as it was perfectly fine when we pulled in other than those couple of cosmetic repairs I needed a quote on. Avoid this place, He preys on older people and that is why I suspect he gets all these great reviews because that is all I saw in his waiting room. I am so angry and upset I was taken advantage of. The original estimate was for $3800 ( which i thought was on the high side.) Well , by the time Lamon was finished, they had submitted 3 extra supplemental requests to my insurance company, and brought the new claim all the way up to $13,000! I strongly believe that they created additional work just so they could make more money. When I addressed my concerns to the sales rep, they explained that they " need to make money" and the only area that they can accomplish this goal is thru additional labor charges. When i dropped my car off, i told them that i needed to return the car as the lease was expiring. They estimated completion within 8 days. As it turned out, they had the car in for "repairs" for over 5 weeks. They even put in a last minute supplemental request to the insurance company 2 days before i was expecting to pick up the car. I was put in the uncomfortable position to have to call my insurance company to expedite this last repair approval. In essence, my car was being held hostage pending this last payment. While the quality of the work was satisfactory, the overall experience was very disturbing. I will never bring a car into Lamon in the future.

When putting in the heater core there were 2 issues. The first one we noticed was that they mixed up wires so, driving home all the lights came on and it kept stalling. Took it back and they fixed their mistake. (paid a lot for this btw). Then came heavy rain and there was an inch of water front to back and it started smelling very musty and moldy like a flood car. After much back and forth, they finally realized their mistake in that they had left the heater core rubber boot seal on the fire wall pushed out and rain was pouring in. Their solution was to jury rig it with caulk instead of doing it correctly with a new boot. Meanwhile we had to pull out all of the carpet and it still stinks. But it gets worse. Here we are 6 months later and started having odd electrical issues and then, out of the blue it will not start. We had it towed to a reputable shop and they recommended we try the dealer. Took it to Toyota and they pretty much pronounced it dead due to water damage to the computer and possibly the wire harness...unless I want to pay up to $8000 to fix my 2010 vehicle! Coastal was well aware of the water leak as they had caused it and then incompetently put a band aid on it and now they are denying any responsibility whatsoever and, thanks to their utter incompetence, we are out of a vehicle or any trade in value. Unless your car is disposable, stay away from this place! In the process to take them to small claims. BEWARE!!!

I won't go into the details but after the last visit to the dealer I won't be going back there again. Now I had to find a reliable repair shop. I used to do oil changes and the like myself but my days of rolling around on the garage floor are long gone. I had a coupon so I made an appointment at a major chain for Monday morning. That turned out to be a total waste of time, literally. I sat in the waiting room for 90 minutes while my car sat in the same space I parked it in when I got there. I finally gave up and left. Needless to say, I won't be going back there again either. So, I decided to try Bob's, the local repair shop right here in Lawrenceville. I had a couple of flat tires repaired at Bob's over the years and I don't know why I didn't just go there in the first place! Maybe because my wife suggested it and I hate it when she's always right! :( :D I stopped in to Bob's on the way home that same morning and we made an appointment for Wednesday morning. I brought my car in on time and went home to have breakfast. I got a call a little over an hour later saying my car was ready and headed back over to Bob's. The oil change was done right, all the fluids were checked and topped off, and I didn't have to wait all day. Bob's price was very fair, I didn't need a coupon, and the convenience was priceless! Bob and Wayne were friendly and professional. My car is running great! I'll be bringing my car back to Bob's again the next time I need service or repairs.
