I went to my local Advance Auto Parts to shop for windshield wiper blades for 2 vehicles. They have a current rebate offer on their Bosch Focus wiper blades, so I chose that brand. While checking out, Dan Miller helped me save even more money on the wiper blades thanks to explaining their 2 yr warranty offer and how it works. He even reminded me to put an alert in my phone calendar as I use that calender for everything anyway. He also helped save me a return trip as I picked the incorrect rear wiper blades. I highly recommend asking for Dan if you need help at the Hampstead branch of AAP. read more

I needed new windshield wiper blades to replace my old, worn out blades on my Mini Cooper. Really not my area of expertise. I was able to figure out how to remove one of the old blades, and on doing so I saw how easy it was. Anyway, I went to this business and showed the old blade to the counter person. She just glanced at it. Hmmmm. She looked up my 2011 Mini model on her computer and told me exactly what to buy and which aisle in the store where I could find them. She also told me I needed a 19" blade for the driver's side and 18" for the passenger side. I found the rack in the store, located the right sizes, and ipened one of the new ones to compare to my old wiper blade. Looked the same. Bought the two blades and changed them in the parking lot in front of the store. Very easy. Great store, knowledgeable staff. Recommend. read more

If I could rate this store -5 stars, I would. Where to begin? The employees that can't be bothered to take out their headphones or close YouTube to look you in the eye while checking out? Or even employees that can't be bothered to leave their counter domain to merely answer a question about an item on the floor. How about openly using profanity? The employees make it hard to spend money there and it seems as if they think their every move is a favor to the customer that's ABOUT TO SPEND MONEY THERE. I'm not naive enough to believe spending money entitles you to people, but I do believe that there should be some mutual respect being given to me as a consumer and that is most definitely not the case here. Please don't waste your time with this place and just go to Standard Auto down the street! Standard auto parts store, nothing remarkable or special about it. They had what we needed in stock and the price was reasonable. The cashier took a little too long on a return (I think he was trying to flirt with her or something), but otherwise no complaints here. This is a decent-sized location with a lot of space; you won't feel crowded. Neighborhood is a bit dicey, but they're still working on renovations here. Lots of auto repair shops and car wash places along Howard Street, so this is a one-stop shop if you need something automotive in nature. read more
