My…read moreusual service spot (Cape Auto) was completely slammed, and I'm not about to take any of my Jeeps to Adams (crappy work, suspect they replace things don't need to be replaced, over charge). So that left me with one option, repair it myself. I'm very mechanically inclined, and used to do all my own auto work, but in my older years it's just a bit more difficult to get it done like I used too. Had to replace the radiator fan (after replacing the relays and those weren't the problem). No one had an OEM fit replacement, and Jeep dealer said it would take more than a week (plus I would have to pay upfront $400). Decided to give Napa a try. Sure enough they had an aftermarket, OEM fit, replacement fan in stock.... at their DC location. No worries. They got in the next day. However, they ordered the wrong one for that location, it was a single speed fan, not HD cooling (2 speed). Counter guy was very apologetic, he thought he had requested the HD fan, but had clicked on the standard one. These mistakes happen. Got the fan next day, $150. Less than half what Jeep wanted for a Mopar branded part, which in all likelihood Napa and Mopar brand came off the same assembly line.

I called over to the dealership and asked for service and none other then Elvin answer the phone. Very polite and listened to my concerns. He ensured me to bring the car right on in and they can tackle the job in no time. So I bring the car on down. He walks outside inspects my car and writes down his needed information. We go back inside and he says he will call me with an answer to my problem and give me a quote on the fix. Pricing was spot on for the quality of work preformed. A day later my car is back no squeaking noise and runs good as new. He advised me of routine maintenance that will be coming with the millage I have and I told him I will be back to get the job done. Took the ugly equinox and went about my way. I came back. Was told that it was my tires and my breaks and ROTORS *cries* that were causing me issues. I only paid for one diagnostic and since I know a mechanic I was able to get the parts wholesale. Still expensive but at about 1/4 of the price. Nobody judged me as they do In many benz dealerships. Nobody had a stick up their bum. They were all extremely helpful and sweet and I really and truly appreciated their lack of pretentiousness. However, I live 38 miles away from the dealership that I lease from and though I adore them, I needed assistance ASAP today with a brake fluid exchange and power wheel steering to get ready for my upcoming 300+ mile trip tomorrow morning. Luckily, I was able to place an estimate request in the night before, got an estimate within an hour of requesting it and was advised via email to show up WHENEVER I could between their open hours for the work to be done. How EASY! Upon arrival, I was greeted by super nice staff--I was led to a very clean and welcoming waiting room which had freshly made coffee and a working TV. I was able to take a work call the entire time without an issue. The members on deck for my servicing were Andrew B. and Clifford S. They were AWESOME! I was in and out within less than 35 minutes.
