I'll have you know I am the current Duchess of AutoZone... hilarious considering I have only just started going into auto parts stores. Now that Jeremy has started a car repair service, I'm in auto parts stores two, three times a week. I head for the stickers and accoutrement sections because that's all I understand right now. I'm not tall enough to see into the hood of a car so I never learned what any of the pieces look like. I've heard them mentioned, so I know they exist, but don't ask me what they do. I suppose that will change over time. I'm in for years of Jeremy telling me about cars. The same thing happened to me with guitars and Star Trek. I didn't know anything about those thing either, until I met Jeremy. Anyway... we walked to AutoZone because Jeremy had a client on Philip Dr. And it was the closest auto parts store, but they did not have whatever we were after, so we went down the street to O'Reilly's. read more

I would give them no rating . They only had one customer other than my husband and I. One associate was help the one customer and one was on his phone behind the counter. The another walked in and hand him something . The both looked at us but did not act knowledge us. The one walked away the other went back to the shelving area behind the courter still on his phone. Since they were too busy doing nothing. We went to the new auto zone in Cromwell. They helped us rigth away and were very friendly this will be my new store in the future. My experience here was wonderful. My car battery died at one of the most inopportune times. I had to make several important stops, and did not have much time. I was able to get a cable jump from a nice person and drove straight here. I did not have much time, and thankfully they were able to remove my old battery, replace it with a new one, and install it for me in less than 15 minutes. The employee that helped me, Curtis, was super friendly and knowledgable. I appreciate your hard work Curtis and I would definitely come back. Thank you! read more

Went in to purchase new wiper blades. Establishment was well lit, neat, orderly and the floors were clean. The employee greeted me, he was friendly and he talked me through the four different brands of wiper blades they sold. I made the decision and he picked out the right sizes for my GMC Yukon Denali. As I was paying he asked it I wanted them, AutoZone, aka him, to install the new blades; for free. So I said, sure! A great visit! read more

We dealt a very unpleasant associate. He was not helpful at all, very unfriendly old man. I would not recommend going here at all. He assumed to know everything but it turns out he was wrong himself. This autozone always helps me out! The employees are great. I needed a new battery and Dennis helped me get it, he is such a great guy! Super funny and included my crazy 4yr in the interaction. He at 1st said they could install it in my car, but thus young guy Austin was just getting there and he was willing to do the extra work! So nice!! Robin was our miracle today. Our car battery was dying and after being turned away service at Toyota Brown's and basically being told to go away and figure it out ourselves because they close in an hour we were hopeless as our car could literally shut off in the middle of the highway on our way home. We went to AutoZone and was going to figure out how to replace a battery ourselves, Robin was kind enough to explain to us different types of batteries and was kind enough to help us replace it herself. People may have their own negative opinions about this branch, but let me tell you that every time I come over here every worker here really helps people out. Such great genuine people. If I could give them zero starts I would worst customer service ever!!! From the managers to staff I have been here 3 times before and it's never any better. I have never been to an establishment with a bunch of useless people just standing around on their phones. Worst service ever I rather drive the extra miles and go else where for my auto parts! The cashier was so busy flirting with a girl to acknowledge me at the register trying to get an auto part. Then the manager just stands around on his cell phone when no one else is in the store but me and no one could help me. Worst customer service every visit here! read more

As usual the crain highway glen burnie Maryland store has proven they are about as incompetent as it can get. Incompetent or commiting fraud, makes me wonder. I have had bad experiences in the past at this location so its no surprise what happened last night. After plowing snow for 14 hrs my alternator and battery started to die. They are both way over due for a change so I was not too upset. I hesitated to go back to this location but as stated 14 hrs of plowing I was tired and needed to get the parts and get them installed, at 6pm. After doing the research I stopped in to pick up the alternator and battery, easy enough right?. I stated to the counter person i wanted a NEW high output plow package alternator and high 850-1000 cca battery. He went on his merry way to gather the parts. He charged me for a NEW high output plow package alternator and battery I requested. I went home to do the install, in the cold and dark. I installed the parts and found that the alternator was no good. Great, now I have to take the new one out and reinstall the old one to get back to the store. This is when, much to my dismay, the box to the "NEW" alternator said REMANUFACTURED! I missed this fact in my hast to get the install done. By this time the store was closed. I rechecked the receipt and sure enough I was charged for a NEW alternator. I checked the stores stock online and found they were OUT OF STOCK!! Was this a mistake? Kind of hard to believe seeing as the box had REMANUFACTURED written all over it. How could he look for and pull off the shelf this box if he is a trainer professional? Also if they had none in stock the computer should have told him that. So I'm leaning toward someone who knowingly sold a remanufactured one and charged for a new. Ummm, thats called FRAUD! Not wanting to deal with the headache and argument I knew would happen i check another store to look for the alternator i was charged for. There was only one in stock 20 miles away. So this morning I trudged up to the store in less than ideal road conditions to get the correct part, hopefully! To my great surprise I was met by a gentleman named Terrance at the Reisterstown ( Baltimore md) store. He was very understanding and the first words out of his mouth were " thats a remanufactured alternator". I told my story of woe and to this he just shook his head. He was understanding and very pleasant. He took back the wrong part and brought me the correct part with no headache. He truly saved the day. After installing the correct alternator the truck still doesn't appear to be right. Now I have a huge question in my mind, is the damn battery any good? After seeing many reviews about the glen burnie store and my previous experience it boogles my mind why corporate has not stepped in to rectify the incompetent behavior there. I doubt this review will even be acknowledged, but felt people need to know what going on at that store. read more

My son went into this location asking for a restroom and the clerk behind the counter Decided to racially profile him stating you can't use my restroom are you going to steal from me? He also threatened to call the police on my son because he simply wanted to use the rest room. Is this that type of environment that we are living in now. I wouldn't never shop at this AutoZone ever in life and I would hope that you would not do so as well. At some point in time we have to stop profiling people it's not right. I am very disappointed in the actions of the sales clerk behind the counter today I'm very disappointed that we are still living in the 1950s. I have served my country for 20+ years and raised my son to be respectful and this is the slap in the face that we receive. This particular sales clerk need to own up to the wrong doing that was done today in the owner of AutoZone really needs to consider proper training for all of his staff. I will take this message viral if necessary. I do expect a resolution and I do expect a apology. And to all people of color I highly recommend that you do not shop at this store our money is just as valuable if not more. read more

I have been coming to this store for at least a year and I think I have finally had enough. In all my times coming to this store I have only had one good experience. The gentleman who helped me was a bit older and wore glasses he was very knowledgeable and friendly to talk with I had a great experience. With that said every other time I have entered this place I feel horrible. The employees treat you with a snooty attitude that make you feel like if you don't know everything that you know then you must be dumb. Every single time I go in to buy motor oil for my car I go to the service counter and ask them which motor oil they have on sale. They show me a magazine with all the available oils and filters that are on sale. I pick the one I want and they ask me for my year, make, and model so that I get the correct oil and filter. This last time I went in I had to wait in line for at lest 10 minutes because of a computer malfunction with a credit card terminal (I understand this is not their fault) I then proceed to the counter and ask the young lady what I ask any other employee that works there. "What deals are you running on motor oil?" She looks at me confused and says "Well you would have to go to the back wall and check for yourself" I was baffled and quite annoyed when she told me this so I then asked her what oil filter would fit my car. She starts reaming down the list every single filter still not knowing which ones are on sale. After going to the back of the building twice looking for the right filter because I had picked up the wrong one she still stood behind the counter not wanting to move from her computer. The service here is very unprofessional and like I said at the beginning make you feel horrible and that your presence in the store is not wanted. I am hoping that through this comment they can find what is going on at this store and get this resolved. read more
