Paid over $1800 for service then my car broke down on the highway leaving the dealership. They worked with me to get a new car, this car came with locking lug nuts on the wheels. Overpriced I had a horrible experience with service department. I took my Mazda in for an electric window issue, as well as 2 recall issues. I was quoted over 1,000 dollars for repair, including a 150.00 diagnostic fee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I asked why the diagnostic fee wasn't waived since they were doing the work, I was given a curt response that the technician needs to get paid.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was all communicated with Kayla via text.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since I had to get the recalls taken care of, and did not want to run around, I let them do the work. When I got the car home, there was a red error code on dash and the door locks weren't working. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Round 2: take the car back, seeking clarification that they would make it right and I wouldn't be charged. This dealership and the 2024 CX50 itself made it so I will never buy a Mazda ever again. Was my first Mazda, absolutely will be my last. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The customer service dealership service side: workers are absolute garbage[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I do not like getting into it w customer service people and genuinely don't usually have an issue anywhere but somehow I've had two of them behave poorly. One told me the seams on the fabric of my brand new car were coming apart because there werre footmarks on the back of the seat lmao. Meanwhile, I have two other cars at home that are more than a decade old with high mileage and, remarkably, the seams are all intact. Of course, this is a known issue in the model - one only need reviews and peruse cx50 forums to understand that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager said he was "having a bad day" in re his assertion that the defect was somehow my fault.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The next was some trashy lady who said I was demanding because I dropped my car with less than 12k miles on it that wasn't starting consistently bc of a key issue and said I'd need a ride home or a rental car while they worked on it lol.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now, I've covered some of the car defects above but I'll detail a few others inherent to the 2024 cx50: the rear view mirror came off early on and mazda said it was a "safety feature". They reattached it and it continued to come off during adjustment. i've owned a lot of cars and cannot say I've ever had it happen on another. The seats actually are horrible. Another known issue and not one discovered after a quick test drive. After my first long road trip, my back hurt so bad I decided I couldn't take it on any others. Again, perfectly fine in other cars and this is a common complaint about this car. Recommend renting and taking on a long drive before deciding. Yesterday, I went to go adjust the rear view mirror and it fell off in my hand. I'd had enough. I traded it in for another brand that's not garbage and will never, ever buy or recommend a Mazda again. read more

Avoid This Dealership at All Costs! **PLEASE READ** If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with this dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare. At the end of January, I visited this dealership, excited to finance my first brand-new 2025 Mazda CX-90. I arrived around 7 PM and patiently waited over an hour before being paired with Marcus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He was honest and told me my initial request was unrealistic, which I appreciated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since they were still evaluating my trade-in (a 2016 Nissan Rogue SL), I went to retrieve my keys, assuming the deal wasn't going to work out. That's when another salesperson stopped me and insisted, "How do you know I can't get you what you want until I try?" Hesitantly, I handed back my keys and continued waiting--past closing time. Eventually, we got close to the deal I wanted, but I made it VERY clear that I was not interested in leasing. Multiple times, I asked Marcus, "I'm not leasing this, right?" and each time, he assured me, "No." Even in the finance office, I confirmed again, "This isn't a lease, right?" Again, I was told "No." Because it was late, I was rushed through the process and told I could come back Monday to retrieve the rest of my belongings from my old car. When I returned, I was informed that the detailing team had already "cleaned out" my vehicle. Five random items were left in the front seat, and I assumed the rest had been placed in a bag in my trunk. Wrong. I later realized that they had thrown away everything. My garage opener, dash cam, CDs, important documents from my glovebox, my middle console items, my car decor--all gone. My personal belongings were literally trashed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I confronted them, they basically shrugged and said, "Sorry, nothing we can do."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If that wasn't bad enough, in April 2025, I discovered my temp tags had expired, and my plates were suspended because they failed to cancel the registration on my old vehicle. When I contacted them, they admitted it had "slipped through the cracks." Now, I have expired tags, a suspended registration, and I've been waiting for a callback for hours with no resolution. This dealership is dishonest, careless, and completely unprofessional. They misled me into signing a lease, threw away my personal belongings, and failed to handle my registration properly. I purchased my vehicle from this dealership in 2017 and for the first few years the Service Department was fine. Unfortunately they've had some turnover in recent years (including a new Service Director) and the service has dropped off significantly and now they consistently try to upsell unnecessary services and I encourage everyone to do your due diligence before you commit to any "recommended" service that's not covered under your warranty. My most recent (and last) experience with them earlier in the year was the absolute worst and included several wasted trips to the Service Department with complete disregard for my time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The communication between all levels (management, service advisors, technicians) was terrible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For example, during one trip a technician told me they could proactively replace my fuel pump (per the recall/settlement), but when I brought it back to have the work done they said it could only be fixed if it was broken (i.e., a wasted trip for me). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another time I had scheduled an appointment directly through the Service Director, but when I arrived the Service Advisor knew nothing of it (and refused to call the Service Director to sort it out) so I had to drive home and then drive back again later on once they sorted things out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And when I picked my vehicle up for the last time they tried to to charge me for a service that we had agreed prior would be pro-bono (i.e., related to the ghost touch screen settlement). When I pushed back they removed the charge, but the Service Director didn't even bother to speak to me in person or apologize for yet another mix up. That was the final straw and I'm not even sure I'd even consider buying another vehicle from this dealership for fear of having to deal with their Service Department again. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! Don't even visit, no matter how good the deal might look, and especially as a Black/woman/mom. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For context, I worked with Mike Hamilton, who is a liar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have shady business practices, sold me a car that was a dud in the shop, told me they'd fix it, delivered it to me (which i had to ask for) still not working properly!!! The door didn't open (which I 1000% believe Mike knew, but did his best to hide it during his presentation of the vehicle!) So I've had to take time from work multiple times and use my gas to bring it back for them to "fix it". And it's still not fixed (the door still doesn't open and my cold air is still blowing warm while it's 90 degrees outside) so I'll have to take more time and use more gas in the coming weeks. No way this car was ever TRULY inspected, and if it was I'm sure they did a cash to hand deal for it to pass. I even offered to forfeit my down payment and any fees for their time / processing, still no, so I'm stuck in a crappy deal! Since it was LESS THAN 24 HOURS after they delivered the car to me that I started having issues, I asked them to please take this car back. Of course, they declined. So I'm left super disappointed and had the car not been in the shop for 3 days after I bought it my bank could / would have cancelled the transaction. BUYERS BEWARE!!! read more

This review is solely based on the service department NOT sales I've been taking my vehicles to Rich Morton since their Ford/Lincoln days. Been through many different service advisors, but we've always been very pleased with whomever assists us. Keith and service tech Charlie are outstanding at what they do. Charlie is very thorough with his inspection and I'm a big fan of the inspection videos they send. Keith is very straight forward about what needs to be addressed, and when it comes to service recommendations, he also takes into consideration what the customer needs out of their vehicle to avoid costly repairs that may not be needed at the moment. As far as wait times go, I would probably add on an extra 30-45 minutes from whatever you are quoted, which is more of a reflection of how busy the service bay is and not due to a lack of professionalism. If waiting, take the short walk and get a bite to eat at the diner to help pass the time. Regardless of the make/model of our cars, we will continue to use Rich Morton for all of our service needs read more

Turns out I had to pay interest on top of that when I did not have to. Furthermore, I noticed damages to the car that were not stated on the CarFax they had body work done and did not inform me. These people will try to squeeze every dollar out of you and then more. Worst customer service. Racist dealers as well with comments and jokes. Have used them for recalls and oil changes in the last, no problems before this most recent trip. I dropped my car off on Tuesday for an oil change and a warranty repair, and when I picked it up, my gear shift knob was broken, with pieces all over the console. When I brought the broken piece in to show them, the manager argued that it was broken when I brought the piece in, and there's no way his technician could have broken it because "He would have said something" and "We don't operate that way". Even after admitting that there was a chance his technician could have hit it when removing the seat for the warranty, he refused to take responsibility for the repair or replacement. He had the nerve to say "We'll install the part for you if you purchase it". Avoid for service at all costs, I would find any other dealership to work with. read more

On 6 April my wife and I visited Rich Morton's Mazda with the intention of test driving a 2021 Passport. I believe it was priced on the website for $29k but had been listed on the lot for two years. We had found a similar vehicle in Frederick for $24k and we were hopeful that a motivated local seller and a similar price point would result in a sale of this Passport for $25k. We were upfront that we were looking for that price and had the cash to buy today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We test drove the vehicle with our salesman Joshua.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] With the sale price and our expected price differing so much, he had to confer with his manager. There were many back and forth conversations, but the outcome was an agreement of $25k, out the door, but we would need to finance it. The manager requested that we make payments for 3 months before paying off the vehicle in order for the dealership to get credit for financing. We were told that the vehicle needed to be reinspected after having sat so long, but we eventually were brought to the financing office to meet with Lenny. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were presented with a few pieces of paper, none of which were the loan agreement. We were told that the dealership would shop the loan and we would receive electronic agreements to sign.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This was stated as a practice in place since COVID. We did sign a statement that Mazda had the right to negatively impact our credit in the event of loan non-payment, but we were never presented with a contract or a written price. We asked Lenny to check his system to be sure that the financing was still $25k and he did. He confirmed in the office that the price was $25k. We signed for the plates and were asked not to date the MVA paperwork, but nothing money related was given to us or signed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We left the office with nothing in writing with regard to the price or the loan, only assurances that electronic paperwork would be forthcoming. We were, of course, uneasy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We brought the Passport home that day and drove it until the 19th of April. We received a truth in lending notice from Mazda credit showing a total of $47,768 with interest of $13,267 which totaled a purchase price of $34,5001. After discussion between us, we drove to the dealership to deconflict the numbers, our expectation of financing $25k and Mazda's loan of $34,501. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We spoke with the manager on duty and Lenny. Both initially thought that the difference could be explained by tax, title, and tags, but after discussion, we all concluded that the numbers were too far apart for that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My wife and I both agreed that even if we had misunderstood about taxes, title, and tags, we would have paid the difference, but the gap between the agreed upon price and financed price was too large to be explained. Tax, title and tag for $25k would have been, worst case, 25000 x 1.06 +100 title+ 225 tags + 500 dealer processing or $27,325. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager on duty, and Lenny were unable to verify how much had been financed, explaining that they were unable to query the financing system without assistance of staff members that were not onsite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They recommended that we return on [[HIGHLIGHT]]Monday to discuss with the appropriate staff members. This leaves us with a question. How was a loan taken out in our names for a dollar figure that was neither conveyed to us, agreed upon by us, or signed for by us? We are confident this is a mistake and look forward to clearing this up Monday, but the outcome remains; a loan was taken in our names that we did not agree to. Monday, we spook to the original manager that we had made the 25K agreement with, he simply stated they would be taking the car back and said nothing else[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We returned the Car, signed a paper that stated it has been returned and nothing owed. My suspicion is that the only reason they took the car back is there was already a similar lawsuit being pursued another party. read more

After a routine inspection, it was found that my front tires were in the red zone, yet not one single person in that dealership brought this to my attention. Upon getting my car key back, I hopped into my car and took a closer look at my service report. There it was, a notation saying my tires were in the red. So I get out of my car and walk back into the dealership. I said "I see my tires are in the red, was no one going to speak to me about this?" The guy simply said "I totally forgot to tell you." What?! This man also said he forgot that I was sitting in the waiting lounge. Plum forgot. So instead of it being an hour and a half appointment, I was waiting for 3 hours. All he did was chuckle and said "well at least you had something to occupy you" then pointed at my laptop. I will certainly be taking my car elsewhere. read more

Our first Mazda purchase and we are happy so far! Shan Marfani was a great salesperson and very helpful. Easy to communicate and not a high-pressure tactics person. Had things in order and ready ahead of the day of our purchase. We liked the 1.9% APR too. CX-5 Turbo Signature is worth the extra splurge for the better turbo engine (256 hp/320 torque) for on-ramps at highways, passing vehicles. We also like the surround view camera, heads-up display with speed and navigation turn directions, front parking sensors, power-folding side mirrors for tight parking spots, Bose sound system and ventilated front seats. Leather seats are a nice touch too. The only thing we need to do is swap out the mediocre stock tires (Toyo) for Pirelli ones for better handling in the rain and snow. read more

TLDR: Be careful of the finance department of this dealership. Read everything you sign, triple check everything. While the salespeople are friendly and are reasonable, you can get royally screwed by the finance department. Either avoid this dealership altogether or if you absolutely have to shop here, be extremely vigilant on what you are signing. They will sneak in all kinds of fees in there, not disclose them to you, they will try to fool you with the payment amount, they may match the payment amount to your liking, but will increase the number of payments, while hiding it from you. Here is what happened to me. As soon as we agreed on a price for a used Lexus LX570, $40,800, the credit was run, approved for 60 months, and I was asked to talk to the financing person in another room. Lenny was the name of the finance person if I am not mistaken. He acts like he is having a bad day everyday and you are at fault for asking any questions. At this point, all I know is the price of the vehicle and the the loan rate, and nothing else. The finance guy tells me to sign some 4-5 blank papers (One about the mileage, another is the bill of sale, selling as is, etc), the typical papers you sign, except blank! His explanation was that if I make any mistake on any of these papers, it may result in delays in issuing the permanent license plate, meanwhile my temporary license plate may expire sooner than they can issue the permanent one, while the potential errors are being fixed. For this reason he insisted that I leave everything blank, including the dates. Anything I ask (like what are the final numbers for interest, tax, dealer fee, etc) he acts super annoyed and tells me all of the papers will be available electronically for me to review later. He refuses to answer any question by passing me to the sales people, or telling me to call the bank and ask them, or just outright telling me I am asking too many questions that he has no answers. At the conclusion he hands me a USB drive which supposedly contains "everything" for me to review at home. After I kindly insisted on showing me what I signed, he prints out the bill of sale. Turns out the total price of the vehicle was some $13,000 more than the agreed 40,800 with no itemization the price. I am strictly talking about the price of the vehicle and not the interest, license plate fee, dealer's fee, which are listed separately. Some 13,000 extra fees! Some 2,000 was supposed to be the tax (I am estimating because there was no way to know) but the rest made absolutely no sense, other than more "dealer's fees" were added. Moreover, They put 84 payments instead of the 60 that we had initially agreed. They added Gap insurance, which I had clearly declined. When I asked why was this added, they tell tell me otherwise your interest rate would have been higher (nonsense). I literally begged everyone on that floor to explained me what these number are, their answer is that I should go check out their website for their dealer's fees. When I complained to the floor manager (Don Burke) about the attitude of the finance guy and that he had me sign blank papers only for me to discover all of these surprises later, the manager justified him saying that it is a normal practice to hand over blank papers to customers to sign and that the finance guy had no way of answering my questions. After spending 8 hours at the dealership, I had them cancel everything and walked out. Hopefully I don't get a call from a collection agency in the future about some loan that was assigned to me. To conclude there is some serious fraud going on in this dealership. It's probably occasional but consistent. They have systemic issues that need to be looked at. I highly doubt making people sign blank papers is legal. But good luck if you end up shopping here because you will need it. read more

Wow, I have never seen so many bad reviews. Seems pointless to add another negative one but here we go. I paid $17,500 cash for a used Mazda CX-5. When I got home I realized there was no Mazda owner's manual in the glove compartment. I called Bobby, my salesman and he promised to order me one from Mazda and mail it to me. Great! Problem resolved. Except he was lying. No manual sent to me. Next day I realized that I forgot to get the tongue and ball for my hitch from under the mat in the rear of my trade-in. Called Bobby, left a message. I just wanted to make sure car was still there. No response even after several messages. Last time I called the sales manager came on the phone and said that he saw Bobby carrying my message in his hand and that he would call me back soon. Another lie. This is minor stuff compared to others' complaints but it reinforces their practice of dishonesty. Wish I had read these complaints before shopping there. Buyer beware! read more

Took my 2016 MX-5 in for 24 mo/10k mi service. I made sure to ask them to "Torque the bolts and nuts on the chassis and body" as the manual clearly states needs to be done. This is an unusual item, especially to be done so frequently. They said they understood. After the service was done I noticed there was no labor charge and no indication on the bill that it had been done. When asked, they said they inspected, not torqued, all the bolts. After some hassle getting them to see that they hadn't done what the manual prescribed, they talked it over for 10 mins out of earshot and came back with a price of $230 and said they'd never heard of doing this and had never done that in 15+ years in the business. So I called Thompson Mazda, another dealer who actually has good Yelp reviews. I didn't explain the story; I just asked if the manual meant inspect or physically put a torque wrench on each bolt. They explained in detail how the MX-5 was changed in the 2016 model-year and why it needed regular checking of the front suspension. They do it regularly and normally don't charge to do it with other service, like an oil change. End result: Rich Morton only sells Mazdas and yet is totally unqualified to service them. And they can't even read things plainly stated in black & white in the manual. They think they know more than the manufacturer or the car itself. These are the kinds of idiots who give mechanics and dealers a bad name. I have to drive 15 mi out of my way to give Thompson Mazda my business, but you can bet I'll do just that from now on. read more

Original review: We came looking for a new car. First they advertise the best unbelievable deal in the world. I guess we went for it. We arrived on Saturday. We went to look at the car, got keys. Hm now we saw why it was cheaper. They removed sticker with name and model trim, hopping for uneducated consumer who doesn't know the difference between one trim and another. They were selling base Mazda 3 and advertising it as preferred trim. When we mentioned it to the guy he went and talked to his manager, after half an hour back and forth he come back to us with MSRP value of the same car (with correct trim), so to explain, they increased price by $9000. For previous year model, price at MSRP was in 26.5k and advertising was 17.5k. We got our car that day, from another dealer... Sure we didn't get it to 17.5, but it was no were close to what they were offering. All other dealers were advertising theirs cars right under 20k. And all of them were ready to honor their claims.. What Rich Morton Mazda is doing is not legal. They're simply cheating, selling you cheaper model so you would think you got great deal. I am sure that during last minute when they give you paper to sign they will put correct model so you would not be able to sue them later. Mazda made it easy, there no abbreviation on the back of the car, like SE, LE, XLE or something like that. All Mazda car of the same model don't have an indication of the trim level at the back of the car. Only VIN number can tell you real trim level. My advice, avoid this dealership, don't even come close, you will be cheated on one way or another. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! read more

Took my son here yesterday to buy his first car on his own, and the salesman we dealt with at the Used Car Lot was nice, and said he had been there only a few weeks. He told my Son that he would probably get a first car buying discount (which I knew was a sales tactic), we wanted to negotiate the price, so he called in his finance manager. The Finance Manager, who also said he had only been there a few weeks was really hostile from the moment he walked in. He had a horrible attitude and was immediately defensive. He tried to tell us the car was marked down for "Black Friday," which my Son and I immediately called him on because we knew he was being dishonest (we had been watching the car for over a month). Then they brought up that they had to add a "reconditioning fee" which was something the State of Maryland requires, which again is not the truth (call the Maryland Attorney General's Office to verify for yourself to avoid this fee), and he just continued to talk down to us and treat us like we were trash, told us we weren't doing the right searches for comparable prices, and the list goes on and on. Well Morton Mazda, thank you for helping us to make a decision to walk away from your dishonesty because we bought the same car, with lower mileage for way less TODAY! So your comparisons were inaccurate as well! There is a reason cars sit on your lot for over a year, and I will continue to watch your lot to see how long it sits there, especially since you raised the price after we called your bluff last night by $2000+ today. read more

Had a reallllllllllll awful experience with the service department trying to get my repairs covered under my warranty. First, they couldn't find any record of my warranty in their system, but they insisted they were right because the woman whose job it is to find that info does this all the time, so she knows what she's talking about. Thank goodness I kept hard copies of my paperwork from the other Mazda dealership I bought the car from. Had to go home to get those papers to prove that I had a valid warranty. But because it was Black Friday, Mazda corporate offices were closed, meaning they couldn't make the adjustment in their system, and they held my car hostage over the weekend. On Monday, the corporate offices were open, but the system was acting up and the warranty paperwork still couldn't be completed. I was on vacation so that didn't bother me too much, but thought it was worth noting in my review. On Tuesday they called me back and said my repairs would not be covered under my warranty, so I had to call Mazda corporate myself to get that figured out. Mazda corporate, btw, also tried to blow me off and said they wouldn't override anything the dealership decided but that they'd call the dealership for me (for what purpose, I have no clue). I had to politely decline that offer and explain that I was calling Mazda corporate because my warranty was issued by Mazda corporate, and I needed them to either explain why any repair wouldn't be covered or to tell the dealership they were wrong. After making this clear, the phone rep was able to confirm that my repairs should have been covered, so she called Rich Morton's service dept to get things straight. When I called back Rich Morton to express my dismay, they acted like they had uncovered something huge and that they had good news about my repairs being covered. This was absolutely NOT news to me, as I am the one who called Mazda corporate to get it all figured out. So four days and a lot of wasted hours later, I was where I thought I'd be at the end of the day Friday. For my troubles? They knocked a measly $40 off. They literally told me that if they were to give more of a discount that it would come of out the service technician's paycheck, which is either total b.s. or a totally illegal and unfair business practice. read more

Was nice but they tried to get me to pay 12.5 k for a car only worth at market value 8.6k. A 4 k markup on fees even with taxes I was expecting around 9.5k and felt like they were trying to make me over pay as I am young and new to buying cars. over all not a Terrible experience but wouldn't recommend them when looking for a used car or the inexperienced car buyer. read more

Attempted an internet E Price bait and switch on me today. I had purchased two vehicles there in the past, but I'll never go back after today's experience. I filled out a form on their website that promised me a locked in E Price in a Mazda 6 at $25,363 - When we got to crunching the numbers it went up to 30K and it was explained to me that I didn't qualify for any of the discounts but how could they know... They never asked any questions relevant to that. Regardless, there is no fine print on the site, it said my price was "locked in" I had a screen cap on it and they didn't want to honor their own website. I initially rated them 5 stars, but experienced some hassle trying to get the car registered in New Jersey after I purchased it so I am revising the review down to 3 stars. First my initial review: Purchased a 2017 Mazda 3 from them last week. Saw the car on eBay and put in a bid along with my contact information. They called back within a few minutes and we pretty easily settled on a price. Gave a deposit over the phone with a credit card a few minutes later. I then took the train down from NJ to the BWI Airport stop and it was a 10 minute Lyft ride from there to the dealer. I worked with Bill and he was very responsive and easy to deal with. The car was very nice and exactly as described. I was in the dealership for about an hour over all; I think the out-of-state New Jersey registration paperwork took them a little bit more time to get together. The price was right and they came through in the end so I'd definitely do business with them again. THEN THE UPDATE: After a month went by and I still hadn't gotten my plates, registration or title, I had to send multiple emails to the Bill (sales rep). At first he tried to tell me that it takes up to 5 weeks for NJ to respond to a registration. Since most people register cars in New Jersey IN ONE SITTING at the DMV I know this wasn't true. I persisted and finally he gave me the information of someone else at Rich Morton to call. This person finally admitted that the state of NJ sent back the paperwork from NJ back to Maryland because it needed to be filed in the same county where I live. I am not sure if this is even true because as far as I know, NJ has no such restriction. I also don't really know why it took 5 weeks and repeated followup FROM ME to get this information straightened out. So, the registration paperwork was re-sent to the DMV in East Orange which is in the same county that I live in. I went to that DMV and they did indeed have the paperwork. HOWEVER, the check to cover the registration fees and taxes was written for the wrong amount! As a result the DMV could not cash the check. I had to pay the registration and fees myself. After this slightly annoying experience, I called Rich Morton again and they agreed to re-imburse me the money that I had to pay at DMV, since I had already paid them the money. So overall it was still the right car at the right price. However, the lack of responsiveness and multiple mistakes in the paperwork has made this a bit more of a hassle than it had to be. If you are buying a car from Rich Morton from out of state, don't expect things to go too smoothly. I'm still glad I bought the car from them, but am pretty frustrated by the comedy of errors in getting the car registered. read more

I bought a used car over 5 years ago. The purchase included free oil rotations & tire rotations for as long as I owned the car. Even with an appointment, the oil changes could take longer than 2 hours. Annoying but still free. The last time I brought the car in for an oil change, a service advisor told me that I needed front & rear brake pads and rotors and quoted me a price of $1,200 + taxes. He also told me I would lose my free oil changes if I had the car repaired anywhere else. This was the 1st I had heard of this in over 5 years of oil changes (several of which included estimates for other recommended services, including tires, that I had completed elsewhere). While waiting for my car to be finished up, I called 2 local, highly yelp rated brake repair shops and was given estimates around $600. I ended up paying less than $600 for the complete job. Less than half of the price quoted by the dealership. I will never visit this dealership again. read more

I had a similar bad experience getting out-of-state tags as other reviewers. Months of excuses about how slow Delaware was, other information needed, etc. Then, finally, they told us so much time had passed we had to get new driver's licenses. I told them to send all the paperwork to us and we'd do it ourselves, but we needed one more temporary tag extension. Then the title department ghosted us. Our salesman at the last minute responded that the title department had told us we couldn't get another tag extension, which wasn't true. The general manager said it was our fault. Anyway, had to interrupt a trip to go to the DMV. Had permanent tags in less than 20 minutes. No driver's license required. Save yourself the massive frustration and do it yourself. Or buy somewhere else. The car is great. read more

Sold me a lemon of a car. 2015 Mazda 3. Have had nothing but problems with this car and constant issues that have required days of service. Every time it goes in for service they find "new" issues that are the same issues it's been in for before and yet they've no record of it. I will never buy a Mazda again and never deal with this dealership. read more

I called the dealership at 9 AM in the morning and specifically arranged to test drive a used classic car. I told them I was driving 100 miles in one direction to get to them. I had 10 text messages with the salesman during my travels to the dealership. Upon arrival I found out that the car would not start and could not be worked on and so I could not test drive the car even though I have been told I would be able to test drive the car. I drove 200 miles total and wasted five hours of my day to not be able to test drive a car even though the dealership knew six hours in advance that I was coming and exactly which car I wanted to test drive. It was incredibly disappointing and no one seem to care. Very surprising way to treat a customer they where trying to get to spend $50,000 on a 40 year old car. read more
