The doro wat (chicken stew), as well as many of their other main courses, come with a bed of injera (soft, sour, spongy bread/wrap) as well as three separate rolls of injera as well. It's the national dish of Ethiopia for a reason! The plating was aesthetic and clean. Their honey wine is also very good, despite me not being a wine drinker. Ambiance: 4/5. Nice moody interior lighting, with an average noise level. Some of the tables, although unique in shape (looked like irregular non circular cross sections of a log) did not offer much surface area for their large dishes. There are plenty of cutouts of Ethiopian newspapers and posters along the walls which make for a more immersive experience as well. Service: 5/5. Our server was dressed nice and was very friendly. She offered our table good recommendations, was timely with checking up on us and bringing the bill, and made sure our food came at the same time. Value: 5/5. Despite most menu items costing around the $20 range, it will comfortably feed one and a half people each. Last time I came here, we got a large sampler platter with about ten items on the plate, costing $60 ish, which comfortably fed a group of five. However, after getting repeated negative feedback from passengers, I decided to visit the restaurant myself after a long time to see what had changed. The moment I opened the door, I was hit by intense heat that felt like a desert. The restaurant had a noticeable, uncomfortable odor due to the lack of proper air conditioning. They were relying on large fans instead, which created so much noise that you couldn't even enjoy the background music. The seating was equally poor. The chairs were worn down, sunken, and very uncomfortable. Visually, the dining area was cluttered with excessive hanging fabrics, making it feel more like a textile store than a clean, welcoming restaurant. I decided to try the food and ordered the Awaze Lamb Tibs in another section of the dining room. The dish was extremely greasy and soaked in oil. The side vegetables served with it were bruised, unappetizing, and inedible. Despite being hungry, I could only manage to pick out a few pieces of meat, leaving the rest. The high prices do not match the poor quality of the food or the environment. Until they fix the air conditioning, clean up the cluttered decor to allow proper airflow, and overhaul their food quality and customer comfort, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues, but I will not be returning until major changes are made.

It was sooooo good that I've been bragging about this place ever since! The restaurant itself is very beautifully and tastefully laid out. The service was great! Also being two Asian females apparently attracted some attention because gentlemen from a different table tried to pay for our drinks and they were very curious where we were from.
