The doro wat (chicken stew), as well as many of their other main courses, come with a bed of injera (soft, sour, spongy bread/wrap) as well as three separate rolls of injera as well. It's the national dish of Ethiopia for a reason! The plating was aesthetic and clean. Their honey wine is also very good, despite me not being a wine drinker. Ambiance: 4/5. Nice moody interior lighting, with an average noise level. Some of the tables, although unique in shape (looked like irregular non circular cross sections of a log) did not offer much surface area for their large dishes. There are plenty of cutouts of Ethiopian newspapers and posters along the walls which make for a more immersive experience as well. Service: 5/5. Our server was dressed nice and was very friendly. She offered our table good recommendations, was timely with checking up on us and bringing the bill, and made sure our food came at the same time. Value: 5/5. Despite most menu items costing around the $20 range, it will comfortably feed one and a half people each. Last time I came here, we got a large sampler platter with about ten items on the plate, costing $60 ish, which comfortably fed a group of five. When walking in I was amazed at all of the products that she had in her shop. She had all the spices, and also had fresh injera which is hard to find. It was soft spongy and very flavorful. She also was very helpful on letting me know how to store it so it will keep longer.. They also had dresses., shirts and throws.
