I've always enjoyed donuts and cakes from all the Adrienne locations. Today we had donuts and tried the take and bake pulled pork meal. so much food. Each bite was delicious and plenty of leftovers. The bunny sugar cookies are worth fighting over. A+ pulled pork, fresh bread, pasta salad, potato salad, sugar cookies and a 2 liter of soda. I didn't find anything to rave about here. I like that they're open late. They looked closed when we arrived. The lights inside were low and there were no cars or people. There aren't any people out front but the open light was on. We went inside and someone came out from the back. The pastries are pretty. For me it's what's under the icing that counts. The cupcake wasn't fresh. It was previously frozen and still cold when I first tried it. After going back to it, I kept tasting a burnt flavor and not much strawberry flavor. I removed the icing and found it to be overcooked. It's more of a dense cake. The icing isn't bad. I've had the sweeter denser icings and the light whipy icings. This is pretty much in the middle. There is a white creme inside, just like you'd find in a hostess cake. The jelly doughnut with powder was okay. I just wish it was fresher and had a little more filling. The long John doughnut was pretty tasty. Sometimes on other long johns the filling doesn't quite make it to the other side. This one seemed to be filled on both ends. Lots of donuts, Long John's are amazingly tasty with a nice custard fill, so long it does not reach the middle. Cheesecakes in the case with equally good looking plus cakes to try at a later date. I pass Adrienne & Co nearly every day and I finally decided to stop in. I've been missing out!! I had the red velvet, glaze, and double dipped doughnuts. All were great! The glaze was nice and airy with just the right amount of sweet. The red velvet was what you'd expect from a red velvet, dense with a cream cheese drizzle. Lastly the double dip was a glaze doughnut with chocolate icing. It was the least favorite of the three but good none the less. I'll definitely be returning when I get that craving. The people at Adrienne's are SO nice! They are patient with my grandson and me when we are selecting the doughnuts we want - always such an array of choices! My new favorite is Maple Bacon. Yummy! I would have given five stars, but a year ago I bought a box of assorted doughnuts to take to the hospital when my grandson was ill. This a wonderful local bakery! However, this is my third visit to this location to get their delicious Apple Fritters, only to find once again they didn't have! Again, told the "Apple Fritters were not available right now"... one of their popular items. Anyway, didn't go away without getting a blueberry donut and chocolate filled custard longs. This location is on highway 150, with parking. I was early, 6:25am, Saturday, not crowded, a couple of ladies picking up treats for a ball game. I will be back to try and get those apple fritters but plan to call first! read more
