I was excited to see a parlor doughnuts! Especially since I am familiar with their coffee and donuts. However this location was completely overwhelmed and couldn't handle the Saturday morning rush apparently. They have a drive thru and with only one car ahead they made me wait at the window to order for almost 5 mins. It made no sense to me so I decided to just go inside and place my order! I ordered the honey cinnamon cold brew but once I realized she was just pouring it out of a bottle, I immediately knew my coffee was going to taste nasty! I usually don't order cold brew but I just imagined like any other place it wouldn't be poured out of a store brought bottle?! It tasted absolutely disgusting. I didn't feel like going back inside to tell her and get a refund. So I just drove to 7Brew and got my usual! Never again. read more

I still think they should call this Parlor Pastries. The donuts are more like flaky croissants smothered in the flavored toppings. A stop here is a special treat. But I feel the service is starting to slip. First, many of the donuts weren't available. I asked for a seasonal blueberry cheesecake. In the past, someone would offer to make the flavor for you. And, with one clerk handling the register, a large group took all of her attention. So, I wasn't greeted and felt ignored. A simple, "I'll be with you asap" would have worked wonders. There was a second staffer, but she worked the drive through. And when the car left, rather than offering to help, she retreated to the back of the store. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to get donuts. Step up the service and we're back to a 5 star review. The produce is that good. And yes, worth the wait. read more

I often feel annoying about that stuff and scared to approach but they were so sweet and made my Birthday! Even put a cute little note on it. PD has a charming ambiance inside. Definitely a place to meet someone or just get a little work done on your laptop or notepad. Being my first visit, I found the employees quite hospitable upon arrival, taking my order and departing. I ordered the French Toast and Strawberry Shortcake donuts since I was told they were the #1 and #2 best sellers. They come boxed and a small sized menu added. The donuts are above average size and have a delightful aroma and taste. I was very pleased with my offerings and trust I will return to try something else and possibly a beverage. There were several customers dining when I arrived and several more came in by the time I departed. This might be my new favorite donut place in the area! Their donuts are so unique and delicious. They have tons of flavors. They even have gluten free, keto, vegan, and dog donuts. The atmosphere is super cute and inviting. I love the vibes. They even have a drive thru which is great!! In addition to their donuts, I tried avocado toast and an acai bowl. Both were fantastic! They use tajin on their avocado toast so it gives it an interesting flavor--I loved it. All the workers were super friendly and attentive. Oh the doughnut, such an American staple and one that has been apart of American culture for many, many decades. Finding a good doughnut can really be tough at times unless you're like me and don't mind an original glazed here and there but what makes doughnuts so unique is the maker and how even something as simple as an original glazed doughnut can even have a vast taste and texture at many different places. Parlor Doughnuts definitely has their unique spin on doughnuts and more particularly, what they call a layered doughnut. These are not at all your typical doughnut but more so like a small little meal. Parlor has a very nice variety of layered doughnuts all each with their own various toppings that set them apart from each other. From the french toast doughnut topped with powdered sugar to the maple bacon with little bacon pieces and many others, you shouldn't have any issues finding a doughnut that you'll be pleased with. On this particular visit with my wife I tried their campfire, topped with chocolate glaze, graham crackers crust and marshmallows and a strawberry shortcake topped with strawberries, strawberry glaze, whipped cream and graham cracker crust sprinkled on top. Both doughnuts were extremely tasty and absolutely were satisfying to my taste buds. The best part is that one doughnut here is more than enough to eat so I'd recommend taking a few bit try but don't expect to eat more than one as they are filling. What makes these doughnuts also unique is that they have that fried crisp to them but are soft inside. They do offer cream filled doughnuts as well in a different case but I have yet to try them. Parlor also has keto, vegan and gluten free options as well for those that have a need for them. The service here at Parlor Doughnuts was very pleasant with the staff being more than willing to let you know all about their doughnuts and also about each individual donut as well. They also will gladly tell you which ones they prefer and have enjoyed and were all extremely helpful. As far as the environment goes, it's a very laid-back and casual place, a bit like that you'd find at a coffee shop. No TVs, no loud music, just really an overall chill place. Parlor Doughnuts also serves up some other breakfast items such as breakfast tacos and more if doughnuts are not your thing but I highly recommend coming here for them. With that being said, Parlor Doughnuts is my new favorite doughnut shop and one that I will be frequenting quite often. I also highly recommend coming here and before you do, make sure to sign up for their app as you'll get a free $5 off coupon (at least as of this review being posted) so that way you can get your first doughnut for free. So do yourself a favor and stop in, give Parlor Doughnuts a try as I firmly believe you won't regret it. read more

This is the only place in town (that I know of) I can get a vegan donut that I'll actually eat. My barista made me a smashing lavender vanilla London fog with oat milk. Today was my second time at Parlor Doughnuts and it was just as amazing as the first time. Everyone is friendly and helpful, the store is clean, tidy, and spacious. I first came in the day after they opened, picking up orders and my husband and myself made through the app. I ordered a gluten-free Blueberry Hill, which is a vanilla cake doughnut with bits of blueberries inside and blueberry glaze. I loved the flavor and density, and the size was perfect. I also had a chorizo breakfast taco with added avocado and it was probably the best breakfast taco I've ever had. Egg, cheese, choice of chorizo, bacon, or avocado on a corn tortilla. To add any of those choices is only 50 cents more. They sell them as a pair for $6.95 or individually for $3.50. Today I went back with my husband and we ordered their famous layered doughnuts. Campfire for hubby, Strawberry Shortcake for myself. Way larger than I thought they would be. Next time, I would probably cut mine in half as it was quite rich for me. The layered doughnut was my favorite of the two I've had- it tasted like the fried biscuits I used to get a little local restaurant back home when I was a kid. The perfect chewy texture inside and crispy texture outside. Will definitely be making this a frequent breakfast stop. I'm so happy we have a Parlor location close to Louisville now. The best croissant doughnut ever. I tried the turtle and strawberry shortcake doughnut. I went closer to closing time, there was no wait, and they put the toppings on the doughnut while I was waiting. I came in here for a DoorDash order. And honestly, I looked at the food and it looked good. I wanted to take some home for me and my wife after I would finish this order. Instead of going straight to pick up. I got in line. There is only one person ahead of me, the person put in their order , and then it was my turn. I was not acknowledged. Not even "please wait"or "will be with you", "One moment". the workers proceeded to have conversations in front of me completely. Ignore me, so I stepped out of blind and waited for my order. There were people behind me, that did not get attended for more than 15 minutes. I got there at 2:24 and did not get my order till 245. Decided to to try a maple keto doughnut which is actually a cake doughnut that apparently is prepared (possibly elsewhere), frozen, and served as needed (and was still partially frozen).
