The cleaning up of the nail beds and cuticles and the massage were incredibly thorough. So when I needed to have dip powder taken off, I trusted this salon to do it properly. They did not. Despite me asking for my nails to be soaked (because sometimes the drill is a little overzealous) and the technician agreeing to do that, instead she used the drill file. At first I thought she was just roughing up the top layer before doing the soaking, but she kept going and pretty much tore up my finger nails, which are now split and peeling and will have to grow out. That's on me as I should have stopped her. But I trusted her to know what she was doing given my past experience. I will not be returning.

Despite my efforts to be conversant, he was non-communicative, indicating what I should do only by moving my feet and hands in the desired direction. His service was quick and perfunctory, while paying little attention to the callouses on my feet. This same technician suddenly found his voice when checking us out, however, and informing us what we owed the salon. When I got home and inspected my "manicure", all my cuticles were ragged. I hope you have a better experience if you go. We will not be returning to Kim's.

The wait wasn't long (but I was there in the early afternoon on a weekday on an icy, snowy day, when some people may still have been hunkered down indoors), but I'd recommend making a reservation, since they're not a large nail salon and didn't seem to have as many staff members as other nail salons. But it was clean and comfortable, and they were playing great music. My nails look great - shaped perfectly, painted carefully. They took their time to make sure my nails looked great. They were friendly, and they offer plenty of paint options (I had plenty of dip options to choose from). Really a good place for a mani or pedi. I'd be happy to return.

Tom, on the other hand is the reason I will never go back. While I was getting my pedicure, he came over and told me two jokes saying that they weren't dirty. They were exceptionally dirty to me and gross. You don't know me so why are you doing this?? To give you an example... One was a joke about a lesbian and "liquor " if you get the gist. To top it off he sat on the phone and talked very loudly and it was only the three of us in there. I eventually asked if he would mind going outside and that I was trying to relax .
