This is a very nice clean nail salon. I have people are very skilled. I've had my nails done there mostly pedicures for the past year and I've been taking my mother there for at least two years. My mother is 102 years old and they treat her so kindly it's such a pleasant visitnot to mention the beautiful job they do it keeps her happy. Color on nails does not look anything like the color requested from samples. Nail tech was harsh and moved hands/arms roughly. Nails are different shapes on each nail. You can see marks on nails from sander. Cuticles were all cut and bled. An open package of lotion was pulled from a pedicure station of a prior client and used for lotion on my nails appt. LOVE THIS PLACE !!! My niece and I go every 2 weeks for a mani/pedi. I love people and I love to laugh and have fun and they do a great job and make us smile and laugh while we are there. They are all very nice, but we always book with Mai and Tom, who are very knowledgeable and do excellent work. I got there early and he was still with another client, another tech took me back to start soaking off my gel manicure. Tom was very friendly and knowledgeable. UPDATE- Nail broke three days later. She fixed it during my lunch break, but I'm not one to break nails. Used to visit orchid over a decade ago when I was still in high school. I randomly called today because my normal shop in Annapolis was too busy. I called and the man over the phone told me they had color changing polish. When I arrived he showed me their gel selection and I was sat right away. My service was fast and clean. Nothing to write home about. My technician did a gorgeous job on my shape but didn't ask if I wanted a cut down or something different. Now that I think about it, she didn't say much of anything for me never meeting her. Though they have mood polish, the selection was slim and I'm picky about that. Paying in cash (10% discount for services $35+) definitely made them the most affordable around for my service. Will probably stop by again on lunch or after work if I'm in need of a fill since I work in edgewater. Don't see it becoming my regular spot. read more

Never go here!!!They do not know what they're doing. I knew that when I was in the middle of my pedi but was too nice to complain. The couple of things I did say the lady acted as if she could not speak English. I came back to complain in 2 days even though my nails were peeling and breaking bad the same night. I had to work etc so I didn't come back until I had time. My nails and feet were also not the same color of pink and I realized that after I had got home. I came back to nicely tell them that my nails and feet look horrible after only 2 days. The employees then began to yell and lie and say that I messed my nails up, that they were messed up before I let them touch them, that I came in a week ago etc etc At that point I simply asked for a refund of what I paid so that I could go to another shop. They gave some of my money back but not all. One employee then followed me outside to yell and call me a stupid bi**h etc etc she threatened to call the police. Never did. It took me everything to not let this situation escalate even further. I was so mad. I am reporting them to BBB and also FBI for forcing people to pay in cash only which is illegal. I've been to this nail salon several times but my last visit on 7/23 was horrible. Dude did a horrible job on my nails and toes. I made the horrible mistake of tipping him $20 (my service was almost $100). It wasn't until I got home that I took a closer look and the acrylic is too thick, he didn't shape them properly, and the gel polish on my toes were on my cuticles too. Two of my nails broke 3 days later and my gel polish on two of my toe nails have chipped already. Helen did my nails last time and they were amazing. I don't remember the nail tech's name but it was a dude and never ever again will he be asked to do my nails. The design was half ass too. I should've waited until he was done before tipping him. Also, you are NEVER supposed to clip the corners of toe nails. That's how ingrown nails happen. read more

This nail salon, by far, is one of the WORST I've been to. I was a walk-in customer (since my regular nail salon had no available appointments and I needed my nails done ASAP), having seen this salon when shopping at the Giant grocery store in the same shopping center. I figured it had to be "good" if it was in that particular location. First mistake. Make no assumptions! The woman who did my nails was obviously incompetent. First of all, she tried to dremel off the gel polish I had on my nails....when that process was burning my nail bed from the heat of the dremel so much that I couldn't take it anymore, she then took cuticle scissors and began ripping off the gel polish - taking sheaths of my nail with it. I told her she needed to soak the gel polish off....which she reluctantly did. Then came the nail tip application. Dear Lord....I had globs of acrylic on my cuticles, under the nail tip, and even on my fingers!! She then tries to file the globs down and cut the excess off, which led to my flesh being literally gouged and sliced from not just one, but THREE fingers! I'm talking blood here, folks. Cuts and missing skin! After the torture I told her to simply paint clear gel on the misshapen nails so I could get the hell out of there. I'd really think twice before choosing this salon, if I were you. As in, DON'T GO THERE! read more

She then kept looking at them and I asked if something was wrong and she just shook her head. Went here this past Monday to get my nails done for a boudoir photo shoot for my husbands 30th birthday. I had previously went to another salon for Halloween nails but needed something simple and sexy, so while I was out running errands in Annapolis I stopped here Instead of my normal place. Helen helped me, I walked in and she sat me right down and I was out in about 30 minutes. She didn't talk to me really at all but that was cool. There are two people at this salon I would recommend because I have had services from both. One is Michael and he is very good. The other is the owner Jenny. Their pedicures last which is one of the reasons I like them. However, I had a pedi from another guy in the salon (I think the only other one) and it was the absolute worst I have ever had. I have mixed emotions about recommending because they all should be good. Their prices are high and they rarely have specials that work unless you're planning on spending over $75. A mani and a pedi are never that high. Michael is good, though. I would recommend him especially for gel nails and other artificial nails. Whatever they tell you about them not ruining your own nails when you ultimately take them off is absolute rubbish. Thanks! read more

Don't waste your time. The first time that I went a male did my manicure, I didn't get polish and it was great, well worth the money. The second time that I went for a manicure an old asian woman did my nails within 12 minutes. I kept looking at my cuticles thinking that she did not do a good job. I went in for a pedicure, waited about 15 minutes. Someone showed me to the foot bathing chairs, where I sat waiting another 15 minutes. I would have left since nobody even so much as looked in my direction to say "5 more minutes" or "we will be right with you, thanks for waiting" but my feet were soaked. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago because I wanted to get a mani/pedi before I went on vacation. I selected the package that I wanted and was immediately urged to do the upgrade because it's only $5 more. Okay, fine. Let's do the upgrade. Then I was asked if I wanted to get the hot stone massage because it's only $5 more. I said no thanks. For my manicure, did I want to upgrade the get the Shellac(?) and I told her that I didn't. I really just wanted to get a nice manicure and pedicure and nothing else. While I was getting the pedicure, the technician gave me the massage while using the sugar scrub instead of doing this during the moisturizing part. I had to tell her to stop because she was scrubbing the skin off my legs and it was burning. My legs burned for two days afterward. Why in the world would you massage someone's legs for several minutes while using a sugar scrub?! Finally, I'm not sure what she used as a top coat on my fingernails, but whatever it was reacted horribly with the sunscreen lotion I used on vacation and turned them into a gummy mess. This didn't happen with my toenails. I will not return to this place because: --It was expensive for what I received --The sugar scrub massage incident was weird --Constantly being up-sold to something more expensive --They are stingy with nail polish. She barely had enough to finish my pedicure and I had to remind her to put more than one coat on. She then went and put something in it to thicken it up rather than open a new bottle.
