Every time I come here I have an amazing experience! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. I am always impressed with the quality of the nails; they last much longer than when I've been to any other salon, with no chipping for weeks when I get gel. He did not seem happy about that, but he did go back and cut my cuticles. I went back the next week to get gel polish. I want polish on my nails, not my fingers. Best of Annapolis? I don't think so... I called this salon for two days to get an appt to have my nails done for my wedding. The phone rang through each time. I decided to just go because they say that they take walk ins... I came at an off time (Tuesday at 4:30). The woman at the front very quickly said they don't have any appointments left for the evening. I showed the woman my outgoing calls and she made no effort to help get me in. Certainly a place that doesn't answer thier phone, doesn't take walk ins and makes no effort to book me another time cannot be "Best Of". Take your buisiness to another place! read more

As a walk in, the greeting we received was rude. We were disregarded as we were told there was no time for walk ins. The employer then went to sit down as we wanted to schedule an appointment. We left, and went to Kay's nails and spa on Solomons Island Road, where we were greeted in a professional manner and took walk-ins although very busy. Kay's also offers a great atmosphere. We will continue with Kay's. read more

I am heartbroken to have fallen in love with this place as I was moving away from the area. I had been before for Pedicures but this time I recieved a pedi and a fill. Cindy and her team go above and beyond to make their clients feel at home. They are courteous of time too, even coming to the pedi station to begin my fill. Cindy is an artist and truly believes in the products she sells and uses. From the lotions, oils, scrubs, to colors, dips, and powders- she knows her stuff and she is a master with nail shaping. I'm usually obsessive with my medium length coffin nails. I want them a bit wide at the top, natural but square. I didnt even have to give Cindy directions-she just knew!! She was great about even asking if they were too thick or not!! No knicks or cuts during the experience either. She was amazing and seemed just as obsessed with getting my hands perfect. The shop is small but mighty. You would be best to make an appointment if you want something beyond a simple manicure/pedicure. The shop can also do it all, dip, cat eye, chrome, design, et al, but with the quiet suburban town, they usually do nudes. Prices were on market. Parking is easy. I loved the shop and I'm excited to have a place to run away too when I visit my parents back home. read more

I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I will not be coming back. This was my first time getting my nails done since COVID started and was very disappointed. The man who did my SNS was very friendly but he did not do a good job. My nails had ridges in them, sticky stuff on my cuticles, and they started lifting less then a week later. My pedicure was nice except the fact the polish that was used, was clearly old and turned to a yucky color a few days later. I also got an eyebrow wax which turned out great. I spent $110 which is very expensive for all 3. Again I really wanted to like this place as it's so convenient for me but If I'm spending that kind of money on my nails they need to look it. What an amazing experience I had at Avalon Nails! The entire team was so welcoming and friendly! Treated my like family! I received from Danny (the owner) the very best manicure I've ever had in my whole life! He shaped my nails perfectly based off my occupation, added acrylic and gel polish with not one ridge! I'm a picker so this was very important to me. I was unable to go back for a full month and my manicure looked exactly like it did the day he gave it to me except for being grown out! Even my husband commented on the fact that they still looked so nice and that I had not picked at them :) I've gone back once more and was treated the exact same way. Just went to go get a quick French mani and it was the perfect spot to go for a drop in. As a first time customer, I can definitely see myself coming back again. It was decent inside, wouldn't say i was impressed by the interior or quality of it (reason for 4 stars) but the staff was very pleasant and the $20 mani was awesome. read more

I can't say enough good things about this salon! I showed up and they had the capacity to take me right away. The gentleman who did my manicure was gentle, attentive to detail, and very friendly. i've been here 3 times and EVERY time i get either gel nails, acrylics or a pedicure it SUCKS. when i got my gels done there not even one day after while literally sitting at home a few started to lift, however i thought maybe it was my fault, maybe i banged something into them, so i let it go. a little while later i go back and get a pedicure and they did a good job but then again it didn't last very long before they started to chip. and finally in this past May i got acrylics there and they were done way too thin and they felt like the plastic ones you buy from the store and glue on yourself. being that they were so thin they lifted within the first week of having them and... yep you guessed it two of them snapped right off. wish i could give them zero stars. read more

My first time visiting Avalon was a great experience. I arrived shortly after they opened, not having an appointment, they took me back right away. I found all the workers busy cleaning the foot tubs, wiping down the massage chairs, and cleaning everything to the point that everything was sparkling. My pedicure massage was fabulous and such a stress relief. The gel polish was completed to my satisfaction and I will most likely return for my next pedicure. read more

Do not get the dip manicure, as it was quite possibly the worst manicure I have ever received. Not only did the technician have no idea what she was doing, she actually cut my finger while in the process of filing. If you are going to charge 65$(plus tip) for a gel mani and spa pedicure, at least have staff that can do a decent job. I spent almost 3 hrs. in this nail salon receiving below average services. The nail technician who did my nails(mani and pedi) was not ready, or properly trained to provide these services. I think that reflects poorly on management as they are the ones who should be assuring their employees are adequately trained. The owner and/or manager was beyond rude- when she realized I was not happy with my nails not only was she demeaning towards the nail technician, she was impolite towards me-very unprofessional.
