I've reviewed a year or so ago what's basically the same place under the Historic Taos Inn. I'm not sure why they have a separate yelp page but also the Adobe Bar section is separate off from the rest of the Inn (yet still connected) so that may be the reason. I'm unsure if the food menu is the exact same; that leaves some mystery to be determined in the future. But anyway, we were basically stranded with nowhere to eat and nothing to eat when we first got into town and my boyfriend's father thankfully offered to drive us into downtown for some grub. They have great beers on tap and in can. I think I had a seasonal cider and a good ole favorite stand by when I'm in town - the Santa Fe nut brown. I ordered the enchilada platter with chicken in red chile sauce. It comes with beans and spanish rice and is covered in cheese in blue corn tortillas. There was something about it. I'm not sure what but I wasn't digging my meal as much as the first time I came last year and I think I had a brisket burrito of sorts then. The food was kind of mediocre but not terrible and my boyfriend that ordered the same thing agreed. The music was a little loud but that's because it was an open mic and really depends on the performer. The place is really cool and always packed. The back seating since the front was full was also rather pleasant.

What a great space for sitting and talking.

This review is only for the bar. It is really a great space; perfect for hanging out and talking. Drinks were fine. Service was indifferent. The music was pretty good. The space makes up for the shortfalls. Actually would make me consider staying at the hotel!

Amazing food. Shared the nachos, salad and fajitas with 3 other people and it was the perfect amount of food. Service was prompt and friendly.

It's a very small little bar tucked in the lobby of the Historic Taos Inn. The bar itself is only 8-10 seats but it opens up into the lobby where there is ample seating and live music every night. There's also a fireplace and the old city well in the center that has been converted into a fountain. Very nice spot within the hotel to enjoy a drink and relax.

Este lugar es de los más hermosos que he visitado. La calidad de la comida es estupenda. La atención es increíble. Diría que lo que más me gustó de este lugar fue la margarita Spicy con chile del desierto de Chihuahua.

Many different types of margaritas. You could have a different one every day for a few weeks. They are good too.

We weren't staying at the Taos Inn but decided to come here for dinner and margs after a local's recommendation.

It was Bernice who made this place special…read more We wanted chili but had to switch to Sagebrush because we got to Taos after many places closed. But Bernice's welcome, kindness and excellent service made all the difference. She gave us a taste of Scottish beer to make sure we liked it. We did. She gave us a taste of green and red chili, which I guess is what Taos means is chili--not the bowl of meat and beans we had in mind. So at 8:30pm, we settled for a loaded baked potato, and black beans & roasted corn, and carrot cake. They were tasty but the corn and beans had the dreaded Canola. Bernice completely understood our avoidance of the "bad" oils. We minimized it on just the one side dish. We were hungry. But please owners, switch to lard! Or butter. It's the trend and you'll get more business. It costs about $.50 a plate more. We"ll pay it. Many will. It was quiet and restful dining. Sagebrush was across the street from our hotel, so we were grateful we had no more driving on an 11 hour day from Flagstaff.

This wine bar is one of those rare places that feels dialed in without trying too hard…read more From the moment you walk in, it's clear the owners built it with intention--not as a trend, but as a space people actually want to stay in. The lighting is warm without being dim, the music sits just right in the background, and nothing feels rushed. It's the kind of place where a quick glass turns into an unplanned long evening. The wine list is thoughtful rather than overwhelming. Instead of chasing hype labels, they focus on balance--clean reds, crisp whites, and a few interesting bottles you probably wouldn't pick on your own but end up loving. The staff doesn't posture or over-explain; they guide you like they actually want you to find something you enjoy, not just something expensive. What really sets it apart, though, are the owners. They're present in the best way--not hovering, not performing, just genuinely engaged. They remember regulars, check in with new guests without interrupting their experience, and clearly care about the small details most places ignore. You can tell they've built a culture where hospitality is personal, not scripted. Food, if they serve it, is simple and well-matched to the wine rather than trying to steal the show. Small plates done right--nothing overcomplicated, nothing wasted. It's the kind of place that makes you realize how many bars are just "fine" by comparison. This one actually has a point of view, and more importantly, it has people behind it who care.

My friends and I had such a fun time visiting the wine bar with all the amazing live music.
