Please save your hard earned money and avoid this place. If I could, I would give it a negative 5 star. Last week, I took my wife's car to get all 4 tires replaced. The car rode smooth, no vibrations whatsoever. The next day, after picking up the car, we noticed that the car was vibrating and was kinda loud. We looked at the paperwork and notice that it said that one of our rear rims was bent, we called the place, left a message, but had no luck. A week later (yesterday), we stopped by and explained the issue to the guy behind the counter, and everything was going ok until their supposedly lead technician came into the picture. Right of the bat, he said that it was impossible that they had were at fault. They took the car for a test drive, and then they blamed the bent rim on the car alignment, which makes no sense. They did offer to replace the rim for $1000.00 Go to like a Firestone instead and avoid this shit hole of place. read more

If only I had read the reviews. My husband picked this place for his MD state inspection and scheduled mine for the next day. Come time for my inspection, it had rained in the morning and at 3pm the ground was still a little damp. Rushing from a Glen Burnie appt to get to Edgewater by 3 did not afford me any good humor when Gomer said they can't do inspections with a tiny bit of rain on the ground. I turned around and walked out saying nothing when he asked if I wanted to come back tomorrow. I don't accept defeat easily though. As I was driving home, I started calling places on the way and the Sunoco on Crain Hwy Bowie told me to come on over and they'd get me in even though they closed at 4. By 4:30, I was driving home with my passed inspection in hand. The roads were miraculously driveable 10 miles west of Edgewater! My Sunoco inspection cost $95.99. My husband's inspection at Admiral cost $110. read more

I let Jerry know when I needed to be gone, and I knew I was asking too much, but he cared enough to make it happen for me, and got me out of there in enough time for me to make my appoinment! not only THAT, but they did my synthetic oil change and tire rotation for $30.00 LESS than the quick oil change place around the corner! I brought my car in for an inspection, and I knew I needed some work on my suspension prior to coming in, spoke with Brian who quote me a price of $3815.39 to get my front and rear suspension fixed. I said I would drop my car off the following Monday giving them a week to order the parts. Monday comes and all the parts were wrong. Then he proceeds to tell me he's going to order the parts from Mercedes' for a Mini Cooper. These people are putting any kind of parts in your car. I don't recommend this place for anything, they definitely don't know what they're doing. read more

This shop is terrific!!! They took in my old 1993 Full size Chevy Blazer, with a locked up engine and replaced with a remanufactured engine and it purrs like a tiger. Eric, my service writer/shop manager was very reassuring. He had all the confidence in being able to do this caliber work without any problem. This was proven correct. My Technician, Lenard, was without any doubt a very seasoned and well trained mechanic. Upon discussing carburetors to custom fit this new remanufactured engine, I knew this was the Tech for the job. As a retired mechanic, I am quite picky about who works on my vehicle. The fact that he did this job seamlessly, with clean lines ,and tidy wiring was impressive to say the least. My old truck has many more miles due to skill of this pro shop. I have never written a review this long but I felt it necessary for those yelp readers to know. Great job guys. Blazer Dave read more

After doing the work on the truck and completing the job, my check engine light is still on. Now they informed me that there were other things wrong with my truck to the tune of approx. $250. Now they were supposed to do an investigation of the car. Now they want me to spend another $119.00 to diagnose what they just corrected. Please stay away from these types of business practices. read more

I am very pleased with this place. I had a problem with my car, which apparently was caused by the tire installation at a shop near my home. While out of town in Edgewater, I had some problems. This shop diagnosed my car very quickly and fixed it promptly and completely. The price was significantly more reasonable than my hometown shop as well. Thank you for a job well done! read more

Admiral Tire always treats me well. I rarely have to make an appointment, I am able to swing in and they can fix what ails my cars. Usually the work takes a couple hours and the price is generally a few dollars cheaper than the quote. I bring both my vehicles here for almost all of their maintenance. They were busy one day and I decided to try Mr. Tire just up the road, which was a huge mistake. Never have had an issue here. One time, they fixed my car, and the problem continued to happen when I got home. I called and they told me to come back and they fixed it same day without an additional charge and even worked past closing time to ensure that it was fixed and done right. I recommend them to everyone. read more

i had a nail in my tire so i stopped by good year to get it fixed and Eric was great. they located the nail and walked me out in the shop to show me where it was then they fixed it in a very timely manner. the only down side was that the chairs in the lobby re not very comfortable and there was not a whole lot of things to do while waiting. maybe they should offer free wifi for there customers read more

Been a customer for years and was satisfied until they caused damage to my vehicle. Since January I have been trying to get satisfaction-it is April. The manager is never available when I call. After emailing his boss in the beginning of April the manager left me a message saying he thought the problem was corrected and they would be glad to fix it. Problem is my email to his boss said it was already fixed and I wanted reimbursement. Since then I have called four times and he is either not there or doesn't take my call. I waited 7 minutes last time. I don't like trashing places but I want to warn you-the work performed was changing a headlight bulb. When I had the cracked grill replaced by someone else he showed me where the headlight had not even been secured in place. read more

Very disapointing recent visit. Replaced 8 spark plugs and plug wires on 2005 Chevy Avalanche for $760. I was out of town and vehicle was barely driveable; manager Eric Rolens took advantage of quote to my son. Certainly a teachable moment for my son. I called and spoke to Eric Rolens and he was not interested in fixing the overcharge. His cost for spark plugs $8.25 each he charged $26.81. Plug wires...his cost $39.54...he charged $118.62. Note: he left his invoice pricing attached to the work order. I called Pep Boys and same job $471. While Eric Rolens is in charge of this location, I can not trust that we will receive a fair price. read more

Took a vehicle here for inspection, they quoted me 1k to complete the work, the next morning I get a call from the owners son (Runs the shop) He ups the quote by another 1200 dollars But because hes a "good guy" he offers me 10% off if I get a goodyear credit card. They also included several items that were not in need of repair and added items to the "Updated quote " which were not on the original inspection fail list. We recently had our tires rotated at this location. They neglected to properly tighten our lug nuts. We were very close to loosing several tires off our SUV while traveling on the interstate. Come to find out we are not the only customers to recently have this problem. They have been terrible to work with while trying to have the damage this caused to our vehicle repaired. The last time I use this shop! They push to sell you a new tire no matter what! I took a punctured tire to be repaired. The puncture hole was less than the "safe-to-repair" industry guidelines of 1/4 inch in diameter. There was no tread separation and no damage to the shoulder. The puncture location was well away from the shoulder (at least 2 and 1/2 inches away from the shoulder). In spite of all this, the first thing that the tech told me when I showed him the tire was that "it was not repairable and I will need a new tire". I said I didn't want a new tire because the puncture was within industry guidelines safety limits. Then I got a phone call saying that "there was chord showing inside" and they would not repair the tire...that I needed to buy a new tire. Of course, they didn't offer to show me that damage. It was an ultimatum: new tire or no repair (and come and get the rim and dismounted tire). Coercive sales under the guise of safety. Horrible! read more

I had a slow leak in a tire that already had a plug in it. I took it to the Goodyear in Edgewater to have fixed. They advised they only did patches from the inside out I thought excellent that works better than plugs. 45 mins. Later I'm told all done we didn't find anything wrong with the tire that will be $45. Thinking they redid the plug with a patch i get in my car and the tire is15 psi over inflated. With in a day tire has lost air again. I look at tire and see the plug I put in is still there. Go back to store and that's when I'm advised state law changed a year ago and they are not allowed to patch a tire that has a plug. That would have been nice to know before dropping $45 to have plug fixed. I could of put money towards a new tire. I completely under stand the law now but they should let you know before you waste your money. read more

I stopped by here with a dented wheel after hitting a pot hole. The staff was extremely friendly and hammered the dent out, and re-inflated the tire, in a manner of seconds. The wheel is like new again and I will come back here when I'm ready for new tires. Thanks guys. read more

The owner, Ben, runs an excellent company! Very clean inside and out and with cars, tires, grease that is one heck of an achievement. Keurig machine offering many selections is just waiting for you to indulge; 2 huge TVs so you can watch your favorite show while your car is being serviced, AC blasting for your comfort. I needed 2 new tires and Ben got on the phone and ordered them and asked me to come back in 3 hours. Sure enough 3 hours later there they were. I walked across the street to Whole Foods to kill some time and when I came back about 30 minutes later my car was in the lot completely serviced. Prices are the best around, by far, I checked; was given a free air pressure gauge for my new tires; mechanic did a terrific job on my car and was quick in addition to being friendly. Now tell me.....what more could you ask for? I felt like family at Edgewater Tire Auto Center and will absolutely go back for whatever I need for my car. They are more than just a tire store they are a FULL SERVICE center (which I did not know). The AAA service man that put the spare on my car highly recommended this place and I am so glad he did. Location is great as Whole Foods across the street and The Brownstone Pancake Factory is next door so there is plenty to do while you wait for your car. I could not have been happier with Ben and his business. read more
