Great service!! There was no wait when i went but definitely check online before going.

When it was recently brought to my attention that my car registration needed to be updated, I realized I also needed to complete an emissions test before I could renew the registration. Needless to say, I wasn't super psyched to have to find time in my already busy days to figure this out, but I sucked it up and searched for the nearest emissions testing and found this place. I headed that way late on a Monday afternoon and was pleased to see that the line was not long, and it moved pretty fast too! I was in and out quickly and luckily my car passed the test. If you're in need of emissions testing, this place is fast, efficient, and the staff is friendly enough too. read more

ADEQ Vehicle Emissions Testing Station - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

They are very quick as there's barely ever a line in which to wait. The entire process takes about 15-20 minutes overall.

The worst people you'll ever deal with. non qualified personal, poor service. find better place.

Did amazing job and very fast with work! Honestly was very good experience I would recommend this place 100% read more

Fast, in and out in less than 10 minutes. Cheap and well $17 and I was out the door with a pass.

Service was fast and simple. Price was only $17. I went on my lunch break with room to spare.

Make sure you're vehicle has reached normal operating temperature before arriving. If there is a long line, turn off the engine. It can cause an emissions test failure on older vehicles that are right on the edge of passing. Apparently it is also wise to have the gas tank more than half full. I have been to this location many times over the years I have lived in the Valley. Employees always seem to be having a good day. The emissions test on newer non-commercial vehicles doesn't take very long. On my most recent visit, I arrived on an early weekday about 20 minutes before closing and was only two cars back. I was done in less than 20 minutes. read more

Vehicle Emissions location curious due to construction but very good service for us twice in month Female Team Lead very responsive & respectable to my 90 yr old Mom. Very Much Appreciated read more

In & out, under 10mins! This is my preferred emmisions location, as there's usually no wait time. If your engine light comes on, you do have to pay $17 for them to tell you the issue. However, that payment will go towards your next test. I definitely recommend this place for the convenience! read more

I was dreading going for my emissions testing. Usually it's slow, the line is long and well, it's one of those things I just put off to the last minute. This time, mid-afternoon on a Saturday, I did an adulting things and when for my emissions testing. I'm not sure if that timing was key or not, but holy moly if I wasn't in and out in the blink of a... signal? Anyway, if you drive, your bound to need to do your testing too, I hope your experience was as painless as mine was. The guy was kind, did his thing and sent me on my way. See ya in 2 years! read more

Very convenient and fast service every time I go just in and out with in minutes located in a quiet area away from traffic very professional staff read more

Went there mid day on a Tuesday and took about 10 minutes total between waiting and testing. Super easy and only cost $17 which isn't too bad. I haven't been to any other locations so I can't compare, but I was surprised by the convenience. My only complaint is the need to do these tests in the first place, but thats no fault of these employees. read more

Quick & easy emissions testing. Went there around 130 on a Wednesday. There were 3 cars ahead of me & I was done in 17 mins. That's a win in my book! The gentleman who did the testing was really sweet and helpful. I'll be back in 2 years. Lol read more

I headed out the the emissions location a few miles away. I arrived and could not figure out how to the back where all the cars were lined up. I noticed a truck arriving at a gate and pulling a paper tag to enter...okay I drove to the gate a grabbed the tag, the gate opened and I drove to one of the two lanes. I thought it would take forever...nope! The line moved quickly and I was a the front now. The people working here are very nice and professional. I left with my paperwork and was very pleased! Thank you! read more

Very sketchy this is the only emissions place that makes you pay before you get results. The employees kept pushing me to pay! "Ok 17bucks" new guy walks in "that's 17bucks!" At all the emissions places I've been you don't pass you don't pay. read more

I had to smog my daughters newly purchased used car and being from California, this was a new experience for me. One, in California, the car must be recently smogged prior to sell and the buyer does not have to smog it until a year after ownership. Two, when you do smog in California the process is slow and expensive. So, when I drove up this ADEQ station, I was at a gasp by the long line upon arrival. Curiously, it dwindled quickly and within 10 minutes it was my turn. Here's where it gets crazy different than in California. I was asked to exit my vehicle and stand in the waiting stall that is COVID friendly. The technician was cheerful and friendly and chatted with me while he did his testing. I think it took like 3 minutes total for him to perform the test which I passed. I paid with Apple Pay from my car and he gave me a print out and off I went. That was it! Freaking amazing. If they only did smog like this in California! I would HIGHLY recommend using this station if you need to get a smog certificate. read more

No lines, but the employees are useless and rude. Heads up, Waiver Facility is closed on Saturday's (not advertised ANYWHERE) and the guys working in the normal emissions side wouldn't even answer a simple question for me or look at something on my car because the Waiver Facility was closed. Worst customer service. Ever heard of courtesy? They haven't. read more

The place is a little hidden off of the main road! But it's super easy to get to and the workers are super friendly. They definitely make sure that they're taking all the precautions to keep you safe and prevent the spread of germs. Initially when you get out of your car, the worker showed me that he's using hand sanitizer on his hands before helping me out of the car and entering the drivers side door. He also had a mask on that he did not take off throughout the entire time I was there. All in all I think I spent a total of maybe 30 minutes and it was super easy to go through! read more

This place made the emissions testing process super convenient! They even have a website where you can view the wait time. I was a little nervous about having to get my car emission tested just because it was my first time going through the process in Arizona and I didn't know exactly what to expect - but it was surprisingly easy. I was literally in and out of this place in less than 10 minutes! It also cost under $20. By the time I got home, the system allowed me to renew my vehicle registration online. Yay for efficiency and making annoying life tasks easier! read more

Let's face it, no one and I mean no one wants to go take the car in for emissions testing. It takes time out of your day, costs money, and makes you nervous that you might have something wrong with you car which seems just fine to you. Unfortunately part of owning a car is taking it in for testing and this place makes it as painless as it is possible to be. The location is easy to find and easy to get into. Once you take your ticket and get in line the process goes pretty fast. I have never had to wait longer than 15 minutes and the guys working the tests get the job done quickly. The staff is very friendly and makes the process easy and comfortable. They tell you just what to do and where to be, test your car, take your money, give you a print out, and send you on your way. It wasn't fun but it was painless and easy, and this is the place to go! read more

Only waited 10 mins. Staff was quick & thorough with inspection. Will return to this location in the future.

My visit was so fast! It took me more time to drive here than wait/get inspected. I hopped on over per DMV guidance. (I didn't realize you could check wait times online.) Although there were only two lanes open my entire visit clocked in at 5 minutes. No joke! The employees are on top of their game and super pleasant. $20 bucks for cars. Checks are accepted (provided your name and address match state identification). When you pull into the testing area have everything unplugged. Leave the keys in and the car running. Hop out of the car. You probably won't even have time to check Facebook. Have payment ready. (Don't be that fool fumbling around!) I pulled into the "Full Service Lane" all vehicles inspected (the only open options). The "Express Lane" is for 1996 and newer cars. (Pay attention! The staff pulled cars out of the general line while I was there.) The website for all things DMV is www.servicearizona.com ADEQ Emission waiting times are here http://www.myazcar.com/ read more

Let's face it... who wants to go to the emissions test center and wait in line? After all, it does ADD a task to renewing a car's registration. And who wants to deal with the DMV. Oh, me, of course. alas, visiting the emissions test centers in AZ is something that us folks with 5+year old cars must do every couple of years. Here is my take on this particular station in a quick and down and dirty review that should help you figure things out. #1. Check the website to see what the wait time is. #2. READ the signs posted above the bays BEFORE you instinctively decide to take the shorter line. SOMETIMES, the longer line goes faster because it is for cars that are younger than 10 years old. READ the signs first! #3. Be prepared to get out of your car when you pull in to the bay. They need to get in your car to hook up the device that reads your car's computer. BE PREPARED. Have your card ready. #4. Don't wait until the last minute! Go BEFORE your expiration date, like on the 17th of the month or the 10th. I kicked this review down to #3 because the station at 16th street handled a bigger crowd more efficiently. Let's face it, we just want to get the heck outta there and efficiency is much more important to me. The staff was still friendly and operated with fast precision. They know what they are doing. read more

HOT TIP FOR ALL WITH VEHICLES 1996 and NEWER ~~~~ Get in the OBD ONLY line (Lane #1)! The OBD test is the emissions test for vehicles 1996 and newer!! Warren was born in 1997. I found out i could use Lane#1 when I pulled into lane #2 and waited for 30 minutes to finally get up to the bay. Lanes 1 and 3 were cruising. Guess the tech in lane #2 didn't have his go juice that morning last week. Check the website to get up-to-the-minute wait times. read more

I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. It wasn't half the hassle I was imagining it to be (it was my first time). Cost is $27 and some change for regular vehicles. There's a website that shows you up-to-date wait times for all the emission testing stations in the valley. Pretty cool! read more

I get extreme anxiety when it comes to any type of work or check ups on my car. I had a list of errands to run for the day so decided to spot here to get my emissions test completed first. I showed up shortly before 8 am and there were already a few cars in line. 2 lanes were open and the lane I was in was shorter because my car is a 2000. And guess what? I PASSED! Lol. The whole visit was about 15 minutes total. It was completely painless and the lady who helped me was very polite. I love this location and am grateful it is so close. read more
