The outdoor seating is currently available during COVID-19 but with super limited 2 tables. The food options on the menu are various with photos but it was still difficult for us to make decisions without clear English description. We had Beef Tripe Stew ($12) and Bandeja Paisa ($16). The food was decent, especially the extremely tender beef tripe with creamy and soft potato. We didn't recommend the Bandeja Paisa, the pork steak was too dry and the pork belly was too greasy. Their pastries looked great with reasonable price but we didn't have a chance to them try this time. We will plan to have another visit for their brunch and pastries.

We opted to sit outside but what was nice about that is that their walls are made of glass so we could still see inside and people watch while still enjoying the fresh outdoors. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. We told her we ate already and just wanted drinks and maybe dessert. She took our order and we did end up ordering their vanilla flan and their chocolate cake flan. Both were delicious. Later on, I asked our waitress if I can sing and immediately she encourage me to come in and told the DJ which song I wanted and they handed me the mic. The people in the restaurant was awesome as they cheer me on as I sang Vivir mi Vida by Mark Anthony. I definitely would say to give this place a try. Great local restaurant in the neighborhood, where you can have fun without venturing into the city. Love it!

I was able to stop by Veyta's to purchase three different Mexican breads from their pretty large…read morenumber of available options. Concha 2.0/5.0: This classic bread was a bit of a dissapointment, as I expected way more flavor from the craggly and creviced topping which did not have much flavor. The bread itself was a tad bland and dry, the later probably due to me not eating the bread until the following day. Danish style bread (Chamuco) 3.0/5.0: I think this Danish looking bread is probably a Chamuco (after searching the internet), and it was just okay. The small custard filling was decent tasting having a slight creaminess and sweetness, but I wish there was more of it used. The bread itself had a nice eggy (think challah) flavor, but as with the Concha, a tad dry. Again, this could be due to me eating it the following day. Sugar-topped Bread (El Volcan) 5.0/5.0: Searching the internet for Mexican bread descriptions and comparing it to the what I purchased, I believe what I bought was a El Volcan bread. It had a slightly crumbly and dry scone-like texture. Its flavor was quite interesting, too, having a distinct brown sugar like taste, which was contrasted by the topping of white sugar on top. I really enjoyed this bread and would definitely buy it again. Considering the plethora of breads available, Veyta's is certainly worth another visit if I'm in the area.

The special was the pork chop with Gorgonzola cheese and mashed sweet potatoes. I had the grilled steak beef with rice, plantains and lentils. The lentils tasted like my summers in Ecuador. We ordered the Bolon Mixto and the Carne A la Plancha. Both dishes were flavorful especially with their housemade spicy sauce. The restaurant itself is quite small, with limited seating and only a handful of tables and chair. It's not best to go with a large group. One thing to note is that there isn't a restroom available for diners. While the food was great, the service left room for improvement. The staff wasn't that attentive and it didn't feel as welcoming as I hope it would be for a family restaurant. Overall, I was glad to have finally try it out. The food was the highlight.
