The service at Deep India has dropped substantially over the last two years. I am not sure if it is because some of the staff has left and new people brought in, but Deep India has become a shadow of the once great Indian restaurant it use to be. The wait times have become extremely long and the continued lack of any form of air conditioning only compound the frustration of getting a meal (though with the lack of AC I strongly suggest getting it to go). The new staff that takes orders barely speaks English now and requires his coworker to translate orders when confused. While the food continues to be amazing, the lack of basic amenities and continued decline in customer service make this a hard recommendation with so many other places for one's Indian food cravings. read more

Adeep is an excellent takeout option for when you can't be bothered to go out to one of the many good dine-in Indian options nearby. It is practically only takeout, though there are a couple of tables in there if you must (but I wouldn't). My bf and I are working our way through the menu. I find the saag chicken extremely tasty, and a bit healthier than the typical saag paneer. The aloo gobi is not good at all--not sure what is happening with that dish. The bindi masala is also not good--though it is typically too oily for my taste at most restaurants. (Need to make this one at home--super easy with $1 bags of frozen okra at Kroger.) The naan seems very expensive at $3 for plain, but looks absolutely delicious. I know, it's not going to break the bank, but an Adeep order starts to add up quickly. I probably eat from ADeep once a week, mainly because they reliably deliver to my work. My go to are the Chicken Tikka (NOT the chicken tikka masala) or the lamb saag. The spice levels are perfect (I'm usually a 3/6). The garlic and paneer naan are also great. Delivery service is very reliable, and out of the dozens of times I have ordered, I think I've only had 1 or 2 issues with an incorrect order, which would have been not been an issue if I had just repeat what I said over the phone. I love Deep India and regularly order here when I crave Saag Paneer (which is my comfort food. Fried Cheese, what's not to love!) They are definitely flexible, dine-in, carry out or delivery are all perfect options. I normally have mine delivered as East McMillan can be a nightmare with traffic and parking is not usually and option. The food can be a little heavy, especially the cream based sauces, but they are certainly delicious! Portion sizes are very generous, you can share an entrée or save the ready for later. :) (hint- lunch portions are the same size as dinner portions!) I can honestly say when they are busy the wait can be a bit long but O have never had bad service here. I have been enjoying Deep India for about 5 years. My favorite is the chicken tikka masala but I have enjoyed everything I have tried. Theur dishes are creamy and great comfort food. Their naan is always soft and delicious! During lunch time (I think until 3pm) they offer free naan with purchase of a meal! I also enjoy Krishna but mainly go to Deep India because the staff is a lot friendlier. Parking is also a little easier to find near it. They recently repainted so the environment has bright, energetic colors. It is often full of loyal customers. They have timely service but there may be a 15 to 20 min wait, so I would call ahead if you are going during a busy meal time. read more

Thought it seems like most restaurants on this strip don't have air conditioning I really enjoyed my experience at Adeep. This is the best Indian food in Clifton hands down. I would recommend takeout over eating in, but they do have tables for you to sit. Definitely come for lunch because they will give you free garlic naan! I have really enjoyed their paneer saag, chicken makhani, and chicken shahi korma. Deep India is my guiltiest of gluity pleasures! My favorites are the chicken saag and the chicken tikki masala both at a spicy level of 5. I admit, the food is not as good as Ambar, it is a bit greasier, oiler, and not as rich in flavor. The actual restaurant is tiny... they probably have only 5 tables in the entire place. But hey, Deep India has 3 things going for them: 1) they are cheaper than Ambar, 2) their portions are large (usually lasts me two full meals!), and 3) they deliver! I can't count how many times I've been stuck in the library at 9pm studying for an exam and STARVING. All I have to do is make a quick call to Deep India and wah-lah, yummy Indian food appears in front of me in no time! I live an hour and a half away in Kentucky, and anytime I'm near Cincinnati I *have* to eat at Deep India. It's so good I look for an excuse to go to Cincinnati! They have the best Tikka Masala I've ever had. Ever. I've eaten Indian food all over the country and this is my favorite! It's SO flavorful with just the right spices of everything. The naan bread is just as perfect. And the rice. It's just rice, right? No, it's the best. I don't know what makes it so good, but it's so good. The interior is small, hot, and maybe a little a gross. They definitely put all of their focus on the food. I do wish they didn't use styrofoam boxes. Even if you dine in your food comes boiling hot in a styrofoam box. I imagine the toxins leaching out of the container into my food... The only positive way I can look at this is that the portions are huge, and I never have to ask for a to-go box. read more

The food is good, but with so many other choices for Indian in the area I don't think we we will be ordering from there again. I have provided a timeline of our delivery experience to explain why. 8:11- original order placed, I was told it would be there in 50-60 min 9:21- I call the store to ask for an update. They tell me that the driver is on his way. 9:47- The driver calls me, confused, with the wrong address. I correct him. 9:58- The driver calls back, now with the right address, but is lost. He is across the street (maybe 3 min from our apt) so I give him directions. 10:13- I call to check on the driver. He still is sitting across the street. 10:23-Food arrives. However, we are missing part of our order. I call the store and they say it will be out to us in a few minutes. 11:15-The rest of the food arrives, a full 3 hours from ordering, and over 2 hours late. We didn't really want the food by the time it finally got there, and I felt lied to on multiple occasions. Not a great experience. read more

Another Clifton favorite that can be backed by many other Clifton residents and college students. However, I simply love them for their garlic naan! It is so flavorful and will also come with your meal free if you order during lunch. They have a decent amount of seating, but will also do carry-out AND delivery. I've had takeout from Deep India on two occasions now so take this review with a grain of salt as I have never dined in. The dishes are solid, like most Cincinnati Indian restaurants they are definitely Westernized with lighter spicing and more cream, but that being said, they are tasty. I've tried their Lamb Vindaloo, Saag Lamb, Saag Paneer, and Naan. In terms of spice level, if you are a spice junkie then go with their 6/6 spice rating, it is more than manageable for those with a fire palate. read more

This place is great! I think I like the food at Krishna more, but they don't deliver. Deep India is great for when you want really good Indian food but are a little too lazy to leave your house.
