This is a cute little Italian bistro in the middle of Rockland Maine. Abby our server recommended the Papardelle Ragu 4 meat pasta and it was excellent and this coming from a NY Italian food lover. Worth a return visit. Smallish portions but that's ok they also serve family style. read more

Some of the dishes were very good and some were pretty good. Eg sausage funghi pizza was excellent, pesto pasta was pretty good and cannolis were OK. The service was not attentive by reasonable restaurant standards. I had to get up and get my own utensils and pizza toppings, no offer for coke refill, table was not cleared before dessert, an order was not correct and apologies were borderline rude. I actually think it's not a big deal if these things are not perfect. But if you are going to be imperfect then be equitable about it. What was most upsetting was watching our sever give tons of attention to another table next to us - stand there chatting away many times while our party of 8 was mostly ignored. It was also very frustrating that I had to eat pizza on dessert sized plates. The slice hung over the rim on both sides and utensils keep falling off. I wonder if that's how the chef/owner intends the experience to be or if our server didn't care to give us a proper plate because he was so busy fraternizing with the other table. We didn't reduce our tip to the server but we hope management will emphasize to servers that patrons should not feel their service quality is markedly inferior to other diners. read more

A colleague and I took our wives to dinner here during a sales conference recently. The service we received from Michelle was inattentive and frankly she was a bit rude. Given the poor service, I tipped accordingly. I took a photo of the receipt before we left figuring she may round it up, and would't you know it, she did. From $18 to $25. Hope it was worth it Michelle, we will not be returning. read more

Terrible terrible customer service, worst I have ever received! Tonight was my 3rd dinner at Ada's. my first time ever was on New Year's Eve 2021! Every time I've been I've ordered cacio e Pepe! A classic Italian pasta dish and it was delicious. Tonight I noticed it was not on the menu so I asked the waitress if it were possible to have it made. she checked with the chef and he said no problem. when the food arrived, they gave me a pizza and told me that was cacio e Pepe. I said, well that is not what I ordered or expected, cacio e Pepe is a pasta dish. I did not want to wait for another meal as my entire table already had their food so I said I wou just eat it. But it was terrible tasting! the manager came over to inquire the situation and came to tell me that the chef states it has not been on the menu for 4 years so they thought I was talking about the pizza. I never had been here before 2021, so that is a major mistake! The waitress and the manager wanted to argue with me about it. then when the waitress offered boxes for the entire table my sister said yes, she never brought me a box, took my whole pizza away threw it away noticing I had only eaten one slice, and still charged me for the meal and told me they were not going to "budge". I am not one to ever complain, send back food or anything, I worked in the restaurant business for years and I never want to bother anyone. but I also never would have argued with a customer and did what it took within reason to make them happy. and the winithin reason absolutely should have been removing that charge off my bill, and they refused. I paid for something I did not order, hardly ate and didn't even get to take home to give to the dog... bullshit establishment with very poor customer service!!! read more

Food is average standard issue "Italian". The management seems very friendly and customer oriented but our waitress,Nikida, was curt and seemed interested only in "turning the table over". Not a great experience. read more

This is a wonderful restaurant and bar. It is beautifully decorated and a very welcoming place. They had several gluten free options and their gluten free pizza was delicious! My husband and son loved their freshly made pasta as well. Highly recommend. read more

Food was pretty good and fair priced. Sandwiches are served on cutting boards... I got a meatball sub. Well I was eating my sandwich I squeezed a little too hard and a meatball went flying out the one end of the sub bounced on the cutting board than off the table then into my lap... read more

Wife had eggplant parm, very good, I had beef short ribs, flanken style, one piece of tender beef, no bones....fair prices, good service

My family and I tried Ada's last night for the first time and we had an absolutley amazing experience. The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. Our server Matthew was the best waiter any of us have ever had. He was friendly, very pleasurable to talk to and seemed like he truly loved his job. On another note, the pizza was incredible. My cousin and I split a pizza and everything about it was great. I can't rave enough about Ada's. Make sure to stop by, you wont be disappointed. read more

5 stars. Excellent food. Terrific service. Beautiful space. While we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated (and this is exactly how long the host told us we'd have to wait so very accurate), it was worth it. Just gave another restaurant in the area 3 stars so I don't inflate ratings. Go there and enjoy! read more

The bar tender, Stacy, was amazing...worth the visit to sit at happy hour to enjoy the bar climate and superb drinks and conversation. The waiter was also stellar, great service and demeanor. The food was another matter. The differences between al dente and chewy is a fine line but their pasta was definitely on the chewy side. The commercial art hanging by our table looked like when the fat man of wafer thin mint Monty Python fame exploded. Also a safety hazard. The staff were scrubbing the stairs during the diner hour and rather than the sensible cleaning half the stair all the way up and down, she was soaping each stair all the way across, so if u needed to go up or down you had to step over it...good luck for short people, handicapped folks or folks with knee problems. Lack of common sense and safety on that. Cleaning the stairs better left to off hours. read more

Enjoyed the food and the vibe. Didn't like the new 3% surcharge - to tip the kitchen staff we were told. The owners should either raise their prices or add a sticker on the menu explaining the surcharge. That would be better than surprising customers and putting the wait staff in the awkward position of explaining the charge. read more

Quality pizza and pasta in a great locally-owned establishment. Try the diavola pizza and the cacio e Pepe pasta.

The pesto gemelli was absolutely incredible. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce and pecorino on top was great. The pesto pizza was also great, and the cocktails were amazing. Severs were all very kind and friendly and served us outside (at our request) even though the weather was bad. There was a very loud truck parked outside of the restaurant next door for a deep cleaning that was rather disturbing, but not Ada's fault. That restaurant should not be able to do that so early on a weeknight evening while other restaurants are open. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend Ada's. read more

Two hours for 3 pizzas? almost $100 then they got it wrong! To top it off the pizza was not very good. read more

What a wonderful experience! We're out of town and came here after a wedding because it was the only place open and it exceeded expectations. The vibe can only be describe as 'chic' and the whole experience made us wish we lived closer. The staff was so nice, we got an app at the begging and treat at the end on the House by the kindest people. Great selection for drinks at reasonable prices and the pizza was to die for! Would recommend if you're in the area! read more

Mediocre food, Poor service - ignored and waited a long time for food while server chatted and chatted with a neighboring table. Go to In Good Company instead - excellent. read more

This restaurant has reasonable price entrees and great food. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was very professional. I would go back again. read more

We arrived late in town and wanted some takeout for the hotel. This place got it done in a very timely (read quick) time and it was so good. The lemon ricotta pistachio pasta was so good. read more

Found this place while passing through Rockland. The pizza was great and the service was fantastic. We ordered takeout, placing the order over the phone and picking up the pizza outside. They were very accommodating of my request for gluten-free/vegan pizza. Will definitely come back again. read more

New place to eat in Rockland! Started w/ a flight of 4 beers as my guest and I split a prosciutto pizza to die for. Unfortunately, the first date went south, but now I've got a great place to eat! read more

Amazing homemade pappardelle Bolognese. Friendly and attentive staff and great vibes. Highly recommended!

Adas has become a staple in my weekly food rotation. Their delivery service during this strange time has been great. I certainly miss dining in and enjoying the fresh cocktails, Katie of Stacy have concocted or the pomodoro and meatballs, but honestly their margherita pizza is proof well executed simplicity can't be beat! read more

Really enjoyed this place. Lively, fun atmosphere with a nice bar scene and good vibes. The food was great all around. We had some salami antipasti, a salad and 2 pizzas and everything was tasty all around. The portions (especially of the pizza) were bigger than we expected and we left with leftovers for the next day. Service was on point and they had some good wines by the glass and the special beer I had was awesome. If this place were in a larger city, they would have to step up their game a bit (there were small things I thought could be improved) but for small town Maine, I don't think we could have found a better option, which is why I give it 5 stars. Easily the best meal we ate during our week in Maine. read more

Some of the best fresh pasta dishes I've had. Get The Ragu, bucatini, carbonara, calzone & spaghetti meatballs all excellent. Who would've thought great Italian food in Maine?! Wonderful friendly service. Great for groups. Looking forward to going back. read more

I'm only giving this place one star because of the manager. My family and I (family of 6) arrived to the restaurant alittle bit before 7. We proceed to sit in the "lounge" section. We ordered our food and drinks. Then proceeded to wait for an HOUR and 15 minutes before our APPETIZERS came out. The waitress never came to check up on us. Our drinks were never refilled and we only got one basket of bread. After giving them 20 more minutes we finally just canceled our meal. They didn't even give us silverware, we had to ask ourselves! The manager came and talked to us and took our main courses off the bill. The manager handled the situation very well considering the circumstances. If you looking for fast service this place is NOT it. Props to the manger but the service was horrible read more

Ada's Kitchen - Pizza Near Me - Rockland, Maine

Excellent service and food. Handmade pasta was delicious. Will definitely visit again!!!

Great customer service and great pizza! I highly recommend the red+white. Their phone lines are very receptive and service is quick.

Got take out sandwiches for dinner. I had the fresh mozzarella with pesto panini, husband had the meatball panini which said was ok and my daughter got the Italiano which she didn't even finish. They were on the smallish size for the price and came a small handful of terrible chips (flavor was off and they were soggy). Would not order from there again. Im from New York and should have known better than to get Italian food in Maine. LOL read more

Rockland surprised us in the number of great restaurants in the city. Still, over a three day stay, we visited Ada's twice. Good vibes, great bar and beer selection, and tasty food brought us back. Plus, they are open late (ulike a lot of Maine restaurants we found), so we didn't have to be concerned about eating early. read more

This has become one of my favorites. The ambience has to be the first and foremost, it's a relaxing setting with great lighting and overall warm and comfortable feel. The staff have always been friendly and fun. The food and drink top off the experience and keep me and my family and friends going back for more. read more

Drove up from Portland. We had fabulous food and the drinks were delicious. Sat at the bar and had a very sweet bartender who did a great job. We will definitely come back here again. The only thing that was a little off was the decor. We both couldn't figure out the look you were going for. It was a hodgepodge of ??? Definitely didn't match up with the yummy Italian food that was served. read more

Wow, really good Italian. Wife had traditional spaghetti and meatball with pomodoro sauce I had the Farfalle bologanese we ate it all... yummie. The pizza looks scrumptiious. Then it all went downhill. Tried to order tiramisu and cappuccino. Was told cappuccino milk does not froth for whatever reason (spoiled?) then was told tiramisu was fantastic, it was served in a cup, dried out and no coffee flavor or liquor. It sucked. Wife had Madagascar vanilla gelato, it was served as a scoop in a bowl with no biscotti or anything. Dessert ruined the experience. Go for the food, skip dessert. read more

I had the occasion to enjoy not one, but two meals at Ada's Kitchen over the recent Camden International Film Festival. What a treat! Our group likes to share when we go out, so ordered a number of items between four people, affording us the ability to sample so many of the tasty offerings. Over our two visits for dinner, we enjoyed Eggplant Parmigiana, a Caprese and Chopped salad, Pappardelle a Ragu, Spaghetti alla Carbonara, Ravioli del Giorno, Ada's Pasta (an exquisite bucatini dish), a solidly traditional favorite - Spaghetti and Meatballs and also the Funghi e Salsiccia pizza. Add some delicious wine, bread and olives to the mix and we had no real room for dessert either time, but managed to share the chocolate truffles (so worth it). Ada's, and its Italian chef, provided the kind of culinary experience we have had in Italy itself. How wonderful to be able to enjoy this level of Italian cooking in Rockland. Some of the reviews talk about portion sizes. We live overseas and did not blink an eye at the portions offered. Though not the typical overly large portions one commonly finds at restaurants throughout the US, we were well feed and completely satiated by what Ada's Kitchen delivered to our table. If you are looking to gain an extra meal at home from your dinner purchase you probably won't, but you will leave having had a wonderfully authentic Italian dining experience which will not require a doggie bag to claim its value. The vibe at Ada's was great both times we were there, adding to the lovely decor. Thank you and brava Ada's Kitchen, we look forward to visiting again when next in the area. read more

Had dinner there last night. Cocktails, beer and wine were quite good. The appetizers (grilled broccoli and meat balls) were excellent. Dinner (pizza, calzone and especially the eggplant parmigiana) were all great. Met the owners - couldn't have been nicer. Go there! Well worth it!! read more

Good place for late nite food in Rockland. Tasty pizza and cocktails, good bar ambience.

I love it here. Very good food and drinks, staff is well trained. And I love the family style portions! Highly recommend

Had an excellent meal here before the covid outbreak. I had a pasta dish with a spicy, sausage and a green salad. Both were outstanding. Who would think plain greens could be so good. Their vinaigrette has a hint of something sweet in it, and dressed just right. The pasta was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Too full to have dessert, but a great evening. read more

The menu looked great but the service was disappointing as was my meal. The mussels in white wine were made super sweet and the toast points were put on the bottom of the dish so they ended up a soaking wet mess. read more
