5 stars and I only had takeout and a couple of cocktails! Stellar service, even better cocktails and food. I drive by here pretty much every night, and it is always busy. And I mean ALWAYS. Yet the service is on point, and in no way slow due to how busy they are. Happy there is a great restaurant in Rockland. I think it is here to stay. read more

The best Bolognese I have ever had. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely go back. Not cliches just facts

Delicious pizza, good atmosphere, and great service. Interesting menu choices go beyond the typical Italian restaurant fare, and the pizza is divine. The bresaola salad was light and tasty, and the funghi and sausage pizza made our night! Good local/regional craft beer options! Stop in, you won't be disappointed! read more

Was visiting from out of town and was recommended to go to Ada's by a few different people. We started with the meatball appetizer ( my husband never orders them out because he loves his moms), and it was so good, even he had to admit it!....the sauce really made them!!! We also shared the homemade pappardelle with Bolognese that was equally as delicious as well as the mushroom/sausage pizza, who's crust was perfectly crispy. They had a good local beer selection and my husband loved his"old fashioned". Ada's had a great vibe and would definitely return our next time in town! read more

We had a fantastic experience at Ada's kitchen. The service was great, with friendly greetings from the hostess and bartender, who waited on us as well. The atmosphere is clean and modern. Their draft beer selection was impressive, with several local craft beers on tap. We started with the focaccia bread and both had spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was delicious, with both sweetness and a bit of spice. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the bread and olive oil were as fresh as can be. Highly recommend and can't wait to return on our next trip to the area! read more

Visited on our yearly trip to Maine and it did not disappoint! Great selection of Italian food and lived up to the great reviews! Food was yummy and came in a timely manner. No complaints about the food or the service, both were fantastic. Hope to visit again on our next trip! read more

Great service, good food, and even better atmosphere! By far the most hip spot in Rockland!

We dined at Ada's after a long drive from Northern Vermont. Our first time in Rockland and we had no idea where to go or what to have. We knew some traditional seafood was on tap, but we also wanted to have a little bit of fine dining. We wandered the cute Main Street, having Yelped before hand. We were able to get a table without reservations (a weeknight) and proceeded to order salads and pasta dishes. The salads were refreshing and delicious, but the home pastas were just plain excellent. Service was also outstanding. Our server was a very young lady who had clearly had excellent training combined with (I expect) some excellent parenting. All in all, we would go back, and hope Rockland counts itself as lucky to have such a gem. I wish we had something similar in our home town. read more

We did a take out order, went to pick up and we were 10 min late and it still wasn't ready had to wait another 10 min had the focaccia and the mozzerella with pesto and one piece of focaccia with that. The mozzarella with pesto was tasty the focaccia was bland. For dinner we had the spaghetti with meatballs. Meatballs very flavorfuland salty pasta did not taste homemade and the sauce was massively salty salty salty could only eat 2-3 bites of the spaghetti. We had bought homemade burritos earlier in the day and ended up with eating those. Wont be making a second trip there. We have had the homemade pasta from cafe Miranda and it is exactly like my Gammy's homemade pasta. The pasta there did not taste like homemade read more

This place makes a killer funghi pizza. The focaccia is soft but maintains that classic focaccia chewiness. These folks know dough. If Ada was featured on The Great British Baking Show, Mary Berry would say "Now that's a great bake", and Paul Hollywood would shake Ada's hand. Also they have a negroni selection that honors the memory of the late Anthony Bourdain. Well worth the trip from Portland. read more

From Maryland and we spent a week in Maine. Ada's was a very nice place for dinner. We actually started out at Rockland Pub but after disappointing service, we left for Ada's. Excellent pizza and my husband's calzone filled the plate. Bread and olive oil were a great start with marinated olives. Clean, bright and trendy. read more

Delicious dinner! My boyfriend and I ventured in on a cold, snowy night. Cocktails and handmade pasta were just what we needed! I had the Pink Panther (substituted the vodka for Maine Cold River gin) and my boyfriend had some local beers. We shared the fruit and cheese salad - with coffee vinaigrette dressing! - and the daily ravioli. We were given a free desert from a dear friend, and cookies from the owner. Everything was carefully presented and delicious. We will definitely be back next time we're in town! read more

Great place to come with your family! We really enjoyed the large pizzas and side salads. Easy and great for everyone to share. Next time I definitely want to try the pasta dishes. They seemed amazing. The service was awesome, our waitress was very kind and considerate of all our needs. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the new menu! Highly recommend. read more

In fairness, we must have been a victim of bad timing. We'll have a better experience next time.

I had been to Ada's on 2 occasions for drinks and was so impressed by both the cocktails and the bartender that I suggested a dinner there with a group of friends. We all just enjoyed delicious meals as well as superb rounds of drinks. I had the meatball sub which was fantastic! My wife had a pasta/swordfish special and loved it. The pricing is more than reasonable and the atmosphere is upbeat and fun. I will definitely be returning to this great addition to Rockland. read more

Such a great place to go for a great meal for a great price! Julia and Matt made us feel right at home! Very welcoming place with a great atmosphere. Will be back. read more

I'm a snob when it comes to Italian so on a quick trip up the coast , we decided to go here after a few recommendations. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs which I never do at an Italian restaurant mine is always better. It was so light and flavorful , homemade pasta was extraordinary..better than mine. The dipping oil for the bread was so fresh and delightful . The service, the owner and the small band lent to the exquisite ambiance.. You wont be disappointed.. read more

Amazing Italian food. Super cool vibe. Great pasta, salad, and bread. Nice service. We couldn't believe that they've only been open for a short time now. We went there on a Tuesday night and they had a couple singer-songwriters playing. Definitely check this place out! read more

Do not go to ada's kitchen..they have terrible service. They are very rude. Food and drinks arent worth the conceded bartenders/waitresses. Update: I never once said anything about not being served alcohol..I understand the laws and fully abide by them..but when the bartender keeps bringing it up to me without saying a word I find rude and unnecessary..the atmosphere could be great there but you have very unfriendly waitresses/bartenders..also if you want to get into being carded I was there a week ago and I never got carded so your argument is invalid read more

A group of friends and I decided to visit the new restaurant ,Ada's, that was getting a lot of buzz. We arrived and the place had a great vibe. Our server was very engaging and efficient. We all ordered, and when our meals arrived it looked wonderful till our first bite. After a couple of bites I noticed that my carbonara was really salty. I mentioned this to my friends and they all had the same reaction to their food. We mentioned it to our server and after a minute a women came to our table and asked us how was our dinner. We all told her about how it was clearly over salted. We were all very surprise that she had no reaction to our comments. From a customers point of view her lack of concern was surprising. There was no attempt on her part to offer any apology or show any concern that we were unhappy with our dinners. We all agreed that we would not go back or recommend Ada's to our friends. read more

We ate at Ada's last night. I've contemplated whether or not to write a review all day. I know this place is new and so I'm trying to cut them a break. On the whole, this isn't a bad restaurant. They just have some wrinkles to iron out. For this review, I will try to look past the empty water glasses, the slightly MIA server, and the frenetic food runner. I dined with my husband and my aunt last night. Our cocktails to start were delicious and their beer list is pretty good. Both my SO and aunt ordered the saltimbocca special. When my aunt voiced that she didn't love the starch option for the dish we were told the chef wasn't willing to alter the dish but she could do a double of the vegetable. Upon the arrival of their entree, neither the starch or the veg reflected the description on the specials card. If you 86 the roasted potatoes and switch for mashed maybe that should be communicated somehow (particularly if you were unwilling to change them 10 minutes ago) also chicory and spinach aren't the same. On the whole, neither of them was particularly enamored with the meal. I had the carbonara and it was very good. I think the pastas are the real play here. The pizzas that were delivered to nearby looked good but nothing special. None of us had dessert. On the whole, the experience was not bad and not great. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because they're so new and clearly have a lot of kinks to work out. Not sure if we would come back. read more
