After being told I needed a very expensive repair at a chain place, I brought my car to Rose St for a second opinion. The diagnosis I got here made way more sense and was half of the cost of the other place. I left it there for a day and was ready that evening to be picked up, but I left it there overnight with no issues. The owner is really pleasant and it was good experience. Going to bring my car here for repairs if needed.

I called in to make my appointment a month in advance and the owner thanked me for planning ahead. The day of my appointment proved most difficult with tons of traffic and I knew I was going to be late - so I called them on my way to let them know and ask if they prefer I come another time. The owner answered and said not to worry and thanks for the call. When I got there the son checked my car in and drove it around back. I chatted with the father inside the shop while I had my oil changed and battery checked. Everything checked out and my car was brought back around to where I had dropped it in less than 30 minutes - great service!

I usually don't write negative reviews, but I have to this time. My experience with Jafars Mobile…read moreMechanics was the worst car-related service I've ever had - what should have been a simple engine oil change turned into a nightmare. I strongly urge you to avoid them. Here's what happened: 1. Late Arrival: They arrived over an hour late for my 2-3pm appointment, showing up after 4pm. I was understanding, but this was the first red flag. 2. Unrealistic Time Estimates: They told me the job would take 10-15 minutes, but it ended up taking over an hour. I don't mind a longer job, but misleading time estimates are unprofessional. 3. Unprofessional Communication: They left their Bluetooth car scanner in my vehicle and called me multiple times around 11 PM to retrieve it. I initially missed the calls (my phone was on Do Not Disturb), and when I saw their messages, they had a disrespectful tone--blaming me for their mistake because I had supposedly "rushed" them. (For the record, I only asked twice how much time was left, after they exceeded their own estimate.) 4. The Worst Part - Dangerous Negligence: Two days after the service, while driving on the freeway to Snoqualmie, my car began emitting smoke and a terrible smell. Upon checking, I discovered they had forgotten to put the engine oil cap back on. Oil had spilled everywhere, and my car became undrivable. Roadside assistance had to tow it to a service center, where I was informed that overheating had damaged a sensor. 5. Dishonest and Unreliable: I contacted them to explain what happened and requested reimbursement for the costs incurred due to their negligence ($1,036 total: $150 service refund, $194 for roadside assistance, and $692 for repairs). They initially agreed to pay by 3/1, then postponed to 3/6, claiming they needed to investigate a negative review (which wasn't mine--I even provided proof). Now, they've ghosted me since 3/5, despite reading my messages on Yelp. Bottom Line: Their negligence could have resulted in a serious accident, and their refusal to take responsibility speaks volumes. I wouldn't trust them with any vehicle. Save yourself the headache and avoid Jafars Mobile Mechanics.

Same day service for a wheel hub replacement on the 2 front wheels on my Mazda CX-5! During the…read moresnow storm I slid making a right hand turn and slammed both wheels head on into a curb. I heard a growling sound from my front wheels that increased in volume as I went faster. I did some of my own research and concluded it was most likely the wheel hub bearings that were damaged. I took my car to Eastside Automotive and Tires first, and I told them about the noise, but they wanted to change out my struts and quoted me $2800. They said they didn't test drive it and just put it on the alignment rack and saw the caster was off by a quarter inch. They did not have a print out or photo of the readings btw. I asked how much to just replace the wheel hub bearings and they quoted me around $1600 plus taxes. First off, they did not test drive it and did not even spin the tires to hear which wheel, left or right, was making the growling noise. I did not feel like they were being very honest an charged me $100 for the "diagnostic", which I begrudgingly paid. So I called up Cascade auto and they gave me a rough estimate. I took it to their shop the next morning at 7am. They spun the tires and heard the growling in both front wheels and also confirmed it in a test drive. They were flexible with the labor pricing and were able to complete the job the same day around 2pm. They even had an issue with the parts they received being bad and had to remove and replace them. I have been driving my car for about a week now and have not had any issues with the noise. These guys do quality work for a fair price. They are a pleasure to talk to and extremely friendly. I highly recommend this garage. Total I paid was $1550 (315 for each wheel hub OEM), which sounds like a lot, but was definitely cheaper than doing unnecessary work like replacing struts. Follow up, Cascade Auto did recommend I go to Les Schwab for an alignment as this is not a service they provide. There I found out the caster was fine and just the toe needed to be adjusted. Do not go to Eastside Auto!
