I have been coming here since I moved back to Texas from Colorado. Adam's doesn't require an appointment for your car inspection so that's a plus. I'm originally from Houston but have lived in Colorado for 20 years so this was all new to me. I never had to deal with car inspections every year. Thankfully, my car passed inspection and I was out the door in about 30 minutes or less. Their customer service is excellent which is why this will always be my go to place for inspections. They also provide oil changes, brakes, tune ups, etc. If you are waiting in the lobby and have a taste for Mexican food, walk next door to the Valero and grab a meal or take it to go. i discovered after paying over $2000 of "work done" on my car that they ultimately didn't fix anything. Took my car into christian's brothers to see what was with my car still, and they informed me literally everything I paid Adam's Auto to fix, weeks prior, needed to be fixed. I believe they just mickey mouse fix things and scam people their money. I've never had to go back to auto shop more than once within 1 month like I did dealing with adam's. read more

Paid for an oil Change and the receipt showed I paid for an oil filter. However when I got home and checked it was the same filter I had previously installed because I marked it to know if it had been changed. Lost my trust. How can I even be sure I got synthetic oil if I can't trust the filter to be changed. read more

I left this place. Very happy. I will be coming here.. There's a place called Sammys in Euless on Highway 10. I heard he was good but he sent me away to go get my engine washed so he can see where the leak is from. . So I went to Christian Brothers and they say that they do clean the engines or decrease or something like that. They told me I didn't need to do that. They said I have a broken CV axle. That needs to be fixed.. they were also nice too, but looks irritated from me lol I didn't want to ask too many questions. They charged me $1165 to get it fixed . Sammy's didn't know I had that problem So I used up my gas rolling around until I got to Adams. It was perfect nice people very good on time. I felt welcomed there . shiloh and the guys are awesome. I want to thank you guys for everything. See you soon. my husband always told me to go to Adams but I never listen. Back in the days was totally different from today at Adams. I know some of you are tired of looking around to get your car fixed, but is well worth it when you go to 3 to 4 different places good luck . I was referred to Adam's auto by Lift Aids of Texas. I have a rampvan with digital driving equipment totaling over $100,000. I wanted to make sure I have technicians with specific experience in specially modified vehicles for the disabled. Adams auto said they could handle it no problem. I explained to them that I needed an evaluation done on the vehicle for a nonprofit organization to help me with repairs to the digital driving equipment. They need to ensure that the vehicle is in good working order. The technician claimed that he installed the Ignition switch to be able to start the vehicle in order to test it. but when I went to pick up the vehicle the switch was not installed. Also the evaluation paperwork had three X's on it. I specifically told them not to fail anything as I would pay for anything that needs to pass so the paperwork would go through. One of the items that they failed were tires that needed replacing I had them replaced and they still failed the tires on the paperwork! they performed work on the vehicle before giving me an estimate. If they needed to charge me to look at the vehicle to be able to give me an estimate they should've told me that in advance. The first estimate that I finally received was in excess of $1900. I asked them of these items are any of them endangering me if I were to drive the vehicle? and they said no. I asked them to re-do the estimate with only the items that need to be addressed that are in potential danger to the passengers. They claimed to have sent the paperwork by fax to my counselor. I checked with my counselor and she has no information. I then looked at the copy that Adams auto gave to me and they failed to fill out name, address, phone number! therefore my counselor never received it. The second estimate was around $500 and we negotiated down to $285. When he handed me the invoice it said $385. I almost gave him my credit card! I'm glad I double checked. I pointed out the price discrepancy and he acted puzzled went back to the office and brought me out an invoice with the right price. After paying for repairs I called AAA to have my van towed back to my home. When they arrived that's when i noticed that the dash has still been torn open and no ignition switch was installed. The technician had to be called into work to reinstall the ignition switch and put the dash back together. They said they would have the vehicle towed to me when they were done. The vehicle was finally towed two days later after numerous phone calls questioning where my van was. When the van was dropped off I made a video recording showing that the dash is still ripped apart and the computer box ripped open all exposed laying all over the floorboard. When I contacted the shop and explained the situation they kept giving me more excuses. The conversation escalated and then he simply hung up on me. I call back and asked to speak with the owner. Still waiting for his reply. I paid with MasterCard and will be filing a complaint. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and ASE. I turned to Adams after being unable to bring my Ford RV to several Ford dealerships due to them not accepting RVs. I found a light truck service center who would accept my RV, but they had waiting list until january 2024. Adams accepted the RV and solved the problem for a fair price. Terrible experience. Took my Altima to Adams for a heater service. Initially my car didn't regulate between hot and cold easy. No variance just hot or cold. They did a diagnostic and initial repair was $200. Got my car back and there was now a varrying temp but it did not get hot any longer. Took it back and they told me it needed new coolant... and a battery... ok fine. $400 more. Got my car back and still no heat. Took it back a 3rd time after a full day they said they fixed it, got there to pick up my car and it was not fixed. No change to heat. So they kept it another day. Then had to order a part. All along nobody would call me to keep me updated, I had to call every day to find out status. I gave them my phone number each time. On the 3rd attempt they finally did fix my heater but there is now a huge crack on my dash that was not there before. They did not put the panel cover back on. So while my heater is fixed ($800 later) my dash is broken, but I certainly won't be taking another trip to Adam's. Overall a HORRIBLE experience. read more

Honest, quality Service and honesty this is my go to place for state inspections tire changes things like that because they're in my neighborhood my husband has run a diesel company for years so if I have a bit of background knowledge with mechanics cars do you want the simple stuff when you walk into someplace and you know that they'r giving you BS about what your vehicle needs or what's going on and you know it these people are very different they're honest and they're direct and if you don't understand they will find a way to explain it to you I have seen them do that with many customers they're really good people and it's a really great business I highly recommend read more

If I could leave a no star review I would. They were told to inspect an issue only and not to do any work until calling but they did the work without authorization and then called with a price after the work was done. Again they were told not to fix it without calling first. read more

Wow. I had purchased a used vehicle not realizing its many problems. It was unbelievable. They gladly were willing to walk through the car with me. Then the shock of the price. I checked with other places and it was almost 40 percent more. Brandy in the office spent three hours shopping prices for parts to make in more affordable. Otherwise I would have to trash this car. If every place worked with you like they have at Adams it would be a better world. Brandy was an angel and kept the deal alive and I will leave with my car today. This used to be my go to shop. Until the owner insisted to charge me a ridiculous diagnostic fee for a dead battery on top of the part and labor charge. His justification: they have the know how and I didn't, to figure it out. My neighbor used to go here too, until their practices started to change, and their old pricing agreement with him was no longer honored. Please stop trusting these guys!! They're great until they mess up or get in over their head. In December I called Adams and spoke with Joe about my car, Joe advised me to take it to AAMCO transmissions up the street and get my transmission looked at. Turns out the transmission was perfectly fine, so, I take it back to Adams and they say I need a new gasket valve cover. They replace it and it costs $350. 2 days later my car started jolting back and forth as if it were being rammed by another car from behind. We took it back to Adams and got a diagnostics test, they claimed I needed new motor mounts, my husband and I cleaned out 3 bank accounts a week before Christmas to get my car fixed. 2 days later I was able to pick my car up and it was driving worse than it ever had before. We took it back to Adams and Joe and the mechanic that had "fixed my motor mounts" took off in my car for over 20 minutes. When they returned with my car they said "it's your transmission you need a new one", so that goes to show me they were just trying to get my to leave and stop complaining about my car. When i explained to Joe that I wasn't going to accept that answer he ran another diagnostics test. This is where it gets really messy because now the diagnostics test reads a misfire and Joe promised us a free tune and admitted to his mechanic messing up. We thought they were going to do the noble thing but instead Joe didn't tell anyone what he had promised us then went on vacation for WEEKS!! Adam refused to do the tune up and just rigged my car to where it ran for about 4 days then broke down on us with my children in the car. When we called Adams back the woman on the phone started off by telling us that "whatever is wrong probably isn't covered under warranty". They claimed they would send a tow truck to us but I still haven't heard from them and my car cannot be driven at all. We had it towed to a shop by our house and they told us we would need a whole new motor due to the mechanic at Adams damaging our engine internally by either taking the motor out or placing it back in. I was always a loyal customer, I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this auto shop and a lot of money at the Valero taco shop he owns as well, so to be treated like anything less was wrong. I am warning you now to stop trusting them because it doesn't matter how good you are to them, they will still screw you over. I am having to purchase a whole new car and have not had the car they messed up for a year. I spent over a thousand dollars with them to fix my car and now I have to buy a whole new car. Ok , went to this place to get a TNC inspection. (Transportation for hire Vehicle inspection) Dallas county requires this for uber and Lyft drivers. They said my 2014 MKX that has 16000 miles needed a oil change. I thought ok. After 1 1/2 hrs still hadnt been done. Explained it would have to wait till later. WELL! ofcourse I was informed that without it my inspection would be failed...... I paid them the 40 dollars for failed inspection and went down the road without the up charge of 60 for oil change. Stopped at jiffy lube and they pushed a button in my car that showed oil was fine! Have had two inspection centers verify that oil change was not requirement. Certainly not on MY car! My opinion is they saw an opportunity to make a little more money from a female senior citizen with a nice car!!!! And BTW Dallas county Compliance Office is being notified also since it was their website I found this place. read more

Worst shop ever. I took my truck in for an inspection 12-31-14 about mid day. The "owner" of the shop does my inspection. When he took the old sticker off, he left all the trash from it strewn across my dash, he didn't even make an attempt to clean it or get the old sticker residue off the glass. Not just missed a spot but the whole sticker shredded up and paper flakes all over my dash and down inside my defroster vents. Not only that, but he puts the new sticker on crooked and no where near where the old one was. So i ask the cashier if he forgot to clean it, he says "it's fine, just clean it up" like this is MY responsibility. Cashier then has to tell her "boss" that that is "bad for business" He grabs a rag and says, "why you want it clean, don't worry about it" I'm really appalled at the audacity of this guy and how rude one could be to a new customer/complete stranger. I'm sure glad i didn't get my oil changed here. Sure they would've put water in the oil and told me, "don't worry, why you want oil anyway"? Highly recommend against this shop. Only 3 chairs in lobby anyway. Cashier was nice but what does that matter much when a shop is rated on well they handle your car????? read more
