Had disagreement with owner about using Toyota Parts only for front end and brake repairs when I…read moretold him up front that is what I wanted. Went to Freeman Toyota and they thought front end could easily last 50K miles more and they did brakes cheaper than LxToy quoted with all same Toyota parts and even with $250 hr labor including 4 discs. I appreciate Freemans honesty when LxToy was dishonest about front end. Front had been rebuilt 10 years previous and only had 10k miles on repair. Rubber on front end was deteriating due to age but not bad yet.

A year later and I will say they stood by their warranty up to a certain point. I did have to take…read moremy Yukon back to them several times be it for transmission fluid leaks, dipstick tube loose and leaking, chattering/transmission vibrations. All were repaired at no charge although it did seem like warranty work was not there priority, every time I had to bring it back to their shop they would have it for over a week. And trying to get a hold of Daniel was nearly impossible, he's never at the shop, and when you are lucky enough to get him to answer the phone he was just promise to call you right back in 5 minutes, only 5 minutes will turn into 5 days. My final draw with this shop is when I brought it back to them because the transmission would not shift into 3rd gear. Daniel told me it sounds like the clutch drum is probably cracked and that it is a common problem with my transmission. When I asked if that is covered under warranty he said it is not because it is not a part that is replaced with a rebuild kit. Which is true most shops at best will inspect it and test the pressure at best when rebuilding. Mind you from the time I brought it back to finding this out about the drum he had the truck for 4 days and supposedly hooked up the computer and took fluid samples to tell me he thinks it's the drum, he had not dropped the transmission, in order to find out for sure if it was the drum Daniel wanted me to pay $2600 up front to drop the transmission. Which is how much I paid for him to rebuild it. When I asked Daniel what if it's not the drum and it's something under warranty I still have to pay $2600 he said we can work something out. Never before have I ever heard of having to pay upfront for a repair that may or may not be covered under warranty because the mechanic doesn't even know what part has failed. At this point I decided to take it to another shop because once I pay the money you can tell me whatever you want failed and it's not covered by the warranty and now I'm out the money. So I decided to have my truck towed to another shop that was recommended by my daughter that rebuilt her transmission 2 years ago and hasn't had issues since. They rebuilt it for less than what Daniel wanted to drop my transmission for to tell me if it was the drum or not. I told them how Daniel thinks it's the drum without even seeing it, and if it was the drum to replace it. Well it wasn't the drum, the tech took it for a test drive and said he didn't think it was a drum, he dropped the trans and found the 3rd and 4th gear clutch plates were burnt up and the drum was fine. Those clutch plates were part of the rebuild done by Kings Automotive and were covered under there warranty but obviously they did not want to drop the transmission open it back up to find out without being paid up front. Like I said they will take care of the nickel and dime repairs they can do with out dropping the trans. But if it's something internal good luck they will want the money up front at that point good luck. And if it's warranty work plan on being without your vehicle for at least a week if you're lucky. Save yourself the money and headache and go elsewhere especially if it's transmission related

I called around and Callaway's quoted me a fair price. Need a ride home after you drop your car off? No problem! They have a dedicated associate that will drop you off and pick you up. When I picked my car up, the price they quoted is the price they charged me. No random charges/surprises/gotchas. They didn't try to up-sell me or try to get more money out of me. I highly recommend this place if you need your AC fixed. They also stand behind their work with a 12 month/ 12,000 mile warranty (no extra charge).

The customer service of JD garage was EXCELLENT! The guy who answered my call and helped me through was SO helpful (I think his name is Imad), he had me email them a picture of what was wrong, got back to me with a reasonable quote and got it replaced for me, and the entire process was SO smooth! Had my 2008 Chevy Silverado in to have a dashboard cap put over a crack that developed. She was the only one that would touch it. Did a great job at a more than reasonable price. Next had her replace mirrors, on the Silverado, that would not retract and again a great job at about 1/2 what I had been quoted by another shop. Lastly had my wife's 2008 f150 brakes replaced. Put on new pads and rotors at a very reasonable price. She has been very professional and has been willing to text me with an estimate and then completed all work on time. Great communication and pricing as well the as quality of her work. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality car or truck repairs and great pricing.
