    Chicago Restaurant Week Menu
    Sidney Z.

Adalina Italian, what can I say other than it's two blocks from my condo, I've walked by it 1,000 times and I've always wanted to try it! Well, Chicago Restaurant week, now, had given me the opportunity to climb those illustrious steps into what is a very beautiful restaurant. On this cold-snowy night, it was very busy here and the welcome at the front desk was warm and gracious; this was a good start. The menu look great but we had to ask for the Chicago Restaurant week Week menu as that's why we were here? I found that odd? Their fair for this week was basic Italian food and it was good: Two chicken parmigiana and two Blue Fin Tuna Tartare with dessert. Yes we enjoyed but in the end it was expensive. The service was excellent. The noise level was gentle, and the experience being here was pleasant. I would call this experience here as being Four Star enjoyable.

This place is so nice and perfect for a winger date night or spending time with the girls. It was around more than a half hour wait time but overall the service and food was great. Loved their bread service which was enough for three people and got their lam bolongnese which was really good filled with so much flavors. Got their mock tail and it tasted really good so refreshing. Really enjoyed how everything is decorated for the season. Will definitely be back for to try more of their pasta.

Love the ambiance here. Very cutesy, romantic, and grown. Expect dim lighting and lovely chandeliers. The hostess stand is at the top of the double landing staircase. There's a first come, first serve bar, lined with oversized booths and highboy tables. Everything was good - the stuffed bread and meatballs we enjoyed as appetizers, the rigatoni, mushroom pasta, and seafood pasta dishes, and even the entree salad. For dessert, we enjoyed cheesecake, tiramisu, and birthday ice cream. Great service and a great time.

We came here for a birthday celebration and the staff made us feel very celebrated. The food was spectacular - we had the burrata and bread service to start, which I highly recommend. I loved my entree, the Bolognese! The drink options were fun, and if you like martinis, they offer tableside service.

Absolutely loved my experience at Adelina! I was super impressed with the decor, it was beautiful on the inside of the restaurant. I was a little bummed with the truffle Cesear, it was my least favorite part of the meal. However, the cheesy bread service was out of this world. The spicy vodka pasta with gouchujang was 10/10. The wagyu was also fire. Can't wait to try the prime restaurant.

This place is so cute. It was my first time here and didn't even realize it but they have a coat check in at the bottom. Walking up the stairs the ambiance upstairs was so nice. I would say the downside is we had our reservations at 8:15 but didn't get seated until 8:52, which I was wondering why have a reservations. There wasn't a waiting area but the food and service was what made up for it. It was absolutely amazing. We got their bread service enough for three or more people and I got their lamb bolognese which was filled with so much flavors. We also got their apply mocktails. Our waiter was absolutely amazing!! She kept checking up on us and made sure everything was good. For desserts we got their tiramisu and the rotating sorbet which was sos delicious.

Decided to go to adalina Italian for Valentine's Day and when I say everything was delicious. From our server Javier who provided great service to the food was top tiers.

5/5 no notes! This was one of my most memorable meals. We got the Lobster Pasta + added the white truffles since they were seasonal and leaving the menu. The Yuzu steak was incredible. Each dish is shareable with 1-3 people in my opinion, the servings are generous. For dessert we could choose just 1 so we got 1 of everything! The tiramisu was my favorite. If you're going to order a bottle of wine, I highly recommend speaking to the sommelier, she's incredibly knowledgeable and made great recommendations for us on both of our bottles.

    Martini flight. Love this. 10/10

I bookmarked this restaurant after Food and Wine featured its best way to end a meal was with its chocolate bourbon Tiramisu. It has been a few years, but I finally found myself in Chicago and ready to go try this. Sadly, this item was NOT on their menu anymore. :( But, I still enjoyed a good meal. Would I recommend this as a must-go go...no. There were a few small pieces of the experience that could have been better, in my opinion, for the price point of their dishes. The good: --Happy Hour. They have a wide range of drinks and dishes to choose from for happy hour (9 dollar/item). The meatballs were my favorite, along with the bread service. I also tried their martini flight (original, dirty, and Parmigiana). Yes, that is correct. They have a parmigiana martini. It was alright, but I think it could have been better with a Parmesan fat wash on the alcohol or infusing the vermouth with the Parmesan. It was too light in Parm flavor for me. The original was the best in this flight. Missed the mark: --Food delivery. Twice during my meal, food came out of the kitchen, was placed hurriedly on my table, and then the person ran away. It scared me the first time, a bit jolting. --Octopus. I love octopus, and I wish this dish were just "more." It seemed lacking in accompaniments, and the octopus had a slight fishy flavor to it that I haven't experienced in other restaurants. I had higher expectations - especially compared to other photos of this dish. I couldn't taste the horseradish in the goat cheese. It seemed absent to me.

The service was great! The tiramisu martini was exceptional (I wanted more, lol). We started with meatballs and bread. Both pair well together. The meatballs are melt in your mouth delectable. I had the wild mushroom radiatori. The butterfly shaped pasta was a nice touch. Very flavorful.

I will say our servicer was so wonderful. Overall it's a beautiful establishment and the food was pretty tasty. But we did have to wait for our main course so that was a bit frustrating. My friend and I went for restaurant week but ended up just ordering off the regular menu since the restaurant week menu wasn't really giving the value. They also make a great French 75 if you like those

We came for a birthday dinner and it was a lovely experience. We tried: - Gnocco Frito - Veal Chop Parmigiana - Mafaldine Bolognese - Adalina Tiramisu The Gnocco Frito was great, but it only comes with two so we ordered an additional two. The veal chop was great, but I prefer chicken over veal. The star of the show was the tiramisu, I'd come back just for that.

I saw Chef Soo Ahn on Top Chef and loved his creative dishes. So knowing he's the executive chef at Adalina, it's been on my radar. I was not disappointed. First, the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. The attentive wait staff is top-notch and I loved our server Javier. My husband ordered a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino, my favorite. They have an extensive selection. We shared the caviar service and also the truffle caesar. I love truffle everything and this salad was crisp & fresh and lightly dressed with a fabulous truffle dressing. And caviar? 'Nuf said! There were 5 mini gnocco fritto with whipped ricotta and a half ounce of golden kaluga caviar. For dinner, my husband had the veal chop parmigiana and I had the salmon Vesuvio. Both excellent dishes. The veal chop was huge and so tender. It was in a spicy tomato sauce. My salmon was a perfect medium with a crispy potato crust with lighter than air gnocchi. We ended our meal sharing the limoncello blackberry tart. Divine! Tonight's dining experience was amazing. The only thing missing was meeting the chef. Highly recommend!

Is there a dress code for Sunday dinner? My out of town guest only packed a casual knee length dress and leather flat slides. Are we okay to dine?

I've eaten there twice and there has been a wide range of outfits from quite casual to dressy. She will be fine!

Is any of the meat you carry Halal?

Is there a dress code for brunch?

For dinners it’s Smart casual so no shorts, flip flops. I am assuming pretty similar.

Does anyone have a picture of the bar booths?

    It's on my adalina page.

Can I request a half order of the Mezze Rigatoni?

Hi Jeremy! Unfortunately, we do not do half orders, but we are always happy to wrap any leftovers for you in a to-go container.

Up until tonight, my experiences had always been positive and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately, this visit was more than disappointing. I ordered a salad I've had at least a dozen times before, accept I added grilled chicken on top. I live for this salad and was just there maybe three weeks ago. Unaware that they have changed their menu, I ordered as usual. The name of the salad has not changed on the menu, but apparently the ingredients had been completely altered. When the dish arrived, to my surprise, it was drastically different and not something I enjoyed at all. I politely informed our server, who was kind and accommodating, and offered to replace the dish. However, it was now 6 p.m. we had tickets to see The Wiz at 7 p.m. and didn't have time to wait for another order, which I also informed her. I asked if the salad could be removed from the bill since it was essentially untouched. The server checked with the owner, who refused to remove the $30 salad or offer any kind of discount. When a restaurant changes a dish but keeps the same name, it creates a reasonable expectation for returning customers. When that expectation isn't met, basic customer service should step in. What makes this even more frustrating is that the restaurant was willing to prepare an entirely new dish, but not willing to remove the uneaten one from the bill. That simply isn't logical. If you're prepared to replace an item, it clearly acknowledges there was an issue, so refusing to comp or adjust the original charge is unreasonable. That decision was extremely disappointing. I, in-turn made the decision to eat only the additional grilled chicken on top, leaving the rest of the salad, paying the full bill and promptly getting out of there so we could be on time for our show. The only positive part of the experience was our server, who handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. Sadly, the new menu leaves much to be desired and this experience has cost Peanut Park my business and my referrals going forward.

Yesterday I decided to pop on their website again and was delighted to find that they had released same day dinner reservations for patio only dining. The weather was perfect for outdoor dining so I went ahead and booked a table for Friday night. I felt like I won the dinner lottery. Service was wonderful and I didn't mind sitting outside at all next to the road with cars. I actually never stepped foot in the restaurant so cannot comment on what it's like inside. But do not give up that patio dining reservation if it's available. All of our dishes were delicious. I was really impressed by the meatball appetizers, chicken vesuvio (the potatoes are a must get as a side if you skip this dish), and branzino. The meats and sauces were wonderfully balanced and tender. Nothing tasted overly salted. Ironically, the pasta felt less of a star compared to the other dishes. And of course I had to get the gelato, which was so aesthetically presented and the taste just reminded me of an Italian summer vacation.
