Took a friend here after church today and we will be back. It has a vibe for sure and its cozy. As…read morean interior designer, I can tell you that what you see when you first walk in the door really sets the tone for the meal. Best news -- the food was just as good as the setting. No hostess for the first 2-3 minutes but that was ok as we looked around. When we were seated, a young lady arrived at our table to take drink orders and hand us 3 separate menus. There was a standard offering menu, a brunch and a seasonal menu. We went straight for the seasonal menu! Drinks arrived in pristine cut glass and quickly. When we finally made decisions on what tempted us most - it was hard! Hubby opted for a smoked turkey sandwich on toast. Fresh and full of flavor with a hefty helping of turkey. My friend and I both opted for the Autumn salad with candied pecans, dried cranberries, butternut squash cubes, fried goat cheese medallions and added highly seasoned chicken to the mix. Straight from the seasonal menu which only lasts 2 more weeks. Not much talking after the food arrived but we loved all the flavors. Everything is a la carte, so knowing that helps a lot. Still a good value for the money and everything tasted well seasoned and fresh. We will most definitely return soon. This is Midlothian?

Why would someone make a reservation to sit there and wait? Other parties that came after us were seated immediately. No manager talked to us. We left feeling incredibly disrespected, like our business didn't matter to them. I'm not sure if it was something about us personally, but I've never been treated like that at a restaurant I have a reservation at.

Probably the most underrated bbq in the DFW area…read more I've never once had bbq or food from this place that would go under a 4 or 5 out of 5. The quality and the flavor are definitely there. In fact, we came out right after eating at Terry Blacks, and it's pretty comparable. If you were to ask which I'd go to if I had a first pick, then it would come down to what exactly I'm there for. With everyone else's ratings, I'm curious to know where they find better BBQ. List them y'all! Because, if they can, then it has to be something pretty amazing. I've been everywhere in DFW from Terry Blacks to Pecan Lodge to Lockharts and all the way to South Texas. So far, I've had the fried chicken, brisket, chopped brisket, jalapeño poppers, sausage, turkey, ham, ribs, baked beans, and Mac n cheese. I will say almost all of the food was a solid 4 or 5 out of 5! I know the menu and flavors have changed multiple times since I started eating at the Mansfield location, but they haven't committed any sins in my eyes. For instance, I've not really loved the ribs yet, but their chopped brisket, pulled pork, and ham really hit delicious. To me, once all the growth and transitions finish, it should be considered a top competitor for bbq in DFW area.

I ordered the smoked old fashioned but something got lost in translation and I didn't get it smoked for some reason. If you ate at the location in Mansfield, the menu is similar but there are some changes. The Mac and cheese I thought was better in Mansfield with the sausage they add. This location has pulled pork and it was the best meat we had tonight. The sausage wasn't as good as I remember from Mansfield but still ok. The chopped brisket is always a good choice too. Glad to see this place with a bar in a good location.

Nothing wrong with the burger but the attitude of Ivie behind the register is atrocious. When…read morepaying she asked cash or card, I replied that I would be using a "debit card" and she rang it up as credit anyway. I tried to explain to Ivie that it was illegal to charge a credit card processing fee for debit cards. She cut me off mid sentence to condescendingly tell me that she just had one button to push on the register and that it wasn't her problem. When I tried to show her on my phone she cut me off again and assured me that she didn't give a damn. It's not a huge expense but at this point it's the principle. I want my $1.22 cents back and for Ivie to be severely reprimanded. I would also encourage everyone to pay attention to your receipt when dining at Branded Burger as it evidently is their company policy to train their employees to rip off their patrons. I want to emphasize how rude Ivie was, she has no business dealing with customers, not only did she cut me off, she didn't want to hear what I had to say and could have cared less about resolving the issue.
