Focused Trauma Care for Veterans, Military, First Responders & Their Families
At ActivHealing Treatment Center, we recognize that healing from trauma—especially the kind carried by veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families—is rarely a linear journey. You may find yourself in a place where weekly outpatient therapy no longer feels sufficient to address the depth of your symptoms, but committing to a 24/7 residential treatment facility may not be necessary, feasible, or aligned with your current life circumstances.
That’s exactly why we designed our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)—to meet individuals where they are in their recovery process, offering a higher level of support and structure without removing them entirely from their families, communities, or daily lives.
Our PHP provides a comprehensive, trauma-informed treatment experience during the day, allowing you to return home in the evenings to continue practicing new skills in real-world settings. It’s a powerful option for individuals who need more than talk therapy—a healing space that integrates clinical care, nervous system regulation, peer connection, and holistic modalities that promote long-term change.

Meet the Business Owner: Joanna B.
I’m Joanna Bain, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, CA #141851) and the Clinical Director at ActivHealing Treatment Center. With over 5 years of experience in trauma-informed care, I specialize in guiding individuals, couples, and families through complex trauma, anxiety, relational wounds, and life transitions. At ActivHealing, I lead a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting military personnel, veterans, and first responders with evidence-based and integrative approaches to healing. My clinical practice integrates brainspotting, somatic therapy, CBT, DBT, and person-centered approaches—creating a deeply personalized path to recovery for every client we serve. As Clinical Director, I oversee program development, clinical training, and treatment planning for our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and outpatient services. My focus is on creating a safe, collaborative environment where both clients and clinicians can thrive.
