I was sent here by the VA for Physical Therapy because and had no openings in the time I was here. I worked with multiple physical therapist and a lot of medical students. Marla at the front desk was lazy unprofessional and unwilling to do her own job every 19 sessions when you're put here by the Veterans Administration your approval has to be renewed every time my approval want to be renewed as I came two I had to do all the legwork because she was unwilling and unable to contact their own home office to check to see what was going on with the approval. They even asked me why I was calling and not her. I had to tell them I did not know all I knew she was my problem, not hers this triggered response on her which into them not answering the phone so I can make I called from the lobby and Ignore the phone call through the glass door. I they were at lunch when the place was full and everyone was being worked on and the front simply said they're looking at the phone ring if you want I'll professional company to go to. I strongly recommend finding a different company as it is not in your and trust to go here for these reasons, I could never recommend Rancho Physical Therapy to anyone who takes their seriously in any way I would rather be put waiting list to continue doing business with does this tell you? read more

I've had lower back pain for the past four years. Some days are better than others but after my first visit here I had clarity as to why I was feeling it and reassurance that it wasn't sciatic nerve pain. The staff here is so friendly. The ladies at the desk are really easy to talk to and will go out of their way to find you an appointment that fits your schedule, if you ever need to cancel, and you are sure to give proper notice, they are always understanding And I really like showing up and having those warm welcomes the notoriously give. As far as the physical therapist, he is very considerate and thorough. He does an excellent job, explaining what he's doing and why you're experiencing what you are. Even after my first session with him I felt relief. He also gave me exercises that I can do at home and being able to address my own pain as well as prevent it feels empowering. The assistance that they have are also fun and friendly. I have had nothing but great experiences here and with the staff. If you've been experiencing muscular pain or stiffness and putting off being seen, I highly recommend you put your comfort first and you make a stop here. read more

I can't say enough good things about the Rancho PT in Oceanside. The staff there is stellar and they have done excellent work with me. Last year I had a shoulder impingement, a sacral insufficiency fracture, and this year meniscus tears. All the staff I've worked with have understood the issues and helped solve pain, reduced flexibility and weakness. With respect, compassion and kindness. Vanessa in particular is so knowledgeable. Megan and Roy were also great, and the support staff seem knowledgeable as well. I understand that the main business has had some issues, but I'm really hoping that this Rancho PT location will continue to provide this wonderful service. read more

I went to see a "therapist"; however, I was assigned a PT student without prior arrangement or my personal agreement, by stating something to the effect of: "Hope you don't mind..." while I was cornered in a small room with three people. It was too manipulative to refuse. I sincerely dislike students and observers coning into the room. They do not consider my privacy. I truly did not appreciate that I was not given a chance to decline to have a student to work on me. It was not fair at all. I should have stood up and left. I left without making the future appointment. This is what I could to at least. read more

First, I didn't receive the link to full out forms in the portal until an hour before my visit and wasn't able to fill them out prior to arrival and had to fill out everything on paper. Second, I got called back 10 minutes after my appointment and the PT, I assume, John seems to have no friendliness in him at all. I'm tired it's been a long day and the least that I deserve is a little bit of kindness and decency. Unfortunately, this seemed to be beyond him. He asked how I had injured myself and I told him and when we got to discussing this method of injury, which is Zumba, he started saying how Zumba is great for cardio and all and I interrupted very nonchalantly with I don't do it very often, only when my friend who is a Zumba instructor comes in from out of town, she's in Las Vegas. He then looked at me and said can I finish? This was completely unnecessary and immediately put my back up. He could have just said, well that's good, I'm glad you don't do it that often but and then continued what he was going to say. But instead, he chose to belittle me. I'm a grown adult. I deserve to be treated like one and not spoken to like a child. When I'm only trying to make conversation, I get chastised. I then started arguing a little bit more and raising my voice and he again reiterated about my needing to let him finish and I said no and I walked out. I will not be dealing with a physical therapist who treats me as less than. Not now, not ever. read more

I had physical therapy today with Megan. I walked in with knee pain and after she did therapy using a scrapping device my pain was gone. Megan wrap the surrounding knee with black tape and had me go through several exercises. The staff was friendly and I loved the music. This was excellence in motion. Thank you. All the best. I realize this is one of those places where your mileage may vary, but it has been a very good fit for my needs. I honestly chose this PT from a list for its convenient location, and got lucky that the therapists are excellent here (I did PT around the corner from here 2 years ago for the same issues and it wasn't good at all). Regardless of my number of check-ins, I've been coming for months and have logged over a dozen visits. A huge plus is they are open during this whole Covid thing, as many of my pain management modalities are closed. They keep the space very clean, and have greatly reduced the number of patients seen per day. I love that they tailor my hour to how I feel- if my pain is high, it's more massage, Graston method, e-stim and ice. If I feel okay, I get to work on improving my mobility and strengthening my shoulder. I actually subluxed then fully dislocated my shoulder in the midst of coming here, and the therapy here was much more pleasant than going to Urgent Care (I still have traumatic memories of them yanking my arm the last time it dislocated lol). They are also very honest. I am fully aware now that I will never be pain-free, but I can manage my inflammation and such with proper diet (yay for my so-called low-carb life!), exercise and meditation/breathing. That said, I have learned a lot of exercises and isometric holds, and they even gave me a free app with all the exercises so I can do homework on my own. The app is great- it tracks my pain level and how difficult each exercise is. Overall, I am truly grateful for this business. 3/5/24 1st Rancho PT. The check-in process was fast and easy. They even have walk-in computer for self checkin. Always go 10-15mins earlier if it's your first time. The facility is clean, open and airy with a few select private rooms. The (Tyler, PT) was very informative. His explanation of root causes and possible detriment to your future health are very detailed. I Appreciate his vast knowledge in the field. His attentiveness is awesome and that sense of humor. Pelvic foot therapy. I am a Disabled Veteran. Megan is top notch. The staffing at desk is inconsiderate, rude leave you feeling undervalued. I never received a courtesy appt. Reminder. They over book! After waiting 20 minutes, I inquire about no appt. Only to be told let me check. Prolonged sitting, standing causes pain increase. I informed desk I'm leaving pregnant women tells me I will be charged. I don't pay. The VA does. Second time with her. Twice I've thought to change from this mistreatment. Thursday past , I message them to check if I had an appt. 9am. No, response. 3pm I received a call from Rancho PT. "YOU HAD AN APPT. 230PM. WE ARe Going to charge you." I made it to 70 without the need for PT , so I did not know what to expect from a physical therapist. I have arthritis and bone spurs in my knee . Physical therapy is difficult to review. As each individual's recovery and injuries are unique. My review is focused on my experience with RPT not so much my recovery. My first session seemed promising after a very detailed discussion of my injury. I was instructed to perform a series of exercises but never observed as I performed each task. My first session and nobody is observing me in what I'm doing?! I was then sent on my way with a print out of exercises. Also included was a list of items to purchase to be able to perform a few of the exercises. Which actually delays my ability to perform a few of them. I'm told the exercises should be completed before my next appointment. The second appointment was off to a bad start. I arrived with another issue which was impacting me on that day. I performed the new regiment of therapy but my session was constantly interrupted by other staffers needing to speak with the individual helping me. Frustrating to say the least but also impacted my session in a negative way. I was sent on my way again and told they would email me a link with access to an app or the new exercises. I never received any correspondence from RPT after this visit. I had to delay my next appointment due to the secondary injury. Now onto my third appointment where I decide it will be last. I'm explaining my lack of progress and the secondary injury I'm still working through. I'm told they can't help me with that. Ok. I understand that as it's not part of the original referral but I'm also informing the individual to help them understand my current status and or limitations. The session involves some massages that did absolutely nothing to help my condition. I'm then given four tasks this session. Now after the first task is communicated. The person helping me wanders off. I'm left unattended waiting for someone to return for up to fifteen minutes after completing each task. I debated several times whether I should just walk out and leave. My session was extremely drawn out and felt like a complete waste of time. I'm driving from SDSU to Carlsbad. This is easily a 45 minute drive each way that I've invested to attend RPT. Ultimately the issues with RPT are the following: - Lack of care when it came to exercise observation to prevent further injury. - Long blocks of time during exercises where I'm left unattended - Inability to listen to the status of my condition - Was not provided at home instruction to perform in between appointments. - Constant interruption during multiple appointments The one thing they did care about was me not returning. They sure kept calling me to reschedule. I hope you have better luck in your recovery but I won't be returning to RPT for it. read more

I dont like being touched or moved by anyone other than myself lately because of the amount of pain I'm in. On my first day I met with Megan, she was so awesome to work with from day one helping me relax, zero awkwardness and just so vary comforting. I can attest first hand that she and Juan and all of the staff are committed to our recovery. This is where you want to be if you are in need of compassionate, focused healing. I had a total reverse replacement of my left shoulder two weeks ago and I've had three sessions with Rancho Physical Therapy in Oceanside, CA. My therapist Roy Tejidor and in fact everyone at this location have been professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Roy has demonstrated to me that he understands the muscle and bone structure of the human shoulder and great progress in range of motion is being made after each visit. Megan is awesome at helping restore my core after two pregnancies in a row (one was 10 lbs!). My diastasis recti was improved after the first session and continues to improve each visit. Homework exercises are easy to do and fit into my schedule. She is really knowledgeable and my posture is definitely improving and my back pain has lessened. I've been working with Meagan Andrew at Rancho Physical Therapy for the last few months on an ankle injury that was supposed take MUCH longer to heal. Meagan is not only helping me heal faster than predicted, but she is making it a joy to be there. The first thing I noticed on day 1 was that they had good music playing so it didn't feel so depressing (even though the circumstances of how I got the injury made me feel so sad and I was a hot mess). That was a huge plus. It is just really good energy in their offices and that is because Meagan and Roy and the rest of the staff are really positive people and great to be around. Meagan is so educated on the body and good at her job, she is constantly coming up with new ways to heal the injury and make progress which keeps it interesting. I've been to PT in the past for a different injury and dreaded going, but now I actually look forward to it with Meagan because I know I am going to leave there feeling physically better. I always leave there feeling happier than when I came in as well. Also, you can tell that Meagan actually cares about getting you better. It's not just a job, it's a calling for her. So that's my two sense! If you're trying to find a great place to get better-Rancho is the way to go. I went to Rancho Physical Therapy in Oceanside for a broken and nerve-damage foot for several weeks. Everyone there treated me like family. My sessions were full of encouragement, humor and patience. Megan W. was my main therapist and she couldn't have been more supportive and informative. She educated me on my injury, reassured me when I was down, and applauded my efforts and progress. Special shout outs to Rachel and Kim who helped out with my sessions, and Marlene at the front desk who kept the whole operation running.
